QAV for Scheduled & Supplemental Operators

Overall QAV MX System is a very competitively priced system offering operators of any size of any aircraft types the tools to control, manage and analyze their data that almost no other competitors can match at the same price point. I personally was introduced to QAV at a past employer (airline) and since then have deployed it at my current airline.

PROS

QAV is a great control to standardize and combine interfacing departments for data collection for all maintenance activities on our aircraft. From controlling material management, scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, records, and CASS activities it has allowed our company to analyze data entry from multiple angles revealing trends that have prevented delays. The Systems capabilities are endless and simple in design permitting quick learning and familiarity. Support is excellent with issues (self caused) being corrected within hours.

CONS

Drawbacks to the system are virtually non-existent. The occasional anomaly does surface due to bad data entry from a user, but these are quickly remedied by QAV with no work stoppage.

QAV Software Review

Was able to efficiently track ten aircraft with no meaningful issues. Tech support is first class.

PROS

Ease of use and setup as well as amount of useful reports you are able to generate. You can track virtually anything on the aircraft.

CONS

There is a slight learning curve when setting up Airworthiness Directives, but very useful once set up.

Great product support

PROS

Cost / Product ratio is great. Great product and support for the cost. Meets our needs very well.

CONS

Not the most swoopie program. A little dated. Sometimes it seems that the program does not comunicate well with itself. It has several "sections" but the sections do not talk. IE. Logpages and aircraft parts masters. Removing a part off the logpage you would think it would also remove it from the aircraft? Nope.

Clarification: Any module that must communicate with another module does so. There is no double-entry required. Any time that an action taken by a user does not result in automatic posting to another "section" of the program is when we have decided to place more control in the hands of the user to verify that the action they want performed is correct.

Contractor Operated Maintained Base Supply

This is a system that can do it all. I strongly recommend this system for any company with aircraft support and supply functions.

PROS

Excellent system. Great for management of all supply related transactions for tracking aircraft parts from receipt, issue, repair, return and inventory. A large varity of management reports are available with the system to help improve your logistics support and accountability of assets. Customer Support is top notch. With a simple phone call, questions are normally answered on the spot and proplems are resolved quickly.

CONS

As with any new program, training to some extent is a must. For ease of implementation, I would recommend training for every user.

QAV MX Systems

I would recommend this product to anyone with a charter airline or repair station that has items to track.

PROS

Customer Support is always available. Data entry is easy to learn and teach. The program is very user friendly. I like having a test side that we can train on.

CONS

Sometimes it is hard to reverse something on your own. But customer support will always take care of what you need.
