About Promyze

To produce high-quality code daily, software developers must know which best coding practices to apply so that code will be uniform and will require less effort during code reviews. Promyze offers features to involve every developer in the process of best practices suggestions and validation so that everyone feels responsible for achieving code quality. Promyze comes with a framework called Craft Workshops, which stands for a 1-hour meeting dedicated to technical discussions and best practices assessment. Such workshops happen regularly, like every week or once every two weeks. In these meetings, developers discuss best practices identified in the code they work on every week. They can catch examples and counter-examples of best practices; both will help everyone to...

Helped us improve quality and onboard new team members

PROS

We have used Promyze for about a year in a multi-vendor team in one or our public sector engagement, and are very happy with it. We are now starting the process of setting it up for the whole company, bringing best practices to all of our teams. Promyze brought recurring code review meetings, a.k.a "Craft Workshops" to our team, providing us with an framework to look at our overall code health, and encouraged us to record best practices and team agreements which were otherwise scattered in people's brains. Feedback from junior developers who joined the team after we set up Promyze with a few best practices was great, they said they were regularly checking it to see how they should write their code.

CONS

The integration with GitHub is not always the most user-friendly, however, we appreciate the difficulty of developing those integrations that augment the ever-changing GitHub UI.
