Postman for continuous cross-platform operation
We are testing XML or JSON files with product catalogs that our suppliers are giving us to sync their products. We are testing our APIs that we provide to our affiliates. We find glitches and bugs to our apps by multiple tests. It's easier to build apps and APIs on Postman first and then to our websites and apps using code snippet generator.
PROSI like the fact that everything is synced with my account to all my devices and it's compatible with all Operating Systems. The fact that I can import collections of featured services for testing (e.g. Zoho which we use heavily for our services) is very cool. I like Code snippet generator which helps me generating curl requests for different kind of projects. The API Documentation creator is saving us a lot of time when creating custom tools for services we provide to affiliates.
CONSIf there's one thing I can ask for is better tab management. When I open many tabs there is a mess on my workspace. I know I can create a new workspace or open a new Window, but if I could just group tabs it would be a life saver.

Great API lifecycle managment tool for rest/json APIs
Postman has become one of essential tool in our software development projects (web services, microservices). We use it mostly for testing rest/json APIs and documenting APIs we created in form of collections. Secondly we often also receive Postman collections as part of integration documentation from other vendors and that helps a lot with integration.
PROSPostman has become one of essential tool in our software development projects (web services, microservices). It is the best tool for testing rest/json APIs. Support for exporting/importing collection and environment data.
CONSNothing special, but sometimes during troubleshooting results in Postman can be misleading and it is useful to do simple curl calls to see what is happening behind the scenes.
Reason for choosing Postman
Postman offers better support for rest/json APIs.

Getting Pretty Glitchy
Good, but could be better if the issue noted above (which causes A LOT of extra work) were fixed.
PROSPostman provides a great framework to write automated tests for our software. It is easy to organize and run full suites of tests with one click.
CONSLately, the software has been reverting changes on its own. Sometimes this happens as you are writing a test. Other times, the changes are gone when you return to the collection the next day. There seems to be some issue with the synching function. We often notice that collections that have been complete deleted return to a workspace, seemingly at random.

Best API testing tool. Period.
I wish Postman came into existence long back. It has made our life easier regarding the creation and testing of APIs. No doubt it is a unicorn and has a bright future.
PROSPostman is one single solution for all your API needs. It is extremely simple to create, test, and share your APIs.
CONSThe API URLs we have tested will be deleted after you leave Postman, meaning you have to enter the API URLs every time you want to try. This is a bit annoying and should be addressed.
Reason for choosing Postman
Once familiar with the platform, it becomes easy to operate, and its ease of use and features differentiate it from its competitors.

Great tool to test REST API calls.
Within Our Organization, We have been using the Postman tool for API testing by a couple of teams internally overall it helps us to minimize the development time.
PROSIt allows our QA and Application Support teams to simplify the methods of developing APIs. GUI is quite straightforward and user friendly. The free plan has it's limited features but most helpful.
CONSLimited for REST API Testing. And it is still not supporting for Hessian protocol.
Reason for choosing Postman
It has predefined templates that allow our QA Engineers to create test scripts quickly.

It started from simple API requests, but when we went further with the automations it was a game changer in our organization.
PROSAutomations! You can do a lot with automated processes, use variables, input files, set schedules. Basically you can make the app do the work for you!
CONSQuite complicated at first (comparing to other API-calling solutions)
Reason for choosing Postman
Fully compatible with all kind of API requests.
Reasons for switching to Postman
Swagger was unable to process certain API requests

Postman is a great tool for api designing and testing
Postman is a great tool for Developers specifically those who work with APIs . You can do collaboration by working in the same workspace from the Postman to connect with your team and share files and codes and api response etc. More over you can develop and design your api you can test it. You can access third parties like cloud providers and code source management softwares .
PROSI like the fact that there is everything at the same place for api development from the planning to the designing and to the testing of the api. I can use third parties like cloud providers and source code managements.
CONSDebugging and customization is a bit difficult for begginers but overall it is compromisable

Increadible API Solution
There's quite a lot to like about Postman, aside from the fact that you can create and test API very precisely it remains a top-notch tool for developers. While it's true there are quite a handful of similar software solutions, Postman simply makes life a lot easier based on experience.
CONSWithin the context of my usage, I will say there's nothing to like less about the solution.

A user-friendly, comprehensive API testing tool
I must admit that Postman is the best API testing tool I encountered up till now. It is comprehensive, with a load of features and great documentation. I don't recall any bugs with it throughout the years and despite I tried a variety of other software I always came back to Postman. Import and exports in the program are ridiculously easy. Requests, snippets, and even collections may be imported/exported with a couple of clicks. It makes configuration sharing incredibly simple. With its clarity and ease of use, it is worth trying!
PROSThe thing I like most about Postman is its clarity and ease of use. All basic functionalities are visibly described and ready to run within a couple of seconds. HTTP requests are the most important thing in the software, and they are working correctly, without any bugs. Of course, all requests are fully customizable, starting with core items like headers, authorizations, query parameters, and different payload types, through more advanced, such as scripts executed before the request and tests run after the response is received, finishing on the most advanced items like requests settings (e.g. following redirects) and cookies management. User can save requests and their configuration in collections, which makes rerunning tests and requests fast and organized. The possibility to define environments and APIs reduces the necessity of switching between different accounts or even rewriting needed data. A user can add documentation using defined requests and even comments describing e.g. TODO details. Also, automatic HTTP code snippet generation is extremely useful, especially when various languages are used on the backend side. The paid version of the tool offers more functionalities, like sharing the work between teams or constant API monitoring, which influence everyday work simplifying it significantly. The price is not too exorbitant, so it should not be a problem for the majority of companies. I also like the documentation, which contains all the necessary information.
CONSTo tell the truth, I cannot really find any flaws in Postman. I am working with it for over 3 years and I don't recall any problems or bugs with it. The only thing that can be better is the history of executed requests. It would be useful to be able to store more records from the past.

Easy-to-use tool for API testing
Overall, Postman is a very useful tool to have which comes in handy when developing and testing APIs. It is not something that would be needed everyday but when the occasion requires, it does what it says on the tin. Even users who have not used it previously can quickly get accustomed to the features and start working with it right away. It helps the company a lot as it makes API testing a breeze, especially considering the popularity of APIs in this day and age.
PROSPostman is a very simple and easy-to-use tool that helps developers create, test and document APIs. -A big feature of Postman is the 'collections' feature which helps developers to organize API calls into folders and helps with the creation of test suites. This makes it a fantastic tool for both developers and testers -Postman offers many types of API methods, making it useful for all types of API calls -Jenkins integration is a fantastic feature for those who need it -Saving previous API calls and environment data makes it easy to repeat previously created/run tests thus increasing development and testing process -The design is very simple and clean, making it easy for new adopters to use Postman -As it is very lightweight, Postman is quick to load up and does not take up much resources -The basic (free) version of Postman offers most of the useful features without having to spend a dime
CONSPostman API Client is actually a very simple and easy to use tool. As a result it does not really have any significant drawbacks, especially as it is not really a tool that is used on a daily basis by developers. However, one feature that would be quite useful would if there was an option to monitor test suites/cases, a feature that competitors do offer.

Postman simplifies building APIs. Save yourself the time and dev dollars--use it!
Positive. There's not really another app that does what Postman does as well as it does it, so will continue to use it. Great job to the Developers; they've built something that's highly useful to a large number of people!
PROSIt's become our go-to software for developing, testing/debugging and deploying APIs to our AWS Cloud infrastructure accounts. We work in several distributed teams where the code gets written quickly and changed frequently, so we're members of a Postman workspace where the requests update automatically after they're saved (probably my favorite feature).
CONSWorkspaces have a limited number of seats, and it gets expensive quickly. Environment variables in a shared workspace get messy quickly, and there's no way to search or pin them if you're dealing with 100+ of them. Their docs on variables and their JavaScript API is a little confusing and don't work exactly as they describe them, especially when writing integration tests. There have been times where we've lost variables we've saved, and we had to start backing them up offline and re-importing them.

Postman - the best with REST APIs
As i am using the free Postman version (incidental use, not day to day use) i am probably scratching the service as to the functionality of Postman. I use both the desktop client and the browser based version. THe best about Postman is that you can simply jump into old projects and you will be up and running again in no time.
PROSPostman is a great tool for testing REST API, making connections to REST APIs. Although not as straight forward as SOAP UI (REST Projects), I think that the possibilities of Postman are great with regards to creating an storing projects that you are working on, including storing all kinds of values like API Keys, client IDs, client secrets and so on. Visiting a workspace that you worked in/on in the past allows you to pick up where you left of. Make sure that you save the aforementioned values and you have no issues picking up and refreshing for instance an OUATH2 token with a refresh token.
CONSAs many developers dive into the software and do not read any 'how to' documents, finding your way is a little daunting. However, I managed to figure out the configurations and options without to much trouble. As often many options cloud the interface but with some puzzling you should be able to use this tool.
Reason for choosing Postman
It is not so much choose over as it is next to. SoapUI excels with SOAP, Postman is better at REST

Best tool for APIs developement/testing
In my organisation, we use postman to store all APIs of different products in to same workspace and different collections created basis projects which saves a lot of time and efforts of the teams. API access can also be controlled by the administration.
PROSI feel like it is the best tool for api testing/development, Best thing is its UI easy to understand and Easy to use for api debugging/testing. Features: 1. Supports all content type. 2. Supports Multiple workspace creation. 3. Can easily create collection of APIs with different environments setup. 4. Supports mocking of apis which removes the dependency on backend. A lot of more features which will help to organise your project and can share same workspace with your team.
CONSI don't see any cons as such but sometimes application lags in both Windows/Mac systems and after restart it losses all response and previous history of apis request data which definitely require rework again.

A tool we can't work without
As I mentioned in the 'pros' section, we've experienced a speed boost when working with Postman when working on API design--we work remote, so having a Postman team has helped us work together. It also helps the communication lines between the front-end or mobile-app team and the API team, since we can all see exactly what datapoints are included in each endpoint and communicate with the back-end team to request changes.
PROSIt's a pain to design APIs without Postman. We can't go back--having all endpoints well-documented with the ability to switch between environments (local, staging, and production) with different permissions in each has saved us a ton of time. It has boosted my productivity compared to when I was testing with CURL/command line/in-app with print statements. It's easy to use, and it works.
CONSIt has been a little 'buggy' (nothing that can't be fixed with a quick restart), but I'm sure these will be fixed in the near future. An optional auto-save feature when working on endpoints would be nice (I sometimes forget to save and then lose my work on that endpoint).

I have been using Postman for couple of years now, It is user friendly comparing to its rivals. The import and export feature that it has is very useful to share the CURLS across organization. The requests that we are using or testing can be saved in folders which improves the governance.

A very nice HTTP client for developers
It helped me a lot during the software development and maintenance phases of projects.
PROSI think the best part is that it is suitable for different kinds of roles in the IT industry. Whether you are a software engineer, business analyst or a test engineer it doesn't matter. The tool provides you tons of functionalities from creating automated tests to sharing your HTTP request collections with other colleagues. It also saves your previous requests and provides you historical access to these requests which can be useful.
CONSWhen a new version is available and the one u use is deprecated a warning popup becomes visible indicating that the version is deprecated and the user must download the latest version from the website. It is good to inform the user about version changes but auto-update functionality would be really nice instead of directing the user to the website.

The best API platform
I have been using postman for a long time since I studying in the university. I use it for both of REST and SOAP API development and testing. This is the best API platform I have used and I would like to recommend this to anyone for their daily use.
PROSRequests and collections can be imported and exported easily and very quickly. All the requests can be easily customizable. We can set headers, parameters, authorizations in the requests and once we receive the output we can save the response and it's request and can share those with others. User interfaces are really attractive and simple and that makes easier for even beginners.
CONSIf there are like large number of APIs stored in postman, sometimes it crashes. I did not loose any data but the app is not accessible for sometime and that's the only concern I experienced for these years.

Review for Postman
I really like the fact that there is a free version for individual users and my overall experience with postman is very satisfying. I would like to see another feature where it allows us to publish a single or multiple requests to a team workspace, where we do not have to create the same API endpoint in the team workspace.
PROSPostman is a tool that most developers/QA personal use for their day-to-day work. It provides all the main features that we expect for testing APIs. And the cool thing is it just not stops there. It gives you the ability to host APIs, create clean documentations, publish/import/export APIs and environments which are very useful features. And there are plenty of other features that I'm not using.
CONSBefore version 8, it used to be very user-friendly, but now it seems a bit complicated even for the ones who used the product.

Once I completed the developer testing I share or export and send the same collection to the QA engineer.
CONSIf I try a POST request with a huge request body, them the app gets stuck. And it takes some time to come to the normal state.

Best API building and testing tool I've used so far.
Postman helps in my day to day tasks of development and testing. I usually do all my end to end testing using postman. It also saves all the logs and history so I don't have to worry about shutting down my pc abruptly.
PROSPostman is the best tool out there to test the APIs. I have been using it for a few years now and all my colleagues use this too. Best thing about this tool is that you can save all the Endpoints and don't have to enter them repeatedly.
CONSOne thing it lacks is that you have to import the whole collection if you have several APIs why in other applications you can just open it via link. But apart from that it is well and good.
Reasons for switching to Postman
Postman provides much better features than previous one.

My feedback about postman
If you want to reduce your api testing time you can use this tool, because it has all required option, especially monitoring option. i am not only using this api testing, you can use it for api automation and send a request local server(nodejs code) where you can do any operation you need to do like download images from server, write api response as a file,..etc.
PROSI like runner option very much, using this option we can run all the apis available inside the folder, and using prerequisite option we can set the api related data in environment file and using test script option we can make api to local server and redirect to particular api.
CONSThe only disadvantage in runner option is if the parent folder has multiple children folders, then it will run only the first children folder apis.
