10to8 Software


 

10to8 is a cloud-based booking solution for small to large businesses in all industries. It provides users with a customized booking website where clients can schedule appointments, pay for events and services and access existing bookings.

Clients can schedule, cancel and reschedule appointments as needed. Appointments are automatically synched with user calendars, and 10to8 can integrate with Gmail, Outlook, iCal and more. Users can maintain multiple calendars if necessary. Attendees can receive email and text message reminders, and users can store notes, questionnaires and other client data.

Booking buttons and forms can be embedded into existing websites, and users can also access a direct chat feature to talk with clients. Reporting features allow users to track confirmed appointments, unpaid bills and more. 10to8 also provides multi-language support and allows users to customize their dashboard.

Email and phone support are offered. Pricing is per user per month.

Again, we have had great success in retaining our patients and ameliorating missed appointments.

Pros

Working for a nonprofit, we don't have a large patient base. Since there are only two providers, we are able to use the free version of 10to8 for our patient scheduling. It has been so easy to use, makes communicating with patients very easy, and the appointment reminders have helped to retain our caseload with no missed appointments!

Cons

At this time, there are no apparent cons of the 10to8 service. The only thing that I think would make it more successful and helpful, would be to offer a secure phone app that providers and users could use to schedule meetings or appointments or view their schedule when they are away from a computer.

I've used several different types of appointment managers, but this is by far the best. The ability to communicate quickly with people from within the software.

Cons

We finally settled on this software after trying several types of appointment software but this was the clear winner!

Clients being able to book without talking to me. being able to set up different services. Having a reminder for clients so that they are less likely to no show.

Cons

It only gives them set times, for example if I am free from 10am it will only give them 10am as an option then 11am, rather than giving them the option to book at 10.10 or 10.20am etc. Having to check group sessions as they don't seem to stop booking when they are full.

I like that I can customize my booking page with my branding and that it's easy for my clients (and me) to use. I've had lots of positive feedback.

Cons

I wish that I was able to generate better reports for bookkeeping. You can generate an excel file, but you have to do so much work/tweaking for it to become what you want. I also wish that I could customize my booking page to be bilingual.

It makes it easy to charge clients upfront upon booking, and there's no monthly fee.

Pros

It's the first scheduler I've seen that is free monthly AND also allows you to charge for appointments during the booking. It also integrates with my Google Calendar and Zapier.

Cons

It's a bit clunky and not intuitive in the back end. There are core features hidden in submenus and I always forget where to click in order to get to where I need to go.

10to8 is easy to use, I like that I am able to use it on my computer or on the app on my iPhone. I love that the features I need as a small business owner are available in their free offering.

Cons

Occasionally there are strange bugs when I was using the app, which I guess they stopped supporting in January 2017, but I never got the memo. Also, because I am using the free version I am not able to respond to text messages or emails that my clients send when they reply to reminders. This has caused some issues when they are wanting to cancel or reschedule their appointments but they don't contact me using my phone number, as I don't always see that they sent me a message in 10to8.

Pros

I haven't tried everything yet but I've found it relatively easy to use and the few new clients who have used it seem to have found it relatively easy to book through as well.

Cons

There have been a couple of clients who do seem to have struggled to use the booking calendar. I'm not sure why. They may be unused to using something like this.

Easy way to add a consulting schedule into my multi-calendar set up and it takes into account my existing calendars when displaying time when I am available for consultation.

Pros

The interface and usage is easy to navigate and understand. It has basic options to get you started and advanced options that can be turned on as you need them.

Cons

Some of the how to information is a bit buried in the Setting group. The available FAQs could be expanded to cover more situations.

Pros

I love everything this software offers. First, the ability to have my clients go out and schedule appointments keeps me from wasting valuable time playing phone tag. The software can also send reminder texts to you and to your clients. And following the appointments, the software can automatically ask the client to provide a review of his/her experience with you. You can block out any vacation time you plan on taking. You can also prevent clients from making surprise appointments with you by only allowing them to schedule appointments by a certain time away from when they log in. FANTASTIC!!!!

I like the automated messaging function allowing us to save time reminding customers about their appointments.

Cons

Poor integration with google calendars. Little flexibility in the messaging section. Calendar section in the mobile phone app is not user-friendly.

Ease in letting students sign up for multiple types of appointments. Successful and accurate integration with Outlook. No worries that students won't be able to talk with me in person if they need to do so.

Pros

I like that the free version (which is really all I need) includes a high level of functionality, including messaging between me and my students ("clients"). I like that what my students see online is clear and concise, and that I can set up multiple types of appointments. I also LOVE that it successfully integrates with my Outlook calendar, which is a necessity for me. I know if I put an appointment on my Outlook calendar (correctly) it shows up as busy on 10to8.

Cons

I don't really have anything I don't like about the free version. I wish there was a cheaper version between the free and paid, perhaps just a yearly small fee, that would allow me to have a unique site address. Since I would be the one paying for it, I am not really willing to subscribe monthly when the free version does a great job for me.
