Improves Patient Care and Practice Operations

Health Desk is an incredible product that has allowed our practice to completely streamline incoming clinical triage and patient scheduling. Standardization of triage and complete transparency and visualization across the practice into all incoming clinical calls has drastically improved documentation quality and allowed us to attain our our best practice of a return call in under 30 minutes. The Health Desk scheduling component has revolutionized the way we schedule patients - the hundreds of scheduling rules for our women's health multispecialty practice with varying complex service lines and 44 unique providers that used to be in a 170 manual are now literally built into the Keona Healthdesk platform - we've reduced our onboarding time for new patient coordinators by over 70%. Health Desk takes care of the rules, reducing scheduling errors, and allowing our patient coordinators and staff to focus more on the customer experience during calls. Most recently we launched a patient self scheduling version of Heatlh Desk - Keona PSS. This patient facing version has increased the number of appointments patients schedule themselves on line while improving accuracy and efficiency.

Athena meets our needs from a clinical care and billing perspective however the scheduling is suboptimal.

Why I prefer this product

We have been using their products for more than 5 years and have been very satisfied. Downtime has been minimal and they have been great partners in thinking through better ways to use the tool.

PROS

Being able to customize the protocols for both scheduling and triage are extremely important to our business, as we continue to work to listen to our providers and match their needs for support with the product, better insuring that we are always working towards providing a superior patient experience.

CONS

You do have to think through how the information will eventually be recorded into the patient's chart. Each question that you add to your protocol can definitely impact that.

Keona Health Desk

Call center protocols, scheduling protocols, on line scheduling options for our patients.

PROS

The software provides our call center staff with step by step questions to obtain accurate medical information to provide to our physicians. The physicians are able to provide detailed response quickly to our patients.

CONS

The in building process is very in depth and requires a lot of time and attention to building the algorithms. The spreadsheets for the protocols are detailed and take time to adapt to the building process. The administrative side of Keona is very easy to use and intuitive.

Reason for choosing Health Desk

We had a couple on site visits and saw the product work in person and the team worked very closely with us during the discovery phase and was very attentive and provided detailed answers and information.
