Best Veterinary Record Keeping Software Out There
Overall I love Day Smart and will continue to use it as my main and only software for records and appointments.
PROSI love the ease of access and everything is straightforward and easy to edit. I love the auto-save features when writing records and the ease of scheduling. I also like that I dont have to use all features of the platform for it to function well.
CONSI wish there were a better way to book two patients for the same client for the same appointment. I also wish that two-way texting was an automatic feature and that it was added to the monthly cost at a lower amount. Currently, the add-on feature is as expensive as the monthly fee, so you are paying twice. Support can take some time to get back to you but they do provide good feedback and instructions on inquires. I wish there was an integration with Square invoicing for records and I hope they start billing in Canadian dollars to the Canadian users.

New user to DaySmart
It’s been great, I wish customer service was more available especially in the beginning. Sometimes I was on hold for 15 plus minutes which is difficult when we had a problem that we needed addressed right away. But the software itself is well deigned and easy to use . My staff and I picked it up quickly compared to the last system we used.
PROSThe ease of use compared to our last system. Everything seems logical so it was much faster to learn and set up
CONSThe prescription print is very limited and very small. Difficult to read for senior eyes.

Navetor was difficult to use and wouldn’t save information automatically so we lost a lot of data on a regular basis. It also didn’t like multiple people in the patient file at the same time and didn’t always function well on our laptops.

Overpriced with critical errors in statement / invoice reconciliation, text reminders, and inventory
Daysmart would be wonderful if it worked in all the areas we need. It doesn't and we don't know why. Sad, because if it did work it would be an amazing program.
PROSOnline access, no hardware to manage on our end except the tablet or laptop or phone.
CONSNot phone friendly at all, reminders by text are a huge fail and daysmart says we have to report each error for any correction to this problem, we don't have time to do this. Statement amounts don't match invoice totals for the period selected in some cases. Again each error must be reported and that's something we don't have time to do. It will be easier for us to find another solution more reliable. Invoices are redundant, not necessary and cause problems. Inventory numbers are not accurate and no matter how hard we try they end up off for reasons that we don't understand. This may not be a problem with the software as much as a a lack of understanding on our part as the user with inventory numbers being off. However, if it is too difficult to understand then maybe a simpler solution is the answer.

Go from hosting our own server to having it online and paying someone else to host plus went from paper practice to paperless practice.

DaySmart Review
We're fairly new -- were previously with Vetter which changed to DaySmart. We used Vetter for around 4 years and at a prior clinic. So far, we've been happy with DaySmart.
PROSIt is very easy to use and logical for beginners and "veterans" alike

Great for solo practitioners
Very positive and overall above satisfactory experience.
PROSVery easy-to-use and intuitive program that is fantastic for mobile/solo vets, and could easily accommodate whole hospitals!
CONSI did enjoy the tiered pricing structure for smaller businesses (fewer than 100 clients), so I was sad to see that go.
