Complex Scheduling Powerhouse

It's been wonderful. Pricing was honest and upfront, deployment was simple and we had 30 screens up and running in under a day. Support has been responsive. OptiSigns is a great company to partner with.

PROS

The first feature that attracted me to OptiSigns was the scheduling engine. My organization has some very specific scheduling needs and OptiSigns was the only provider that could meet our needs. We need three sets of content that could rotate on a bi-weekly basis for each content set. So we need to be able to schedule at least six weeks in advance, OptiSigns was the only product that could meet our needs.

CONS

I have yet to find any real flaw with OptiSigns. Perhaps once per year one of our displays may need to be reset and reconnected to the console. Honestly though, that could be a network issue or a client device issue. I can't honeslty say with certainity that OptiSigns is the true source of this once in a blue moon occurence.

Reasons for switching to OptiSigns

My organization has some very specific scheduling needs and OptiSigns was the only provider that could meet our needs. Chrome Sign Builder, while free, was too simple for what we needed.

OptiSigns Review

My experience with OptiSigns has been great. It's easy to manage and work with, and the storage capacity plays an important role. Additionally, the ability to work remotely is a big plus.

PROS

OptiSigns offers a convenient and user-friendly solution for digital signage management. Being able to connect and manage it remotely from various locations adds a lot of flexibility, especially for organization like ours (Non-Profit Catholic Parish). The intuitive interface and straightforward management features make it accessible for users with varying levels of technical expertise. Additionally, the storage capabilities and content enhancement options provide versatility in creating engaging and dynamic displays. Overall, it seems like OptiSigns ticks off all the boxes for an efficient and effective digital signage solution.

CONS

I haven't spent more than 6 months with OptiSigns, which means I haven't used all the features yet. Therefore, I would strongly appreciate having the option to schedule some content instead of manually uploading different content every day for it to appear on the screens.

1.I am not happy with the outcome of this resolution. 2.I will not be giving good comments to all your social media platform about your company. I do understand that there is a cost to customer acquisition on the web, your company will be significant. 3.I would have considered supplemental costs for replacement, which your company is not even offering. If you can’t keep me as a customer for longer period and take a discount on your device, then I am not that important a customer to you. I believe that your competitors will be happy to accept my sales. 4.You will lose me forever + all my friends and network contacts.

OptiScreen: Great features, but watch out for the cost!

Overall, we are very satisfied with OptiScreen. It has fully met our expectations in terms of functionality and ease of use. Despite the high cost, we would recommend it, especially for companies that value a professional and modern presentation. We hope that the cost structure will perhaps be adjusted in the future, especially for the European market.

PROS

We at VOELKER Finance OHG are really enthusiastic about the versatile functions of OptiScreen. The ease of use and flexibility of the system is particularly helpful, allowing us to design our digital displays efficiently and creatively. It fits perfectly with our modern approach and the quality of the display is top notch. The ability to manage everything digitally has also helped us a lot in our day-to-day mobile work.

CONS

The price is a bit of a damper. For a cool and modern company like us, quality is important, but the cost of OptiScreen is quite high. In addition, the shipping costs for the devices to Europe are quite steep, which is unfortunately a disadvantage for us as a company based in the Ore Mountains.

OptiScreen convinced us with its great backend and advanced features. It allows us to work creatively and efficiently, which fits perfectly with our modern and dynamic company. OptiScreen not only allows us to present our content better, but also gives us more control and freedom in design. In short, it opens up new ways for us to communicate our brand and our messages in an appealing and effective way.

Best Choice for Choice

I have no complaints. The few times I have needed help, they were available quickly and efficiently. They even let me know when it hadn't been running for a while (a problem on our end I hadn't been informed of), so I could get that fixed.

PROS

The ease of use for this product is worlds better than what we were using previously. Basically drag and drop with schedules and playlists. I was able to set up a schedule the first day and have been adding and subtracting from the playlists as needed ever since. Easy to set up on our television, and easy for my team to keep updated.

CONS

I could do with fewer emails from them, but I'm sure that's in a setting somewhere that I have yet to track down due to my own prioritization. The system itself has yet to disappoint me in any way.

An All-in-one soulful to your digital signage needs

Only been up for 3 days but so far it is stable, and extremely easy to navigate

The layout of the dashboard. The ease of creating playlists. I REALLY liked the auto save and auto publish when changes are made to the playlist!

CONS

I've not yet encountered any. I'm a small user so I am certain that I will not use this to it's fullest capacity

Cost Effective Signage Solution

I love how easy it is to use this product and how easy it is to manage multiple locations and screens.

Optisigns for Church

PROS

We moved away from ugly bulletin boards and such and installed what are now pretty reasonably priced TV's. The switch to and management of the content is so easy with Optisigns. We really are HUGE fans

CONS

Honestly no down sides. We are very happy with every aspect

More Expensive Options Just don't Make Sense.

I almost went with another super expensive company Just because they integrated my POS with their plan. The truth is, You can hire a company like addwire.com to design your menus cheaper than paying thousands more a month, and I'm so glad that I went with Optisigns because it's great for Small businesses like mine to compete with these other giant companies, and it's easy to manage.

PROS

Optisigns was easy to setup. I bought my televisions from Sams, Plugged in the Media Players from Optisigns, and Powered right up and started running my playlists that I configured for it. I like how it was just so easy.

CONS

It could offer a more detailed startup guide for new equipment. Also, The Lack of Apps they offer, which I'm sure will be updated and new apps released over time.

I liked some of the Apps they offered, but when the rubber met the road, Optisigns just seemed like a better option. After throwing caution to the wind, I quickly realized that Optisigns was the best choice.

PROS

OptiSigns is very reliable to everyone. We can schedule playlist, remote in to different players and make changes everything is very convenient with OptiSigns.

CONS

In the digital creator if we have the option of some more extra widgets would be helpful in creating content. I already like what we have. But having extra will be more better.

Great hospitality upgrade in our restaurant!

Our goal was to do an upgrade from our regular TV and USB stick setup, which was a pain to manage and therefore very static. We have started a 30-day trial, which is great because of a lack of pressure. Spare time is very limited in the restaurant business. So this gave us plenty of time to evaluate and test out its features. Not requiring a credit card is also nice. Furthermore, the restaurant business is always clamoured for budget. Especially in these Covid-times. Giving us the opportunity to go forward with cheap hardware and software investments (most of the parts were already in place) and delivering a works-just-fine experience is a pleasant surprise. Going forward gave us (all of the personnel) great ideas to pursue with our new found digital signage solution.

PROS

Most prominent features for us are the smooth integrations with the Socials. Instagram and Facebook (business) feeds were a breeze to setup. As well as our Google and FB reviews. This is just great to see for our customers (feedback) as well as our personnel (pride of work). Note: Some other offerings failed totally at or did not support this at all. Any media type (pictures and video) we have thrown at it so far works just right out of the box. Whether in landscape or portrait mode. And being able to fling together a picture with captions, icons and stickers at a moment’s notice is great! The flow from recording on your phone to showing on screen takes 15 minutes. It just works stable and like a charm on our 'low-end' hardware, like our Mi TV Sticks (Android TV). Haven't seen any crashes yet. And rest assured that the app will recover and update itself in case of any issues. Very good set-and-forget setup.

CONS

Having just trialed OptiSigns for a couple of weeks now we have not come across any issues of mention yet. Surely it may lack some super detailed or niche feature sets, customization options or device management others may offer, but the pricing per screen completely makes up for that. The management system may be a bit overwhelming for our employees to self-manage. So management of assets may remain with me, the IT admin, such is life. Although this may be overcome with giving them e.g. access to a Google Slides presentation and incorporate that. And of course, the social and other feeds update themselves automatically. If OptiSigns ever would offer an easy fool-proof phone/tablet-to-screen (iOS and Android) content-creation phone app to manage assets this would be a killer solution!

The price-performance comparison is favorable for OptiSigns. It did everything we required and more at a reasonable price per screen. It just works great on low-end hardware. Which is fantastic if your organisation is working on a tight budget. Going from static images to using social feeds and videos is already a huge step forward for us. Having other options available to us in the future (better hardware and further apps to explore) only adds to our excitement to build on this.

Very functional mobile app and easy to adjust content from anywhere

The ease of use, ability to schedule content from anywhere, and quality of playback using OptiSigns has been a gamechanger for us. We continue to find new ways to engage our guests now that we have unlocked so many possibilities with a platform that stays up to date with technological changes in the industry.

PROS

It is so easy to schedule content, edit playlists and switch out media.

CONS

There are some small interface issues with scheduling custom repeating events that show up here and there. This is not a major issue as it can be solved by refreshing and recreating the event, but it is worth refining. I also would like to see the emergency message center added to the mobile app, and a bit quicker response on the support side. These are all things that I believe will be improved as this platform continues to grow.

OptiSigns offered the features we needed for what we felt was a reasonable price. Many providers charge more for a system that is not as easy for entry-level employees to use and more tedious to update or set up.

We will continue to use CenterEdge Advantage for many other aspects of our facility management. The Digital Signage platform they offer is not their main priority, nor is it the most important service they provided for us. We needed a more robust solution for signage, and OptiSigns delivered.

Very good service

When the platform is working like it should, it´s perfect, great tools and ease of use.

It´s a robust platform, it´s very easy to use and deploy, we can have hundreds of players working on multiple Teams.

CONS

Some times there are problems with the servers and the service in general, like when I´m unable to upload content, unable to use Canva, White label platform doesn´t work like the official one.

OptiSigns Review

Overall, we have had a pleasant experience with OptiSigns. It was a much better solution to our previous Digital Signage company and we are looking to expand the signage to more locations.

PROS

OptiSigns was extremely easy to implement throughout our 15 branches and fit our budget. Scheduling content for specific locations was a plus for us as well.

CONS

The On/Off Feature with the managed devices does not always work, we are still trying to iron this issue out.

The portal was much more user friendly and OptiSigns had the ability to schedule the devices to turn on and off themselves.

Reasons for switching to OptiSigns

Using a WordPress site as our signage was not sustainable. In order to get updated content out, branches would have to refresh their computer. Having a platform that automatically refreshed content allowed us to be light on our feet in terms of marketing and promotions.

Electronic theater playbills.

At our theater/live concert hall, we use OptiSigns for digital signage of upcoming events. This becomes an electronic promotional listing. OptiSigns gives us the ability to easily manage these assets and playlist. As an event passes, we can easily remove that graphic from all displays. Likewise, we can add graphics as an event is announce. For private events, we can change from the "upcoming shows" playlist to a playlist of assets specific to that event. Scheduling allows us to accomplish this in advance, and a mobile app allows management on spur of the moment. OptiSigns allows us to add/remove devices as needed. We use Amazon FireStick HDMI devices, as well as a few FireTV enabled monitors. No expensive hardware or networking is required. We have been quite happy with OptiSigns, and plan on continued use.

PROS

Cost effective with not a lot of expensive device and network infrastructure. Easy to change assets and playlist. Ability to loop video assets. Available app to manage devices. IOS & Android Easy to add/remove devices as needed, while maintaining one user interface.

CONS

Could us a little better flexibility for account/billing. Sometimes we might need to add a single device to our account for a single event, without paying for an extended plan for that additional device. Maybe, a daily or weekly plan for additional devices beyond the first device. Also would be great to have the ability to assign multiple devices to the same screen. I would like to have a number of display devices all be the same. As things currently work, I have to make changes to each screen. I wish that I could assign screens as duplicates, so I only have to do it once.

Columbus Museum of Art LOVES OptiSigns!

PROS

I needed to find a simple software with the capability to display onto digital screens throughout the Museum. I had a hard time finding something within our small budget. OptiSigns came out on top in all categories, ease of use, nonprofit pricing, customer service, and more. The software is simple to learn and I can add a screen in just a few minutes. Also, adding a new asset is simple and if I want to upload something I created in a different program (like Adobe) OptiSigns makes it easy to do so.

CONS

The design software is a little clunky. But once you can play around it is easy to manage. So long as you understand Canva, anyone can do it. The scheduling a playlist is also a little confusing at first. You just have to experiment and you'll get the hang of it.

The pricing was just unbeatable. Also the experience of the product reps, night and day. There were simply no other platforms I considered to be close.

Optisign made things easier for us

Very satisfied. The management of these has been much easier compared to competitors, and when time is limited, that is a huge benefit.

PROS

The dedicated built-in hardware android players are fast and easy to setup, and swap where needed.

CONS

The players seem to die out quickly due to overheating. But this is being addressed in a newer model over the next few months

A great way to control your content across multiple displays

Seamless end to end display management in a simple package. Can't comment on their customer support as I've never had to use it!

PROS

Ease of use for non-technical users makes this a great solution that doesn't require IT/AV support.

CONS

We have had no issues at all with installation or managing the system. I cannot fault it!.

Look no further

Love the product thus far

PROS

I have TouchBistro and their digital menu did not work at all. I have searched and searched tried multiple trials and this was by far user user friendly and easy to use even if you are not tech savvy. I can add my continuous updates to the menu as we have to keep adjusting due to food costs and the shortages. It loads in seconds beautifully. I even mark out what items we sell out of. Don’t waste your time looking around!

CONS

The symbols are a little lacking and could not change the color on the ones I wanted to use from the template. Also I could not find the font though it was used in the template. I hope as I learn how to upload and edit I think it won’t matter. I also wish I could set the font size with a number not a slider bar it’s to hard to get it exact but I managed to make it close.

Great for business with dynamic information

We use OptiSigns regularly (every day) in our business to keep our customers in-the-know about the many shows, classes and opportunities available. It's a crucial tool for us.

PROS

Optisigns has totally upped our game with being able to keep a good flow of information up to date and regular on our bar tv screens and entry-way screens. Updating is fast and easy, and it's possible to create playlists to play the correct information at the correct sign.

CONS

could be better about notifications of new features.

Easy to use and manage digital signage solution.

Overall my experience with OptiSigns has been very positive. It is easy to setup and use. It is very easy for our content manager to update and publish things to all the different TVs we have in the facility.

PROS

OptiSign was fairly easy to setup and to use. You add a player to each tv. It lets you name each player based on what makes sense for you to manage its content. You then can schedule each player to play the same thing or play something different on each one. It is also fairly reasonable in pricing.

CONS

The live tv feature and how you have to configure it. Also, the configuration is only good for one tv unless you have a video distribution system already setup that you can leverage, but you still have to purchase the extra equipment to make it work.

They had a very hard interface to use and they quit updating their product. Plus using their site to upload and to manage the content was extremely slow and extremely hard to manage.

Fantastic! Quick to set up and easy to use!

PROS

When I first started looking at digital signage options, the process got overwhelming very fast. Reviews like these help me make a quicker decision. Optisigns was super easy to learn (unlike other platforms). I had my first screen set up in minutes using my own digital content. The scheduling platform was super helpful to set up different menus for different times of the day. I love being able to update my signage remotely, as our menu can change on a daily basis. The support has been super helpful each time I've used them - quick and friendly replies both on email and phone. I highly recommend using them.

CONS

Not much. As I've said, they've been great! My only complaint is with using the ROKU app. Because of ROKU's "sleep mode", I have to use a screensaver option on my ROKU TV using Optisigns. I don't know if anything has changed with this, but I know it's not really an Optisigns issue. Optisigns was able to put out a fix for this pretty fast, which I appreciated. It's a ROKU thing, and I already don't like ROKU. :)

Reason for choosing OptiSigns

Again, it was super easy to set up and provided a better user experience.

Awesome, economical ($) product for small businesses and public institutions

9.5/10, would definitely recommend to colleagues, like in other library branches.

PROS

- Great cost: super cheap to deploy a single digital sign, great for small organizations - Great content management: able to set automatic "go live" and "expiry" dates for content, plus automatic deletion of old content. Huge time-saver. - Instead set-up: download Optisigns on Firestick, plug into TV... streaming within minutes.

CONS

- One blip: was supposed to receive 10GB file storage. Found myself getting blocked from adding new stuff after only 1GB. Took a few emails and some insistence to get Optisigns IT to look into it and not ignore it to realize, 'Oh, yeah you've been accidentally limited to 1 instead of 10 GB. Fixed.' - "Designer" app is not bad-- you can add dynamic content together. (Same with 'Split screen'.) But they are a little hard to use / ugly-looking. Prefer to just use Canva for producing static videos with animations, content, &c.

Reason for choosing OptiSigns

Don't remember the specific other options, but Optisigns seemed geared toward low-cost, easy solutions for small businesses/public institutions like libraries, that didn't involve huge upfront and monthly costs to run. We just need 1 TV, could have used a Raspberry Pi, but glad to pay $10/month to have the ease of Optisigns instead.

Great tool for multi-screen signage!

PROS

OptiSigns was easy to learn and easy to train others. The basic features are intuitive (creating a playlist, assigning a screen, uploading content, etc) and the user interface is well-designed. I'm used to having a learning curve with all software I use and I really didn't have much to learn with OptiSigns - it just made sense, and I feel confident I can have another team member take over my OptiSigns duties when I'm out and that they will understand how to do what they need to do.

CONS

OptiSigns is great for basic features but lacks some amount of advanced features from what I've noticed. For example, in creating a playlist there are only a few options for slide transitions, and beyond that very little ability to customize the content beyond the number of seconds each slide plays for. I used to use Canva integrated into OptiSigns, but I don't anymore because when I use Canva within Opti it doesn't show my organizations saved projects from my Canva account, despite me being logged in to that Canva account. It shows a very limited, Canva-lite view of your normal Canva account. It'd make it faster if I could access everything in my Canva account directly from OptiSigns.
