Best EMR I have used and tried 3 for my practice before SPRY

I am extremely satisfied and recommend this software to any physical therapy private practice owner. I tried 3 software in the past 3 years and this is by far the best, especially with customer service. They answer the questions within 5 min. Our onboarding was fantastic.

PROS

The customer service is superb. The EMR system is excellent for documentation and continuity of care. The HEP can be emailed to the patient within the program; so no need for another software. The SOAP notes are easy to write but thorough.

CONS

I would like to have a "store" integrated for cash-based services. We sell bandages and offer laser and shockwave therapy. We can't account for this in the system and need to use Excel. I would also like a patient portal where we can communicate with the patients and have them write reviews directly from the portal.

Reason for choosing SPRY

Price and updated UI. WebPT needs a facelift. It looks very 2000 and the system requires a lot of user training which means that it is not intuitive. Learning a new program takes time and time means money.

It would take me 4 hours for documentation.

Speeds up claims for better cash flow.

I am particularly impressed with the level of communication and customer service provided by the Spry team. They are responsive, eager to help, and genuinely interested in making sure their system meets the needs of their clients.

PROS

What stands out most about Spry is its efficiency in significantly reducing the documentation time required per patient. Previously, with our old Electronic Health Record (EHR) system, it would take about 30 minutes to complete documentation for each patient. With Spry, this time has been drastically cut down to just 7 minutes. This has greatly enhanced our operational efficiency and allowed us to allocate more time to patient care rather than paperwork.

CONS

As a newer player in the EMR market, Spry naturally has some growing to do. There are a few key features currently missing that would significantly enhance its utility from a practice management perspective. For instance, more robust integration capabilities with other systems are needed to streamline various office functions. Enhanced communication tools for better interaction with patients would also be highly beneficial, improving our ability to engage with patients effectively and efficiently. Additionally, adding inventory management functionalities would help in keeping track of medical supplies, which is crucial for any medical practice. These additions would make Spry more comprehensive and valuable as an all-in-one solution for medical practices.

Reasons for switching to SPRY

We chose Spry for its modern user interface and its foundation by a physical therapist who understands the unique needs of our profession, unlike systems developed by generic entrepreneurs or corporate entities. This background ensures that the features and workflows are tailored specifically to enhance clinical efficiency. We switched to Spry because our previous system was slow and inefficient, often taking weeks to process and submit claims, which strained our cash flow and administrative resources. In contrast, Spry’s efficient processing and intuitive design have not only expedited our billing cycles but also improved our overall operational efficiency, allowing us to focus more on patient care and less on administrative burdens.

ProTeam Tactical review

SPRY has been wonderful to work with and we are currently working on transitioning all clinical aspects of our practice to SPRY EMR.

PROS

Completely customizable. Hands-on technical support and go-live support for clinical and billing staff.

CONS

The stress of go live with the transition. Having earlier access to our product prior to go-live date might have helped to have some layout changes adjusted before clinical use.

Having an EMR that is progressive and listens to its clients is refreshing

Overall, we have been surprised with how quick Spry is to implement or change things that we request. Working with them to make the EMR something that works for us has been helpful and we are looking forward to even more features coming up.

PROS

I really like that Spry listens to it's clients and makes changes based on what works in the clinical setting. We have had a great experience with changes being made that improve our clinician and patient experience and also increase efficiency. The transparency with billing and other key metrics has been really helpful in making decisions as a clinic owner.

CONS

Spry is still improving and working on weeding out the bugs in the system. We knew this going in, and it hasn't been a barrier to us using the system or enjoying the system. With a constantly evolving product, this is expected.

Reasons for switching to SPRY

WebPT was not very responsive to us wanting to make changes or improve on this. Since we are a smaller clinic, we felt like we were not being listened to. It was also very bloated and we didn't need most of what it had to offer.

Game changing EMR that has delivered a comprehensive practice management suite for our clinics.

There was a tremendous need for efficiency within this space and SPRY has found the gaps and is working to correct them. There was too much time spent on paper trails and back and forth between insurance verifications, autorizations, responding to rejections/denials from front office. SPRY has worked at making these processes more effective and efficien thru the digital space. From the owner side, we are quickly able to check real time data and see where our claims are and what our clinics overall health looks like. We are getting our reimbursements quicker and noticing an improved cash flow as a result of their processes.

PROS

Integration of all apects of practice management including EMR/Billing/HEP. We have noticed in increased productivity, efficiency, and an improved cash flow with the use of Spry. Our claims are being processed quicker and our reimbursments have improved. The system has allowed us to better track denials/rejections/and incomplete data allowing us to better monitor our clinics real time data. We were able to easily implement the system into our clinics with no lag and it has been tremendously use friendly.

CONS

The EMR is still ironing out its kinks and we are eagaly awating some more features from the AI component.

We were not utilizing the system due to higher costs and inability of the product to adapt with our clinics needs.

Great alternative to the legacy EMR

My overall experience has been very positive. The customer support from [sensitive content hidden] has been amazing, and the platform reflects my requests for personalization. They continue to make changes that make the user interface and medical records completion more efficient. Additionally, the billing side of the EMR is easy to access and understand form my front desk.

PROS

The software is customizable, something that is not available on other platforms. The best aspect of SPRY, by far, is the customer support. I have never experienced an onboarding group willing to make adjustments, fix issues, and take our requests under advisement. Not only does the SPRY group do this, they do it in real time and do not stop after the initial implementation.

CONS

The platform is new, so they are still working out some issues and adding options that are already included with other EMR. The billing side is well integrated, but they have difficulty with any insurance or patient that requests paper billings as opposed to electronic (at least in the continental USA). That being said, they implement updates quickly and with noticeable improvements.

Initially because of cost - WebPT has gotten to expensive for our small clinic. Once I began talking to the sales team at SPRY I wanted to switch for the software itself.

Spry for PT

I have had a great experience with Spry thus far. Has made things more seemless and easier with blending scheduling and documentation as well as with insurance benefits verification. Patients love the scheduling system sending out emails automatically to reduce missed visits.

PROS

I like how it automatically saves work so less need to restart work. Also blends scheduling and documentation seamlessly into 1 platform.

CONS

Can be slow to load objective measures sometimes and clicking between them closes other boxes which can slow down charting a bit.
