We gave it a try but doubt that we will continue beyond our contract

They are a great company to work with. They are very talented and put forth a good product. They produced great videos for our video viewbook that allowed us to show campus culture in a new way. Only through a paid advertisement campaign, we have been able to get a decent amount of traffic to our page but the bounce rate tends to be high. As we track conversion on Student Bridge and how the progress through the funnel, we have only been able to attribute a handful of applicants to the platform. Our hope was that this would be a good lead generation platform but it would be better utilized within the recruitment funnel.

PROS

It takes the virtual campus tour a bit further than a google maps walkthrough style tour. It has been important while our on campus visits have been limited by COVID. We can showcase videos that show the culture of campus in the context of the physical campus rather than just providing a campus only view.

CONS

Outside of COVID, it is hard to see what benefit a virtual tour will provide us. We have had a difficult time attracting traffic to the platform and are only successful with paid advertisements. Even within that advertising traffic, our bounce rate is unacceptably high.
