Easy to create backup jobs - easy to restore from backups.
It's a reliable service and relatively easy to use. It works well with UpCloud.
CONSIf there's something to be mentioned, it would be that the number of backup jobs could be a bit larger by default. However, that is not a dealbreaker for using this service.

Excellent set-it-and-forget-it backup service
I'm using it to take nightly snapshots of my data-intensive hobby project to make updating my local environment with production data as quick and easy as possible. Doing all this stuff manually isn't difficult, but it is tedious and time-consuming so I greatly appreciate how streamlined and simple SimpleBackups have made this process.
PROSIt was super easy to implement on my Rails + React site
CONSIt's expensive, especially for my needs. I'm grandfathered into the free tier and am very appreciative of that but for my hobby site needs, the paid plans are just too much. I'd be happy to pay $10-15/mo for the service for this lower tier if it became required but $30+ is too much.
Reason for choosing SimpleBackups
I came across it years ago and it had a free tier which many/most others did not. Since my project is just a hobby that costs me money already, having a simple, free solution to handle nightly backups was critical.

SimpleBackups is an easy to use product that offers point to point backups
It offers exactly what we needed. We need to be able to backup between different cloud storage points and it works perfectly for that. The interface offers just the right level of customization.
CONSI ran into one bug with it. However, when contacting their support, they fixed this within 24 hours.

Good value for money
Scheduled backups is the most important things for us and this is well provided in simpleBackups.
PROSSimplicity in use and in presentation.Gui shows the neccessarry things. Backup database in scheduled way
CONSAs things were programmed to API of online provider youre not total free to cusomize the backups the way you want

Easy to setup and scale backups for your SaaS platform
Overall very pleased. We run a multitenant payments platform, and database backups are critical for our customers to ensure that we don't lose data. It's also important to have a working database backup solution that we don't need to configure once it's been set.
PROSIt was extremely easy to setup and get going. I was able to get offsite backups working within 20 minutes!
CONSFrom a functionality perspective, it's great. I think the only improvement I can suggest is some UI enhancements, but they seem to be updating the product regularly, so I'm sure it's not far off.
