eVetPractice is a cloud-based veterinary practice management system featuring electronic medical records (EMR) management, appointment scheduling and communication tools for veterinarians.
Features include document storage, test history and lab forms. A pet owner portal allows clients to access personal information, payment history, account balances and appointments. Users can request appointments on mobile and desktop devices. The practitioner dashboard provides a configurable appointments calendar, lists of daily appointments and surgeries, along with medical records.
Reports can be run that include daily or weekly billing, inventory, billable items and controlled substance logs. Users can create long-term wellness plans that include multiple appointments. The software can integrate with ANTECH diagnostics technology and IDEXX reference labs for test code population, electronic order submission and retrieval of test results.
The software is available on a monthly subscription basis.

Couldn't wait to get away from the 1990's server headaches and onto the cloud...but I was nervous. I researched and demo'd my brains out...couldn't find anything I liked until I tripped across eVetpractice. We Demo'd it for a month then took the plunge. There are pro's and con's to everything so there a few things eVet can't do that the old system could do...but I don't miss them. The pro's FAR OUTWEIGH the cons. It is wicked fast, makes being paperless a delight instead of a mystery. SUPER easy to use and learn...one of my staff members was introduced to it, used it for 10 minutes and announced, " It's the Facebook of vet software."
She is right.
It's not perfect but I am delighted for the price and service. We bought another clinic 6 months later and the first thing we did was move them from Infinity to eVet.
Just get yourself a robust internet provider and do it. We use travel sheets, a ScanSnap ix500 scanner, (a must!), and a couple of Dymo labelwriters. Prepare yourself to even need less staff.
Been using for over a year now and it's one of the best moves we have made in years for our business and our medicine.

Can't even brag enough about EVetPractice for running a veterinary practice smoothly. The developers are top notch. Always available and responsive via their help chat box in the lower right corner. They make upgrades easily. The integrations, like VPR Cloud Formulary, Demand Force client communications, laboratory integration, email within the system- just cuts tasks down to a minimum. We use the anesthetic monitoring sheet, quick templates for histories and exams and iPads & laptops in our rooms. Best part as the practice manager - I can easily add purchase orders, schedule an appointment for a client or pull practice management reports from home!
Practice Management made easy. The millennial generation jumps right in and learns this program in a snap- click friendly!
And last thing, we had an emergency transition to this software and were up and running in 3 days with full data migration after extracting safely from previous system.

We switched from on-site server software for EMR to cloud-based EMR. This has drastically improved our efficiency and given us other opportunities. If you are 100% paperless, you will lose data during the migration. We consistently lost data across the board. When it was brought to the attention of eVet, they were unable to retrieve the lost data. It's a very imperfect system. Fortunately for us, we have always printed paper copies of our records as a backup so we can still access our patients's medical records.

The program designers listen to feedback and try to make the suggested changes. Keeping the medical records in the cloud makes accessing patient files very easy. Since making the transition about a month ago, things have gone pretty smoothly. The support staff has been great and my employees love the live chat feature to get support right on the spot. When we've run into a snag or had suggestions for improvement, they are addressed very quickly!
Configurability, responsiveness of development team, support
Can be a little intimidating for the less tech-savvy user until they get familiar with the program. Being cloud based, there is sometimes a little lag while a page loads. Its not at all bad, but staff used to an in-house, server or locally hosted program can perceive the cloud-based nature to be a bit "laggy." If they avoid trying to click 30 times in the 2 seconds they are waiting on something to load, that helps too :)

Not only is the program itself incredible- online, cloud based, accessible from anywhere and with so many options available but the support is unreal. These guys will literally do everything they can to help every single customer. The software has made my practice so easy to run, saved me tons of money and is so dependable. The customer support is available with a live chat anytime you are having an issue and they bent over backwards for me to help me include French in the program and they would do the same for any clinic. Going paperless has been one of my biggest fears and something I never believed I would ever do with my practice. I couldn't perceive how entering information into a computer for a patient's medical record could ever replicate the feel of having a physical chart in hand or even be able to effectively provide me with that information in the same way. I am a doctor who thoroughly records every little detail about the patient. Evetpractice has totally changed my mindset and turned me into a believer. Not only has it given me everything I need to effectively keep records and notations, it has provided me with a means to do even more than before with my charts and streamlined it all in such a way that is much more convenient and time efficient. All of our X-ray's, blood work, photos, etc... go straight into the patients record and can be easily pulled up for referral from anywhere that has internet access. The evet tech support is patient and goes out of their way to make things work. I had some concerns during the transition but Mel and the team were always there ready to help. There were a few migration issues that arose, i.e. discounts not moved over from the old software, inactivated clients were hidden in the new software and a few other small things; but, all in all went very smoothly especially considering we have a 10,000 client base that were moved over from a dated system. There are some things I would like to see changed and made more convenient in order to see results - fecals and OHW test being the main two. Overall the program is extremely user friendly and receives my highest recommendation.

I can check the schedule, run reports, enter charges, look up client info and anything I would normally have to do at the office from anywhere, and from any device that has internet access. I love being able to check my schedule while I'm out at lunch or off for the day right from my cell phone. I can finish typing up my charts from home at night. Also, it allows you to look up client and patient info when you have an emergency call at night. The program itself is easier to navigate than some of the other programs out there. The program is also customizable. I have not found anything negative about the program, so no cons to list. Price is also reasonable and customer service is above and beyond.

Pros: Easy to customize the templates and auto-functions of the software. Web based program makes accessing the system easy from any internet connection. Customer service is amazing. Our rep is a member of our clinic team now and tries to make the software really work for our individual needs. The software is constantly developing and the company really listens to the feedback on how to improve it!
Cons: No mobile app...yet. Mild limitations in software capabilities but we are hopeful that the company will overcome that in time. For us, most of the "cons" are linked to us not fully accessing all the potential in program, not in the program itself.

My practice is a food animal ambulatory practice. Although EVP was not created for my type of practice, I have found that it is easily adaptable to suite my needs.

We have adapted to a new software quite well. eVet has done so much to help us change to their software so that it fit what we were used to and it works for us well. It has pros and cons- some they can help with and some they cannot, but we deal with them. They are very willing to hear our concerns and seem to work hard to make changes in the system that will help all users. No software is perfect, but this has been excellent for us and I would certainly recommend it. Customer service and having 24 hour help and someone to talk to live 9-5 at no extra cost is above and beyond. That makes it worth it right there! They are so nice and helpful and you never feel as if you are a burden asking for help. Nothing beats this customer service. NOTHING.
