UI is pretty simple and good as well. While taking backup is a little bit tough but overall it's a very good product for code management.

Little tough to integrate from command prompt on windows or mac. I can't find any other defects or bugs in this software.

A whole lot of great finds to fit every budget. Great when you are looking for something to help in a pinch.

From the get go, GitLab has been amazing to work with. It was a breeze to integrate their API, too.

I do have some complaints about it. I hope that newer versions will make my complaints obsolete.

GitHub is a tool that helps you in your day to day and allows you to quickly advance in your work, it is very complete and you can find within it all kinds of things that can help you.

I would say that it is not easy to upgrade or migrate to a new server. If any function fails, the rest usually fail.

It is best secure platform to make my code go there, and it is also best in pushing and pulling my code.

It is one of the best and rapid solution to share code in team and preserve it. It provides all the options to pull and push a code and it is best in terms of commits.

It's superb we can recommend for anyone. If our commit has some conflict it shows how to resolve that step by step.

Sometimes when I rebase it can create problems in graph.

It is available in both community version and Enterprise version. Version control and code review made easy with gitlab.

Some of the directions from the developers are very vague. They forget that not everyone using the platform isn't a technician genius.

My only and “first” code versioning program ever. I really recommend it over any other solution out there, the features  are top and the repositories and GUI just look so professional and awesome.

Easy to use with a modern interface. Gitlab enterprise is a nice self hosted option with good project control.

There are also a good number of settings that allow you to control options such as how you want to handle merge commits, giving you complete control over your repository.

Merge conflict solver is very confusing. I think GitLab team should come up with different design to solve the conflicts.

I imported around 30 repositories in a few steps so simple and easy. I really love it, I'd been use Github and Bitbucket in the past, and GitLab is much better.

They also have very good slack integration in the gitlab itself which will help the devs to communicate on the platform itself.

Good for organizations where you want to keep for repositories private. It has good features in cheap price.

There are some features missing or not implemented properly in Gitlab + the lack of funding makes it ver hard to expand on Gitlab and use it full time.

Don't forget the issue tracking it's really fun to use and support markdown making it much more awesome. The community edition is really amazing with community support is marvelous.

It is easy to use and it has several advance functionality that can help you to control e improve the quality of your work.

The only thing I experienced is that the lagging of source tree sometimes.

Then I have to force close the app and open again and it is sometimes bother me specially when I'm close to the project deadline.

Overall I have been very happy with it as it's been easy to use and backs up quickly.

Since Sourcetree is under the same owner if Bitbucket which is Atlassian, they are perfectly compatible and they can be easily and seamlessly integrated- Sourcetree is easy to setup and learn.

I'm so bored to remember git commands to interact with my git lab repositories and I forget them also.

I hate commands and what I prefer is interfaces. So I ended up using sourcetree to manage my git repositories.

I can say the most that I like about this software is that it leads to a faster, clean, organized code movement. How the authentic and secure way of protecting your code makes this software amazing.
