Great Auditing Software
My experience with MDAE has been great! The software is intuitive with many resources for auditors to audit and multiple data to report on for management. The employees at MDAE are phenomenal. Everyone I have interacted with at MDaudit has listened, troubleshot, assisted with new features, trained and educated, and replied promptly to all questions and concerns I have sent their way. They are absolutely wonderful to work with!
PROSBeing able to easily run your own reports rather than go through a third party for data has been a time saver. There are many tools within the program that helps auditors get through audits quickly while assuring quality. Tools like the Risk Area Worksheets, which ensure criteria set up by regulatory guidelines are reviewed. The Tasks tool is great to keep an audit on task. Tasks remind the auditor of checkpoints during the audit process. What I like the most about MDaudit though, is how the company listens to its customers. Customers are encouraged to provide feedback about the software. Not only does MDAE listen to suggestions, but they often will implement the feedback in the next system update. It can be exciting to watch for system update alerts to see new and exciting enhancements coming through!
CONSThe thing I liked least about MDaudit is the implementation. It's a lot of information and a lot of functionality to grasp at first. I've been a user of MDAE for three years and I've seen a lot of growth at MDaudit. Although implementation was difficult for our group in the beginning, MDaudit has since created a video LEARN environment, training sessions, and a user-friendly self-service help section. I'm sure if these services were available in early 2020....and if there wasn't a worldwide pandemic... our group's implementation of MDAE would have been a little less overwhelming.

Professional Fee Compliance Department Experience with MDaudit Enterprise
I have a small team of documentation auditors, and MDaudit Enterprise has been helpful in determining the most high risk areas to focus our auditing efforts. It's also been valuable for the monitoring component of our compliance program to have real time claim and remit data available to our department without needing to go to our IT dept, etc. to request data.
PROSCustomer support is excellent. Always responsive and helpful, and they do a great job of taking customer feedback and using it to improve the product. They know the learning curve is a bit steep for some aspects of the software, so they offer thorough training, including live sessions where users can get hands-on help.
CONSMy only complaint about MDaudit would be the standard "out of the box" audit reports. They are fine for communicating audit results to coders/coding management, but they are outdated-looking and don't include any visual charts or a clear "roll up" of data for an executive overview, which is increasingly out of place with the rest of MDaudit's reporting offerings. I believe improvements are in the works, but it is disappointing that this was on the backburner for many years.

Positive past relationship with Hayes/MDaudit. Extensive demos and trial period as a beta site. Functionality best met our needs.

TUKHS Depends on MDaudit Enterprise
It was so easy to get our MDaudit Enterprise built and deployed to staff. Training was very efficient and support was readily available throughout the build and implementation process. Any time we have had an issue, we simple email the support team and they get back to us very quickly, usually resolving the issue before the work day is complete.
PROSMDAudit Enterprise makes audit scheduling and creation a simple process. The actual audit workflow is simple and efficient allowing auditors to complete more audits than they could in the past. It has truly made our department more efficient and able to meet other demands for our time.
CONSI would like to see more reporting and trending for Diagnosis codes, but otherwise there really isn't anything i dislike about the product.

We chose to move from the MD Audit server based product to the new cloud based product as we were comfortable with the MD Audit team and products. we were looking to improve and expand our audit program and the Enterprise product was the perfect solution for us.

Highly Recommend MDaudit Enterprise
Hayes Management does a tremendous job at listening to their customers. They ensure your concerns are address and value the relationship with their customers. They appreciate honest feedback and their Customer Success team ensures you receive continued support.
PROSThe MDaudit Enterprise tool is very user friendly and is a terrific all in one tool that houses the claims and denials data for the organization. The product is web based, so there is very little to no downtime.
CONSThe team at Hayes does a terrific job of listening to the end users of the product and enhancement requests are well received by the team. There is truly nothing we do not like about the tool!

Our organization closely followed the development of MDaudit Enterprise for the years we were utilizing the Professional product. When the time was right, we switched to this web based product, MDaudit Enterprise, without hesitation.

MDAE Review
Customer service has been excellent in my interactions and needs.
PROSBeing a web based product, it is very user friendly and so many features are customizable, which is so important.
CONSWhile it's so nice that Risk Area Worksheets are so customizable, the build process can seem to feel overwhelming. The challenge for me seems to be with ensuring to attach the correct finding and the findings being limited to categories they are attached to. As we get into risk based auditing, I could see how it would would be beneficial to be able to attach/assign a particular risk to an individual.

MD Audit customer service is off the charts. Everyone is so intent in helping you solve a business solution. They listen to what is being said and deliver. The folks at MDAudit are literally the best vendor I have ever worked with.
PROSWe have the total packages and use them all in compliance (auditing, Rev cycle, denials management)We are able to track and trend in all areas. We are able to look at our financial impact. Risk management is important and this allows us to look at areas for auditing and training. I use all the features in Compliance and we work with Operations and Physician leadership to educate and decrease risk in turn it decreases denials and over payments.
CONSWhat is difficult in the pin boards and adhoc reporrts there are certain fields that are not available and there is a limitation with so many fields that can be pulled on a report. The software cannot run reports automatically and have them sent via emails to selected individuals

MD Audit has a software and continues to offer new features. They are ahead of the curve.The system allowed us to meet our goals and decrease denials/risk etc. Dashboards are fantastic

MDaudit Review
Over all my experience has been very good. Customer support is excellent!
PROSMy favorite function of MDaudit is the record keeping and ease to filter so that I can quickly see when a provider or risk has been audited and the outcome. MDaudit has been evolving and is a better product today than it was last year.
CONSMy only issue has been implementation of add ons. Some of this had to do with lack of IT resources on our end.

Wonderful support
Our experience with MD Audit has been wonderful since day 1. We work very closely with our MD Audit partners to improve efficiencies in our compliance work and I appreciate their collaborative approach to helping us!
PROSI do not use this software daily but I would say that I like the reporting capabilities the most! We use the reports in various ways to communicate risk and audit findings to leadership and clinical providers.
CONSI don't have any comment for this. We appreciate all services provided at this point.
