Best tool for testing your web services and make the business to perform their test success in real
The best part of the tool is its GUI which helps us to test the SOAP and the best point is its open source and freely available. Its functional testing as a part includes the drag and drop and performing complex scenarios. We can also perform security testing load testing at a single glance. We can maintain our tests with a few clicks. Its been used by various enterprise business services companies and are making their business work flow simplier
CONSThere is nothing least about this but this need to be upgraded and come up with few bug fixes sometimes the page gets slow in responding this need to brought and overcome in next editions and versions

SoapUI review
IfI was given a choice to hire only manual testers, I will do this. Otherwise, I won't
PROSThis can be used by testers/business analysts who do not know how to code. You can still use Jenkins to invoke tests using API
CONSPro feature is not really needed if you can code. But if you are willing to learn their UI, it works good for everybody.

Very happy with 'Soap UI'. Best web service testing tool i ever used.
It helped me to achieve my project testing goals in time. No need to test API's one by one anymore. I have wrote test cases for all of my API's. I'm so satisfied with this tool. I just need a one click to execute my test cases.
PROSThis is my favorite web service testing tool (Rest and Soap Web Service). Beautiful and user friendly UI. I can execute test cases as batches. Reporting functions are also good. It's compatible with 'Groovy' language. Data parametrization is also very helpful when testing API's. It comes with major nun-functional testing types such as load testing, performance testing, stress testing, security testing. I have tested successfully more than 150 API's by using 'Soap UI'. Really helpful.
CONSIt's better if they can improve reporting functionalities in 'Soap UI' open-source edition. Nothing else. It's perfect.!

Good to work with WebServices
I use it to many purposes, but the mostly used (here in Brazil) is for "Nota Fiscal" webservices, because every now and then, they change something so you need to debug and see what is happening or how to implement the new or changed tags into your system. Here is when SoapUI becomes handy, it will help you track the response structure and values mor easily. I love it!
PROSI like it because you learn how to use it very quickly, then you can get very much more productive by using SoapUI to create, test, debug and validate WebServices. You can explore resulting XML payload in a very convenient way, with expansible nodes.
CONSThere is nothing I don't like in SoapUI, really, it is a very good tool. If I have to suggest something to improve, maybe they could improve the connections management. When you use it the first time you can get confused and start creating connections every time you open the tool and try to get response from a previously viewed WebService. I guess it could be simpler by starting with a saved services list then show all the connections you already have for that service.

Helpful in every organisation
I am using this software from pdt 2 years. It is very useful in term of testing. You can create, modify the data with the help of xmls. Sometime lengthy xmls can slow down the speed.
PROSSoapUI is best open source in terms of testing. Easily user can create and modify the data. Files can be store in it so that next time we can access the same files. UI is very good and easy to use.
CONSSometimes it took too much time to load the heavy data file and also crashes sometime. Because of which all the data can be lost. For beginners it is not very much user friendly.

SoapUI - good or bad?
I found it very useful for testing the product I have been working on. I could get my team to work simultaneously on same module dividing the client and server side implementation between them. Though it's bit tough to find out where and how to add certificates, but we could do that and that way can test the security of the software we are implementing.
PROS1. Writting the xml requests and editing them is very easy. 2. Useful for developer to test the services without having UI ready. That way 2 modules can be implemented in parallel. 3. Multiple projects can be loaded and tested simultaneously and can be saved for later testing. 4. Since it's easy to use, testers can use it to test the functionality without having much knowledge of coding etc. Just need little knowledge of writing xml requests.
CONS1. Configuration/Settings are not very user friendly. 2. Initial load time of software is longer than expected.

Best for webservices testing
We are using it to test our product web services. Easy to use. Saves lot of time
PROSWe use SoapUI for webservice testing. We send request XML payload to server and get a response back from it, for this we need to provide the WSDL url. With Soap UI we can test the performance and security of API . We can do security testing, load testing, Functional testing , SQL injection and many other features.
CONSTherr is nothing i dislike with Soap UI.

Very good application to test web services made in soap and rest. Easy to use and intuitive.
I help validate the payloads of the services to verify functionality, the response that returns, in order to obtain the expected results and then consume it in my application.
PROS- Ease of generating a project, just by indicating the wsdl of the service. - Save the request data of the service operation for faster use later. - Comfortable and intuitive interface for a faster and more productive work. - Super light application, can work on computers with few resources. - With the free version you can work completely. - It allows to generate with java, proxies of the services with different existing frameworks such as Jaxrpc or Axis
CONSThe learning curve to use the application is average, so a basic user would have a hard time learning how to use it.

good application for invoking wsdl
What I like most about this software is the way to simulate a web services using the mocks. It is also very simple to use and very simple to understand for us programmers
CONSthe graphical interface is not intuitive, I think it is made with javaUI which sometimes complicates things. Also, the configuration of the proxies is a bit more complicated than it should

Perfect little package to get a lot done!
Overall I recommend SOAP UI to just about everyone when in the context of this type of testing. Seven out of ten times the other person is already aware of the software or has used it in the past. It is truly one of the better-made software, and even though I know a great deal of how to use its features, I know that there is still a lot I don't even know about packed away within the menus. I look forward to mastering this piece of software soon.
PROSOnce you understand how to execute a Soap service through the user-friendly UI, it is perfect for running through an extensive suite of tests and validations. With on-the-fly edits that you can make in-between cases, you can ensure that you're meeting full coverage results.
CONSSometimes when importing a WSDL, you may only need to pass a request which includes ONLY required fields. I wish SOAP UI would allow you to make a sample request which only consists of the required fields and leaves the optional fields out of the sample. This would make things faster when I need to work through a heavy workload, but it's still not a huge downside, just one of those nice to have features.

Best lightweight API testing tool in the market
API testing is smooth with SoapUI and the layout of the application is simple and easy to use. I've used Postman before but SoapUI is lightweight and doesn't update daily like the other app.
CONSIt is hard to see the text in xml request as the display tends to get smaller. If there's error in response, sometimes it just keep loading before displaying the request timed out.

Uat and straight through rest runs made easy
Very helpful for testing the templates developed throught doc automation tool with custom answer file everytime. Have bee helpful with unit testing for various usecases from image insertion to qr development
PROSEasy to use interface and scripting abilities help create codes to call various rest commands with custom parameter datas to be able to test or run various business requirements directly. Multiple consoles can be run at a time and the ability to download or get generated output as files is very helpful to debug or verify the api developed
CONSAutosave feature isn't available. Also user interface could be improvised for better aid and script review. Though test results are great, they are shown in cumbersome way.

SoapUi --platform to test WSDL
its a great freeware tool and we are using it regularly to Get the response in XML format that can be used further for simulation testng
PROSit is a great tool that i have been using from the last 2+ years to test the Webservices with a simple UI. it saves a lot time as we have to just provide the WSDL and to connect and all the methods will be shown there to test.it it also suggest which are optional entities and which are mandatory .
CONSit does not provide proper error message , exception that is thrown while testing the WSDL it sometime hang up when a large XML is under execution.

Convenient Automated Testing
Over experience has been great as a developer. I have been able to check code optimization by just creating test scripts and executing them on SOAP UI very conveniently.
PROSIt is very convenient to create automated test scripts and sending asynchronous thread requests to end point systems using SOAP UI. It has a user friendly interface that makes it less complex than other automation tools in the market.
CONSHandling of REST APIs is a bit complex than the other tools in the market. For SOAP it works as a charm.

SOAPUI Review
Good for webservices and easily tranfer data in the form of xml so overall its better technique.
PROSIt is easy to use. Good for webservices testing. We can just put wsdl and connect with server. We can use different functions in this to use for different purposes. We can use this for security purpose also like we want to insert or delete data through XML.
CONSWhen we load big XML and perform an action then it does not responds properly. Output interface is not more informative when we get any error.

Amazing!
This software has been a big help in developing and testing SOAP statements for our platform. It has been feature filled enough to do everything we want while also being forgiving to someone like me who didn't come in as a professional.
PROSThis software is good for professionals with SOAP statements as well as forgiving for persons not familiar with them. The panes to view the statements and the results that return are very clear and easy to understand.
CONSEven though it is beginner friendly, it can appear a bit overwhelming to users who may encounter the software for the first time.

Pioneer in API testing and still one of best options
We use SoapUI for web service/ soap calls. Here TestSuites and script based tests come very handy. The soapUI project used to be part of our project deliverables. Lately we use Postman more and more, since Rest is becoming a standard for APIs.
PROSThe support fir for web service/ soap calls is great. Creating script based tests is simple and come very handy. I also like that SoapUI provides you with default request when you import wsdl which speeds up testing.
CONSThe support for rest/json is not so great. The UI could be more user friendly.

Product with ease of use
My experience with SoapUI was great, I can finish my connection and data reading projects more quickly and the software does not weigh on my computer's memory.
PROSThe ease of downloading the software on my computer was the requirement that made my decision more positive. When using SoapUI, there is the option of working with more than one project and during the tests the integration and results fail. The XML format is very simple to understand each information to be filled and the results obtained with it.
CONSThere is an initial SoapUI advertising screen that is not allowed to close. It does not interfere with the operation, but it is available in the same location as the projects.
Reason for choosing SoapUI
In fact, I only knew SoapUI, until now I don't know other options. As it suits me perfectly in what I need, I don't think about changing.

Excellent tool for testing WebServices.
It helps me to test WebServices and saves lot of my time. It is very wonderful tool.
PROSIt is very effective tool to test WebServices. It is very easy to use and provide GUI interface to test WebServices. Testers or developers need not to write testing scripts to test WebServices. Users just need to load WSDL address, and get all the methods it has posted, submit variables and get a result. It saves lot of testing time. It can test both REST and SOAP API services. It provides output in XML format. Smartbear team is always available for training or other help.
CONSUI of the tool should be improved and error display should be more descriptive for easy resolution.
