Storage with no barriers.
Zero latency for opening large files.
PROSOne central hub to monitor and update the storage for our entire company. No downtime and no complaints.
CONSwould be great to have a better link between archived/backed up storage with live storage (i.e. stub files or links) - but the Qumulo team keep improving the software with every version.

Happy qumulo customer
We are very happy and the users are in love having everything in one central network share now
PROSSupport is amazing and the best I have ever used in the industry for any hardware or software vendor. The meta data and monitoring is also "baked" into the software.
CONSThe software is still a little expensive so it can be hard to expand the system without a lot of upper management support.

Qumulo was more agile then Dell, updates and day to day up keep was easier during our interviews with customers of Qumulo vs customers of Dell EMC

Qumulo for Video Production Asset Management
It has been a big asset to our team and I look forward to improvements down the road.
PROSEasy to use and versatile for our video production backup/archival needs. Also allows us to work directly from Qumulo.
CONSLearning curve and access for people on my team can be a challenge.

Qumulo - day to day operational use in a 24/7 critical environment
Simple and as it works so well there is very little overhead. over time you can forget it exists
PROSUptime and stability with deep analytics
CONSnew features are added and at time's i found some features were not available. However the release cycle is regular and features requested are added to the product providing it is something people want.

Storage of security camera footage.
PROSThe support on the product is by far the best support I have ever received being in the industry for 20 years.
CONSThere are some limitations for SFTP but not a huge deal. The permission can be a little confusing at times but after you get used to it is not an issue
