Mature modeling software for data architecture and DB Design
ER/Studio has a couple of decades of usability and functionality improvements. Covers most commercial enterprise RDBMSs, plus a few NoSQL databases.
CONSAs new database technologies come about, Idera has trouble keeping up with all of them and their features.

Solid IDE for Data Integration
The community edition is free for small businesses, students, and open source projects. This edition contains most of the features you would ever really need. Other editions are reasonably priced and can be paid via a monthly subscription. Really good integration with GIT. Recently updated their SSIS and SSRS constructs to allow easier merging via GIT. New modular install allows you to only load the relevant parts of the software that you will be using.
CONSThere isn't a lot of information on SSDT projects. Which is a shame, because after sticking with this project type, I have found it absolutely essential to any SQL server database work in a team environment. There could be better updates to SSIS XML and SSDT proj files to really make GIT merging even better. But it is still light years ahead where it was at just a couple years ago. The loss of Lightswitch is really a shame. Microsoft really needs a Rapid Application Development tool for the enterprise. Lightswitch was just so easy to use. It's a shame they are no longer supporting it.
