A great Australian based software.
The administration time that the software saves ensures that we can spend time on whats important in our business, making relationships and ensuring customers have a great experience. The investment in the software saves us time and money, as we focus on whats important.
PROSOur customers often comment on the user friendly features, with our Online Customer Registration Portal. We initially went with Gymnastics Biz due to the pricing model -with starting a new business we didn't know how many active customers we would have.
CONSWe would like more Direct Debit integration offers.

Using this software due to previous committee/ management decision
Customer service are friendly, however the developers don't respond to/ or seem to care about actual user needs (I've been told multiple times 'it is the way it is'). The program is advertised to to reduce admin but at times we have to do multiple things twice, or we don't have the capabilities to do what our business needs.
PROSI like viewing the weekly schedule on one page and the colour coding of the classes. More complaints because I ran out of room in the below box: Customer credits applied are not noted on customer statements, leading to more admin responding to queries. People can still pay for invoices that have been altered or deleted which leads to masses of more work for us. It would be good if the invoice could be retracted/ replaced (or the online link to pay invalidated with a message stating why it's changed). We do email them. For example, we run a special at the end of the year - pay your invoice by the end of the year and receive this years hourly rate. Under our auto re-enrol we issue an invoice, and then people pay the cheaper invoice anyway which makes our special invalid. We had an issue with the COVID shutdown when we got into a week of our competitive kids terms, I changed the 10 week invoices to 1 week (200 invoices) and people still payed the full term and when the payments came in there was nothing to match them to in Xero.
CONSIntegration with Xero is problematic at best, deleted invoices need to be deleted in both programs, leading to a doubling up of work. The integration should feed both ways. There's no way to print out a report of current customers signed up to Direct Debit, so we can't contact them at the end of the term asking them if they want to continue, to set them up for the following term, leaving a number of people assuming that payments are automatically set up (we send many reminders to all members) which results in unhappy customers that thought they were paying and now are in weeks of arrears. You are forced to assign a class 'number' when setting up a class if there's already a class assigned to a number it won't let you set up the class - this was not explained upon sign up and has made a big mess that's going to take hours to fix. We do not want or need this feature, we are able to manage our schedule our way perfectly fine. There is no way to turn this unwanted feature off. There's been issues with running GymBiz on Mac (crashing multiple times per day) It's not a visually appealing product to use. We had a problem with GymBiz sending 2 emails to every email address which caused a lot of customer dissatisfaction, this went on for over a year.
Reasons for switching to GymnasticsBiz
At the time there was no Australian customer support Management at the time did not understand how to use payment integration. This program is easier to use, much nicer to look at, it didn't crash every day, we weren't asked to update it everyday. If we didn't spend so much time setting up GymBiz I'd go back to iClass.

Good software program
It has been great for keeping track of attendances, invoicing and contacting families with ease
PROSEase of access to all customer information and contacting customers
CONSits integration with xero, it would be great if all changes made to invoices in Gymbiz carried over to xero.

Great Product Care free Admin
Best experince great software. I can now the run the gym 100% of the time from anywhere in the world.
PROSEasy to use. Streamline. Just one person to manage 600 students with ease. Great apps for coaches great record keeping. New to the scene but have everthing you need. Great inbuilt automatic marketing tools.
CONSNone this product ticks al the boxes. The product is Simply the best.

Gymnastics Biz
The export feature for athletes is beneficial when registering to NSW Gymnastics Association.
PROSI regularly use the class schedule and Invoice payment options find them easy to navigate.
CONSI find it frustrating to have to search between invoice payment and Customer information page when searching for customers that ave different surnames to their children. It would be great if the search function was able to determine the link.
