I like the desktop version how ever due to the cost being so high for something you no longer own I had to go down to the online version. By doing that though the platform isn’t the same as the desktop version so I’m not a fan of it. Example for adding inventory I could just punch in the number of the product from a supplier and it pops up which is different in the online version. It was also harder to transfer files from one program to the other , I couldn’t transfer customers and their invoices and the same went for suppliers . I find it a better program than quickbooks . Easy to enter and bill customers as well as entering suppliers and inventory. #### Cons I don’t like the fact that there is no longer a purchase version. When business is slow and you still need it to run the business they have a right to cut your business off when you miss a payment. It’s also harder to make the monthly payment if you miss one . I’m now linked to a strictly cheaper online service but I do not like the way it’s set up the same way as the desktop version, I actual hate it but need something. It is quick and easy to enter and record payment of bills, sales invoices, and create journal entries. #### Cons There are some unresolved errors and issues that have been around for a while. This is unacceptable for a paid (subscription based) service. There is a cheque payment outstanding for years now. Our payroll addon is not functioning properly; you are unable to post it to the accounting side, and the workaround given by the Sage team is a manual workaround journal entry. We expect more. Financial reporting is also lacking. The platform is not very intuitive and can be difficult to navigate, especially for clients who are not familiar with accounting software. Payroll not being built into the system adds unnecessary complexity and results in additional costs, making workflows less efficient. The reconciliation process could be significantly improved, and both invoicing and expense tracking lack the level of efficiency and automation that is now standard in many competing tools. While Sage does market AI capabilities, they are not meaningfully integrated into the core user experience of Sage Business Cloud Accounting. The financial reporting is adequate and gets the job done; however, it feels limited when compared to other platforms like QuickBooks Online. The range of reporting options and the level of customization available there allow users to tailor reports far more effectively and extract more meaningful insights. #### Cons Due to limited integrations, I eventually transitioned most of my clients from Sage Business Cloud Accounting to QuickBooks Online. Frequent updates always make Sage better, and more simple to use. Payroll through sage is also very easy, and filing T4's at the end of the year is very efficient.
