Microsoft Dynamics 365 Software

Microsoft Dynamics 365 provides integrated solutions that allow businesses to track leads, automate field service, drive sales and improve operations using mobile, enterprise-ready business apps from the cloud.

Microsoft Dynamics 365 offers supporting apps for iOS, Android, and Windows Phone. Apps are available offline, so users can work without data connectivity and data will sync automatically once a connection is reestablished.

The system’s business apps are designed to be deployed as a package or independently as companies grow and expand, and all work together as part of a larger software solution. It integrates with applications such as Outlook, Lync, SharePoint, OneNote, Word, and other Microsoft applications to minimize double entry and save time.

The system is designed for collaboration where users can interact in Yammer and can quickly add colleagues to projects and meetings. Pricing is per user per month. Support is provided via an online forum, email and phone.

Dynamics 365 for phones

Value for Money

This software has many other great options and I am confident my organization will use for more than service .

Pros

Dynamics 365 is a very good tool and my organization has chose it for customer service application. It’s very reliable and I had a training on using it, it offers good connections with day to day Microsoft office software such as word, excel...

Cons

As we are still not able to use completely this software, I might only refer to my experiences from trainings. Dynamics 365 for phones has a lot of bugs and the arrows next or previous page do not work properly all the time.

Pros

I like how it helps me stay updated with all my marketing and meeting schedules. It is a highly effective tool to manage large data sets and provide a proper structure by keeping everything organized.

Cons

Not very customizable and thus not fully suited for all sorts of business requirements. Also, the user interface seems a bit complicated and less user friendly.

Just use it. Sure it's a CRM, but it's so very much more than a CRM

Pros

The feature set and communicability are wonderful. You can implement all of your documents and workflows.

Cons

Some of the customization can be a bit confusing to implement. As the related entities are not intuitive.

Value for Money

I'm a big fan of Office 365 and thought that Dynamics 365 would be the natural addition as a sales CRM. It was less expensive than Sales Force. I had complaints from my sales team that it was difficult to use. To be fair, it "could" be customized to be easy to use but I was looking for something out of the box and cost effective for a small business. This was not it. For a larger business and having customization, this product would likely be excellent. Unfortunately, for my purposes it was lacking.

Pros

VERY robust. You can do pretty much anything with this!
Integrates very well with Office Products.
Has a mobile app.

Cons

VERY expensive.
Need to have 5 licenses minimum.
Doesn't work "out of the box". It needs a great deal of customization.

All in all Microsoft Dynamics 365 is a leader in CRM's! I would recommend it 100 times!

Pros

What can't you do with Microsoft Dynamics 365! Since transitioning to this program, my job has been so much easier. Dynamics makes it easy to manage EVERY part of the customer's account. I can run action sets, send custom emails, manage registrations to our events.

Cons

Dynamics does not have a user- friendly interface like some of their competition. The problem is there is so MUCH access you can get lost in the software. You really have to have a person in the company dedicated to Dynamics for all the employees to get the full use of it.

Multiple functionalities, but way too complicated of a CRM

Ease-of-use

Overall it takes too long to input new information and that doesn't make the sales reps jobs easier.

Pros

The many different things you can do as a sales rep with Microsoft Dynamics is amazing, and it's intention is to streamline the process (like sending automatic e-mail reminders to prospects you've set meetings with), but there are too many other negatives.

Cons

It is not a simple CRM to use, and for sales reps, we want to be setting meetings ans selling, not spending hours on our CRM logging our new information. It's far too complicated with far too many steps to be an efficient CRM. Everything about this CRM has too many steps in my opinion, and when you want to set a reminder to cold call the prospect (opening their business door) it sends an e-mail out to the prospect inviting them to a meeting.

Worth looking into to rollout for other customers.

Pros

Deployed Dynamics 365 for a customer who needed great durability and the need to expand or shrink with the needs of their business needs. Excellent support from Microsoft to adapt well and add additional storage to either one drive or storage solutions.

Cons

Some of the larger packages can become expensive outside of the free tier trials. However these can be overcome with support from Microsoft.

Dynamics 365

Ease-of-use

Functionality

Product Quality

Customer Support

Value for Money

Dynamics 365, like most Microsoft solutions, is a solid system. As always, it should be researched and compared to other systems to see which system and features will work best for your company. While this would not be my go to recommendation for a CRM system, I wouldn't count it out either if I find my client's needs match what Dynamics 365 can provide for them.

Pros

Dynamics 365 offers the flexibility of a more ala carte system than does Salesforce. It also is inherently integrated with Office 365 which makes it a great option. Setup and maintenance are similar to most CRMs, so even if you are not familiar with this particular one but have used others, making the switch is not too difficult.

Cons

The Dynamics 365 pages load slower than I would expect. I have worked with this over a period of time and the experience was consistent regardless of time of day or amount of data in the system at the time. Additionally, any customizations done, whether it be creating and running a custom report, creating custom fields and page layouts or creating custom workflow rules, all of these are done in a new window of the browser rather than in a new tab. This can make your computer desktop and work space feel cluttered. The overall feeling of the application is that it lacks flow and sophistication. While the feeling may not impact the overall function of the system, it can leave the admin and/or end users with the feeling that the system is kludgy and not well thought out.

Overall good system, easy to use, just wish the bugs were not there.

Pros

The system is easy to use with tagging emails and seeing all client info in one place. Overall made communication across our organization easy.

Cons

Must do steps in a specific sequence for the system to work properly (even if not necessary to create preliminary steps), lag in recognizing updates to errors that occur because of this.
For instance: If a client just wants a quote an we know they will purchase the item you cannot simply make a quote. You would have to create a sales opportunity first and assign all of the values to the field before moving forward. In this instance there is no need to create an "opportunity" for the client - as they just want to buy an additional item and want to purchase immediately. This creates unnecessary steps and time.
If you create a quote before an opportunity the system created an error that "broke" the system until fixed. Even after fixed the error message it would take a long time to move forward, which stopped the entire purchasing process.

Pros

Great platform for the distribution of apps within an organization. The inclusion of many useful apps developed by MS and others is a great addition and allows employees to empower themselves to discover new ways to be more productive.

Cons

The sheer amount of content available can be daunting and make it more difficult to focus users on specific apps that the organization wants them to see. The user interface is also a little light given the functionality under the hood here.

Dynamics allows firms to join the current digital era, and this fosters the process of decision making, and facilitate innovation. With Dynamics, it is easy to anticipate the clients needs, and this enables firms to prepare adequately on how to deal with their customers. Dynamics is an easy to use tool, which is very resourceful and rich. I love Dynamics abilities and capabilities.

Pros

It has come to my attention that Microsoft hardly disappoint. The vendor seem to have her customers at heart. Dynamics is one of the easiest product to use, considering the comprehensiveness it has. Its integration with other Microsoft tools is great, and this make its functioning perfect. Dynamics is easy to customize, where even a person who lacks significant computer skills can create accounts, contacts, and the rest; no programming skills that are required. It is accessible at every place, anytime. Furthermore, even when there is no internet connection, one can make entries, and when the connection is back, there will be a complete data synchronization.

Cons

Every time there is a release on new improvements (updates), there are system failures and sluggishness. Even through the product is easy to use, it is not very friendly for beginners. For it to start, Dynamics requires a lot of customization. Furthermore, Dynamics is significantly slow while used in mobile phone.
