As far as the manufacturing side IQMS does a good job. It is when you get outside the manufacturing that you run into issues. The HR and reporting functions are not nearly as robust as other software that I have used.

Pros

Pro -IQMS is a good manufacturing system. The labeling functionality is very good and helps support tracing the origins of all the parts we manufacture.

Cons

Con- Once you leave the manufacturing area, performance and customer service for this area really drops off. One of the weaker HR, payroll, training and reporting systems I have ever worked with.

We have been using IQMS for almost an year now. It has been great for creating a central source of all of our needs.

Pros

Convenient: One source solution with TONS of features.
Robust: Created for manufacturing and covers more than all our needs as an injection molding company.
Good support. Known issues constantly addressed. GREAT community support available.

Cons

Expensive. High initial cost (for a small company), annual support and maintenance costs, additional training costs
Complex. In order to be so encompassing the software can be difficult to understand initially. We are constantly learning more about what it has to offer and how it can be best utilized for our needs.

We are a mid size assembly company that chose IQMS after a long selection process. I can't review a whole lot right now because we are still in the build process and have a go live date in March.

Pros

Navigation in the software is by far superior to most of what I have seen before. The way you can jump between modules and drill down are major time savers for us.

Cons

We have ran into quite a few software bugs. The set up of the system is a very very long process much longer then we anticipated. We were told the Time and Attendance module would work for us and now we have figured out that is not true.

Advice to Others

I would recommend IQMS as of right now. It seems like a stable platform and very user friendly. They have awesome support between the myIQMS site and live tech reps it is great to know they are looking out for you.

Our ability to accurately tie project planning, track costs, manage part quality data, gauge calibration, customer inventory, shipping management, and document control together. We are a complex engineered aluminum parts manufacturer that does not fit the mold of a typical manufacturer. IQMS has allowed us to better control the uniqueness of our custom part manufacturing.

Likes Least

There are a couple modules that we would like to add to our IQMS software for better integration of data, namely the Human Resource, Training, and Preventive Maintenance Modules, however they are not yet robust enough to replace our existing software. We knew this when we purchased IQMS, so there was no expectation at the time of implementation.

Recommendations

Evaluate your unique needs and how it will apply in IQMS. Discuss customization and unique utilization with IQMS representatives.

The ease of use is this products best feature. It is very intuitive but if you are struggling there is always a help file at your finger tips. This product is also very robust and there is a way to accomplish every business need through a variety of ways. Another handy feature is that you can jump to different areas within the current screen you are looking at. This saves time and allows quick analysis and decisions. I also truly appreciate the way the vendor interacts with their customers. They have many levels of support and training and they will help solve any business need. They also react to any changes the customer may want to see. As you can see I gave it a 10 and I am not one to usually hand out a top grade like that easily.

Likes Least

I have no downsides to IQMS that come to mind. The only thing I can say is that because this product is such a great system they have grown leaps and bounds so there is more of a process to have changes made or to receive support then there was in the past.

Recommendations

I have worked with a few ERP systems. This is hands down the best system I have used. However, when evaluating I would speak to other customers to get their feedback on the system and watch a few of the training videos to see if it is a fit.

EnterpriseIQ is very functional and provides most all of the data desired to make informed decisions to make our business more profitable. IQMS encourages and is very responsive to customer suggestions to enhance the software. Personable, engaging employees are truly interested in supporting our business.

Likes Least

Annual Maintenance Contract cost has increased over the years, so has IQMS Support Services. Would have liked Maintenance Contract percentage to remain constant from year of implementation; increasing only when new modules or user licenses are purchased.

Recommendations

Focus on what EnterpriseIQ capability and functionality can do for your company instead of how to fit the software into your current business processes (which it typically can). Inefficient business processes remain as such unless you explore and discover how to accomplish the same objective with EnterpriseIQ. We've found it to be a completely different (and shorter) path more often than not.

What I like best about the IQMS software and the vendor is all of the resources it provides. The help files within the software are very well done. They also have a portal that users can access that includes many training videos, user discussion board, and a place to submit software enhancement requests.

The only negative about IQMS that comes to mind is the amount of enhancements that are made. As the client base has grown they have done a fantastic job keeping up with the customers needs.

I would recommend asking for reference customers. Our company is a seasoned user of the software and we get many requests to talk to potential customers.

I have been using IQMS for about 6 years now. I love the extensibility of the software. Most ERP systems have the ability to be a good fit for most of your business. The real key to success is how well they allow you to tweak and extend the software to meet your unique business requirements. IQMS excels at this. With user defined forms and reports, customizable alerts to monitor system changes, and change tracking to the field level, it provides the tools I need to handle our specific use cases.

I am also very pleased with support provided. IQMS does a great job of monitoring user needs and working to improve the software. There have been a variety of new features added over the years that provide us with better ways to manager our business. Their technical support staff is also very good. They are knowledgeable and thorough when working to resolve whatever issues might arise.

Likes Least

Enterprise IQ was initially designed for the plastics industry. Over the years, IQMS has worked hard to add additional features for non-plastics industries, but we still run into occasions where this initial usage interferes with the way we look at manufacturing. We build very complex BOMs (hundreds of parts in dozens of sub-assemblies across up to 5 or 6 levels), and we struggle at times to manage these complex BOMs.

Fortunately, the extensibility allows us to create some additional tools to fill in the gaps.

Recommendations

IQMS has many different features and works hard to link many parts of the software together to allow for "single point of data entry". Because of this, it is important to understand how all the pieces work together and how your organization will want to use these features. Have a good understanding of how you want to use the software so that as you implement the various areas, you are building towards future feature implementation.

My likes is a very long list. EnterpriseIQ is extremely robust and integrated. We use it for the vast majority of our business functions, and it has allowed us to decommission many of our previous redundant spreadsheets and databases. It is very user-friendly with a great user interface that is consistent throughout the modules. The system is very reliable and, from an admin standpoint, easy to maintain and upgrade. IQMS is continually improving the software. They stay very in tune with their customer base and design/modify the software to meet customer needs and expectations. Customer/tech support is top notch, and their personnel in general are great people.

Likes Least

There is really nothing of consequence that I don't like about the vendor. IQMS is professional, effective, and reliable. They hold premier vendor status with New Berlin Plastics. There are a few minor issues and annoyances with the software, but considering the scope of what EnterpriseIQ does for our organization, it would be impossible to deliver perfection, and the issues are minor and do not impact our ability to run our business. There are only a couple of modules (Time/Attendance and Quoting) that do not work for us. I'm not saying that they are bad; they just don't work in a way that fits our business model. They likely work just fine for others.

Recommendations

Have IQMS and other vendors you are considering put you in touch with knowledgeable users who will spend some time with you to discuss their daily experience with the software. Explain your business to them, and ask for their input as to how they feel the software would perform in your environment.

Unlike other ERPs that are accounting systems that try to support production, IQMS was created with the production floor in mind. Combine that with a dedicated support team that really wants to help, and you got a winning combination

They are growing fast and are having a hard time keeping up with the need for support. It used to be that when you called, 9 out of 10 times, someone would pick up the phone and assist you immediately. Now its more like 3 out of 10 times, although they do respond within 24 hours.

I would have to say that the support and resources that IQMS offers is top notch. I can usually figure out the solution to a problem just by looking at the help files, watching a training video, or going out to MYIQMS and looking on the discussion board. After working with JD Edwards, QAD and Epicor at other companies, it is refreshing to be back with IQMS. In my role I work with all departments to improve processes and better utilize ERP.

Of all the systems mentioned IQMS is by far the most visual with color coding throughout. At a glance you can see which releases have shipped, are due, or are late. The scheduling gantt chart highlights which work orders are going to be late, won't have material on time, or need expediting. Real-time production monitoring shows visually what machines are running slow, fast or down.

It is also highly productive. You can right-click on any record to jump to all sorts of related information. The IQ Alert system is an incredible tool that allows you to manage any process by exception. You set it up to look for any problematic situation, and email somebody when a problem is found. For example: uncoded downtime, forgetting to enter certain data fields, raw materials overdue by X days, something moved into a hold area, calibrations coming due, etc. It can also auto-email reports on a schedule, process files, perform backups, clean up files, etc.

Most importantly, their support is far and above every other ERP company I've worked with. Usually all it takes is a phone call. They answer your call and connect you directly to the person that will resolve it. No entering tickets or getting bounced around. Usually, our issue is resolved before we hang up. If not, they do a great job with followup. No system is perfect, but having great support is critical in a manufacturing environment.

I highly recommend IQMS to anyone seeking and ERP system for manufacturing. While forcing conforminty, it is still highly adaptable. When researching ERP vendors, IQMS easily stood above the other's we looked at with the level of integration provided

Pros

We currently use Enterprise IQ for Manufacturing (Inventory Control, Production, WMS), EDI, Accounting and are in the process of bring over our Quality Systems and Maintenance.

Enterprise IQ is almost wholly integrated. Switching to EIQ, we replaces at least 6 different applications if not more.

With the level of integration, it is easy for end users to pick up new modules as the interface is the same throughout the software.

One of the best aspects about IQMS is there willingness to take feedback from their customers. If there is a feature missing, or not quite up to par, they will almost certainly remedy it.

Cons

There are only one areas i could find issues with.
While the support staff is very good and respond timely, they are not availble after hours or on weekends.

We run 25x5 and need to do our upgrades and maintenace on the weekend. Also, being in the Eastern Time Zone, if i have an issue early in the morning, support doesn't arrive for a few hours.

I believe IQMS is a very good system. Yes, we have struggled during our implementation process, but we want to have everything correct the first time. As the lead of the implementation team, we are anxious to learn/implement as much of the system as we have seen the power and benefits that IQ has vs. our previous ERP system. From an accounting perspective, I don't have any issues. If you are in the injection molding business, this is the system for you! They can "talk the talk" and "walk the walk". IQMS is still small enough and is willing to listen to your wants and needs! For example, I've ran across some "weird" options in their screens - when I asked "why is that like that" - the response usually was "a customer requested that option"!

Pros

- Help Desk - available 12 hrs. a day M-F
- After a call, the Help Desk will usually follow up with you the following day to ensure everything is working properly
- Able to "jump" from screen-to-screen within the system without having to back out of an area
- Understands and knows injection molding
- We really like the RealTime monitoring system - we are able to know what presses are running and if they are fast or slow at the glance of a screen
- They LISTEN to their customers wants and needs

Cons

- They are growing so fast that they were not able to provide an implementer on-site when we went live on 1/1/12 (all were previously booked)
- At this point, a little more "IT intensive" than we were first led to believe (we do not have an IT person on staff), but again, they are more than willing to assist

It fits our needs for the most part as it grows, all the customization we have done is now somewhat standard.

Pros

Many parts or administration seem to be opposite of windows administration such as groups and roles. Being an MCSE since 1996 and living and breathing the Microsoft way there has been a few adjustment. I would like to see a more ¿¿¿Quickbooks-ish¿¿¿ user screens, though I do think it is rather easy to use.

Cons

We have had the system for so long they have had some many hands in the cookie jar and made the system so custom, for me coming in as a new admin doing all jobs of the IT/IS dept its rather hard without notes on how to add a report, or change rights or the full understanding of EDI. I have heard more than one ¿¿¿did you take the EDI course¿¿¿ umm yea and then I didn¿¿¿t use EDI for 6 months. A lot of admin's do it all, Cisco, windows, switching, IQ, AD, DNS, DHCP and so on. We don¿¿¿t only support one discipline so it¿¿¿s not easy to remember how the admin before customized IQ and that tech support can¿¿¿t always help.

IQ is an excellent system. I would recommend it to any Injection molder or any customer who is looking for a solid ERP system.

Pros

IQ is an excellent ERP system. We are a custom plastic injection molder and the system has so many features that benefit our industry.
The system is feature rich and meets the majority of our needs. We are extensively using Inventory Control, BOM's, Time and Attendance, RT Machine Monitoring, Scheduling and the accounting functions. We have recently implemented Project Manager to track our tooling projects.
With the Quality Documents feature and the Documents features in all of the modules, we have begun the process of going "paperless." Documents are now available to everyone at the click of a mouse instead of searching in a myriad of files.
We are very happy with IQ. The support has been great. We have definitely seen a vast improvement in our planning and scheduling capabilities.

Cons

Scheduling can be a little challenging. The system assumes that you will run all presses all the time. This can cause some confusion and this is why we do not auto-load the schedule. But, the schedule has helped us. In the past, it would take us four hours every morning just to schedule the next twenty-four hours out. Now, everything is on the screen and we can see at a glance where we need to make changes.

IQMS is an excellent system for manufacturers of plastic products. We investigated a number of different ERP systems before deciding on IQMS and couldn't be happier with the results.

Pros

IQMS is an outstanding ERP system for plastics manufacturers. IQMS replaced multiple independent systems in our organization including MRP, real time, reporting, asset management, preventative maintenance, and more. With a limited IT staff, it was very difficult to manage and maintain our systems until replacing it all with IQMS.

Our Controller is able easily to provide up to date financials to our management staff using spreadsheet server.

Because IQMS is so intuitive, it is has been made available to most everyone in our organization.

The support staff at is outstanding to work with. Additionally we couldn't have been any happier with our implementation specialist, Carlos Doria. Much of our success is directly attributed to Carlos' support during the implementation process.

Cons

- Global eplant settings do not work well when two eplants are in very different industries.
- The Outsource Central module may be the only module that has not met our expectations, particularly regarding how inventory transactions are handled.
- Not perfect, but what software is?

IQMS seems to have all of the features we would want for a small/medium business. It has a great deal of flexibility, without an overabundance of complexity. The system is definately faster than the other solutions we looked at, which was one of our deciding points. Overall we are also pleased with the support we have received and their ability to regualrly implement fixes and improvements.

Pros

We implemented IQMS 18 months ago and are generally pleased with the results. We have found a way to meet virtually every goal we had and even some we did not. The person that helped us thru implentation was very knowledgeable and really worked with us to make sure we got up and running. The customer support was readily available and persistent in working thru to a solution.

Cons

While there are literally 1000's of pre-written reports available, we found very few that were of any real use to us as is. We eventually had to hire a report writer to customize virtually every report to meet our needs. In their defense, IQMS warned us of this prior to implementation, but we just expected the stock reports to be more useful and accurate. We used almost all stock reports in our prior ERP system
While the customer support was available and persistent thruout implementation, we were surprised at the lack of direct knowledge of the system. Virtually every question required research and testing. I believe a lot of this was due to our use of the assembly1 BOMS, but we have found this to be true even of the accounting questions as well.
We also found a number of features withint th esystem that appeared to be implemented to meet a specific need for a customer that was not really usable by us, such as the freight cost calculation system.

My product ratings are all incomplete at the moment, only because my company has not formally began to use IQMS. Our limited experience up to this point is all positive.

Pros

My company is in the infancy stages of implementing IQMS. We just recently (June 2012) purchased the sytstem after an extensive search comparing IQMS to about 5-6 other ERP systems. The deciding factor in our decision to move forward with IQMS was its ability to accommodate engineering, scheduling, accounting, quality, SPC, etc,,, all under one platform whereas other software companies offered solutions to our needs but had to bring in third party vendors and "link" them with the database.

We look forward to a smooth and successful implementation.

Cons

As of the moment, because we are not using IQMS, there are no negative comments regarding our experience with this software.

Our company has been using the system for many years and overall we are very happy. Although upgrades(with any system) can be painful we know that we have them supporting us every step of the way. We highly recommend IQMS as your ERP solution.

Pros

IQMS has many pros. At the top of the list is the top notch customer service. They are always very polite and helpful. Everyone from the top down is very accommodating and always willing to help us find a solution if the system cannot provide what we need. Another pro are the tools provided to the users. The help files are excellent and very easy to use. In addition to those there are training videos, free webinars every month, and discussion boards. If you still need additional information the Internet Based Training sessions are wonderful and reasonably priced. They are a company who truly listens to their customers.

Cons

Enterprise IQ is very robust and can be a bit overwhelming to new users. Once they learn how to access the tools provided they are very pleased with everything the system has to offer.
