Pipeline Streamline
Overall the program isn't bad, it's just that the phone app can be better and more user friendly.
PROSWhat I like most about this software is being able to see the time stamps of how long our vehicles are in each step and what's potentially coming down our pipeline. It not only helps guide me in doing my job, it also helps the rest of our department know what may be bottlenecked and/or know what our end of day goal is.
CONSThe things I don't like about the software is that in the details overview when inputting data on the desktop version sometimes without cause the screen will refresh itself and erase what you've already inputted. Also the phone app has been increasingly more counter productive in the streamline of moving vehicles from step to step, having to go into multiple screens/interfaces to move a vehicle instead of seeing the vehicle in step and being able to move the vehicle from that same interface. Instead of being able to move the vehicle in the step's list you have to individually click a vehicle then find the change step button and select from a drop down.

Solid software
We always get prompt customer service when we need a change to our layout.
PROSWe appreciate how user friendly it is, and easy to use for all our staff members. Being that it's web based, it can be utilized on any computer or hand held devise.
CONSThere is a lot of unused features that pertain to a Car Dealership vs a Collision repair shop, but we understand that the main target audience.

EASY TO USE BUT CAN GLITCHY
OVERALL THIS SOFTWARE HAS HELPED US TO MANAGE AND IMPROVE OUR RECON PROCESS
PROSTHIS SOFTWARE IS EASY FOR ANYONE TO LEARN AND USE
CONSSINCE THE LAST MAJOR UPDATE WE HAVE A LOT OF ISSUES WITH LOCKUP AND FREEZING. ALSO THE SPEED HAS SLOWED GREATLY IN THE SAME TIME FRAME. WE DO NOT LIKE THAT THE CLOCK CAN NOT BE RESET ON A VEHICLE THAT WAS HERE, SOLD, AND THEN TRADED BACK IN, DUE TO THE FACT THAT WE USE THE LAST 8 OF THE VIN FOR OUR STOCK NUMBERS.

The Missing Link
We have been able to recognize bottle necks and improve our efficiency while moving our inventory through all necessary steps.
PROSRapid Recon was the missing link for our company in streamlining and joining together our two teams (sales and service). It provides one location that everyone can turn to for information and makes communicating across the company effortless. The customer service is phenomenal, with quick turn around times and solid fixes. The program is customizable enough that we have tailored it to our company over the years of using it.
CONSAs with everything there is a learning curve but nothing was insurmountable. And now I can say that I have no negative opinions on Rapid Recon.

I can't imagine having a dealership and not having Rapid Recon
You can't maximize profitability at any dealership without being excellent at buying & selling used cars. And you can't be excellent at selling used cars if you aren't efficient at reconditioning them. Rapid Recon provides our dealerships with an affordable and very intuitive solution to help us recondition our inventory quickly and efficiently. If your goal is to grow your used car department to where it truly is maximizing its true potential, you simply can't do it without Rapid Recon.
PROS*User Friendly, even for people that run from basic technology *Intuitive *Interface for Service, Sales and Vendors *Make following a vehicle through recon seamless and smooth *Identifies roadblocks, delays and hurdles that might be otherwise hard to identify
CONS*Flipping between locations can be clunky *A "group level" hub might be a great idea for locations w/ multiple locations

Easy To Use
It took me a little time to buy into for our recon process. Once I did, I was all in and won't go back.
PROSBest features of the software are: -time stamps and day/hr tracking -creating and customizable steps -reports
CONSWhat I would like to see: -Limited view based on store role. Example: Salesperson can only see steps 5,10, and 15 -assigning to an indiviual user within the step

Rapid Review
For the most part very good experience. I consider it to be a great program.
PROSEase of use, accountability, report generation and all of the other functions that we use.
CONSWould like to see the ability to forward and estimate with photos. I buy several cars per month for our dealership and on occasion have to Arbitrate something on the the vehicle purchased. When submitting an arbitration, I have to send photos and detailed repair/damage estimate for reimbursement and Rapid Recon makes this part of my functions very time consuming. Also would like the ability in real time to edit vehicle information such as stock #s and other items without deleting the entire car 1st or waiting for the program to scrape our DMS for the changes.

I really like it, because it makes my job easier, faster and more organized, which is the most important to me in a company. Support team usually replies fast and it has the main functions a Recon needs to make our kind of business running.

Rapid Recon Review
By using Rapid Recon we solved the following business problems: 1) Where's this vehicle? Where's the key? How far along the inspection progress is it? When will it be ready to sell? How much did it cost to get it to the Front Line. Basic stuff but time consuming and distracting to constantly be answering these questions. Now with Rapid Recon Sales/Service staff and management can simply check their PC or phone for the info they need. 2) Info is in real-time and comments/notes remain a permanent record. 3) The Reports available in Rapid Recon are a great tool for productivity analysis and planning. VERY positive experience with Rapid Recon. It works!
PROSImpactful features of Rapid Recon have been: 1) the ability to customize Steps to match our existing teams, departments, physical locations and established nomenclature. 2) quickly review, modify and revise Work Items (estimates) by multiple staff and management in different locations. Yes, Rapid Recon has proven to be very easy to use from the very start. It was simple to integrate into our business processes.
CONSLike to see the ability to start a new estimate while still preserving an existing one. For example: a vehicle gets traded in a year after an inspection/estimate is completed. A NEW inspection/estimate will be completed. Don't want to delete the existing estimate to make room for the new one.

Rapid Recon
I am able to organize my business in such a way that I can provide individual attention to each of my stores without losing our minds trying to remember it all and keep it all straight.
PROSWe now have a unified program for all our stores, which I love. We are a single department that services over ten stores, so having one screen to focus on keeps us sane in the midst of the chaos.
CONSGaps are present in the application. Stores at our different locations do not always have real-time visibility into the status of the vehicles, which further adds to confusion.

CONSWhen looking for new cars on the front line when we print out reports you can only see exterior color and trim level. I would love to see exterior, trim level, and interior color so my sales reps could locate the correct cars faster.

Great tool for inventory and tracking but not without its flaws
Overall I would highly recommend Rapid Recon to anyone seeking a tool to move vehicles through the process and keep track of them in real time on the lot.
PROSWe are in the automotive dealership and we use this daily for New and Used cars. This is a great tool for mobility and PC. I love the fact that we can scan Vin's and it GEO tags the location of the cars and we can keep everyone updated with pictures and notes in real time.
CONSI would love for the Rapid Recon software to integrate in with our keytrack software. If we could locate vehicles faster or have up to date GPS location on our phones without having to scan the vehicles that would help immensely.

Helps us keep track
It's been a helpful tool for us but for it to be effective, all users need to buy into using it. There is a bit of a learning curve and even though it adds a little time and steps for those in the back of the dealership, it's helpful for those in the front of the dealership to keep track of the status of our inventory.
PROSWhen used properly by all involved parties, RR helps us keep track of what vehicle is where in the recon process and ultimately saves us time. This translates to quicker turn around times. It's a one stop resource to see what's left in the process. Again, it's only as good as the info that is input by the various users.
CONSSometimes the app freezes up when viewing retail/recon photos and either can't be taken back to the previous display or, the app needs to be restarted.

Necessary Program
Rapid Recon has definitely helped to improve the flow of our reconditioning process, which overall cuts down the time to get a vehicle through the process and on the front line ready for sale. It has helped us identify where we need to improve to get vehicles through quicker and make changes as needed.
PROSRapid Recon makes it easy to keep everyone in the dealership informed on what is going on with a car in the reconditioning process. It also holds people accountable for their part of the process and it makes it easier to identify bottlenecks. I also like that the program can be customized to fit the organization that is using it.
CONSI cannot think of any cons. As I said in the pros the system is completely customizable so you basically will get out of it what you put into it.

Good Product
Overall it has been good. It makes identifying bottle necks in the process easy and keeps all processes efficient.
PROSI like how easy it makes organizing and keeping track of used inventory. It truly optimizes the reconditioning process.
CONSI feel as though my company does not use the software to its full potential. I can't speak as to those functions but I don't have any complaints with what I frequently use.

Great for everyone
We have been able to be more organized as an entire group with this software. Our turnaround time has decreased, we have become more accountable for individual vehicles, and that reduces the time it takes to get them back no the lot. You can't make money if you aren't selling!
PROSEase of use across all of the departments. It is really useful to be able to see where a car is in our entire process, and see what we are still waiting for, or what it needs
CONSI don't really have any things that I don't like. I do think that if they could integrate video options into the suite, that would make it more valuable to dealers.

Love Rapid Recon
I'm a fan of Rapid Recon. It has worked well for our dealership, and there are have been steady improvements to the product since we started using it.
PROSThe ability to track the recon process and evaluate the effectiveness of the overall process, step by step, is invaluable.
CONSThere is at least one additional report I would like... A drill down report that starts with every move by a user, broken down by step. Also, I would prefer that the Notes section for each vehicle to be close to the top of the page where users can see it immediately.

It saves time for me from how we used to do it. The one time I had an issue it was resolved the same day.
PROSWhat I like most about the software is the reliability. I've been using it for several years, and only once when they were updating features did I have an issue using it. It works every day, every time.
CONSNot many things to dislike about it, it works and that's what's important to me. Makes my job easier. If I had to pick something, I guess it is very basic and nothing is overly exciting about the design or layout.

Almost flawless
Everything is easy to get too, easy search. Not overly complicated having to press many different things to get to where you need to go.
CONSAt our dealership we can not see photos taken of the vehicle before it is detailed and photos are taken for it to go on the front line. Only managers are allowed permission to the photos that are taken before it's ready for sale (This would be very helpful for us to have an idea of the condition of the vehicle a guest is interested in) There is no way for us to see the photos without giving manager permissions which they will not. It'd be great if sales consultants/BDC reps had access to this information.

Controlling your used car repair process
After using this program at our main store, we installed it at our satellite stores also.
PROSThe Rapid Recon Team has developed a software that is user friendly, easy to train, and the best way I have found to manage my used car repair process. I can find any car in our inventory, and know what step of the reconditioning process the vehicle is in, and how long it has been there.

Amazing product
Rapid Recon has become a necessary part of our process. It has allowed work to be approved when off premises and gives me instant access to plan my departments day before I have finished my morning coffee.
PROSThe software is user friendly while allowing you to drill down to find complex information and reporting if you want it. It allows you to custom tailor your process and make changes as you go.
CONSThere are some features that would make tech life a bit more efficient. Specifically while adding work items.
