It has been so easy and our Crossbar Rep [sensitive content hidden] is so responsive and knows the system inside and out.

PROS

It is so easy to use. I like how it is a one-stop shop for us and the ability to message the customers for a specific program.

CONS

I would like for programs and schedule to be synchronized or an option to put that "program" on the facility scheduler and on the public calendar

Reason for choosing Crossbar

I do not recall the names of competitors but Crossbar stood out because they were legitimate professionals and it was made by hockey people for hockey people makes our life at a rink so much easier

Reasons for switching to Crossbar

EZFacility was outdated and WordPress was so complicated, could have been from the company we hired to set up our initial WordPress site but regardless it was so slow and too complicated to work on for me as someone who has no website experience

St. Peters Hockey Club

It has been a great experience using Crossbar and I would never use any other product.

PROS

I have used multiple software for managing our hockey club and since we implemented CrossBar in 2016 it has streamlined our operations. I train people on this software all the time and they all catch on very quickly. This is by far the best sports management software on the market!

CONS

I have no cons. It addresses all of our needs. Over the years their staff keeps up with our needs and added features that we wanted.

Reasons for switching to Crossbar

Crossbar approached us and we collaborated with them, and they created an amazing software product.

Youth Hockey Perspective

It’s been very up and down in terms of transitioning. There have been many growing pains and some critical features that are missing.

PROS

I do think that for general user the website is intuitive and user friendly so it’s been good a good change overall for our league members.

CONS

From a managements perspective, I have found it’s missing a lot of functions that we previously had that are important. We cannot track organization membership (USAH number) unless the member is a participant so parents cannot enter their USAH number. There is not an easy way to email the current membership - need to filter by current team and email.

Reasons for switching to Crossbar

CHC decision.

Good site and good support

The pros definitely outweigh the cons. I would recommend the product.

PROS

I like the fact that within 10 minutes we had a operational site with post and registrations. The costumer service during the setup process was phenomenal and they were very patient with us and our questions. The look of the site is pretty good though I wish we could customize it a bit more. The communication with the teams is very easy and can be individualized.

CONS

In the payment processing, I wish we could print/email a receipt or an invoice to give to the parents after they have paid. The only solution I was given was to take a screenshot, which is not a very professional look. There are a couple of other small things but nothing that can't be navigated around.

Reasons for switching to Crossbar

Definitely Recommend!

Switching over to crossbar has been easy and efficient thanks to the help of the crossbar team that is there to guide me. I find Crossbar to be more efficient for storing our company information and building our files all into one place.

PROS

Simple to build and organize content without the stress of designing each individual page of the website.

CONS

vocabulary of some the set content, example "Program, offer" etc is different than used to

Reasons for switching to Crossbar

Website design on wix became too frustrating and there was not enough structure with wix that made it easy to run our company.

Crossbar website review

Our experience has been very positive overall.

PROS

The crossbar website is extremely easy to set up and use from both an administrative and user perspective. It was also very eye catching and a great layout.

CONS

I wish the crossbar website had a way for families to digitally sign a document, or download and upload a document.

Reason for choosing Crossbar

Crossbar offered more features for a better price and was extremely user friendly.

Reasons for switching to Crossbar

The league athletics website wasnt as modern and was difficult to add new content.

We love it!

It’s been a great transition so far! [sensitive content hidden] has been such a great help.

PROS

Easy setup, new modern site and app, but most of all the support from our account manager has been outstanding!

CONS

So far not a ton. I do wish coaches/team managers could do a little more with managing their schedules (repeating things, cancel of home facility events).

Reasons for switching to Crossbar

Out dated, over priced, payment processing was incredibly cumbersome.

Great Solution for Club Management

The software is great. But the people are even better. Not only helped us through configuration, but we added Google Workspace for Non Profits and embed HubSpot forms for us to contact alumni, fundraise, etc. Really solid experience and our site was up in less than 10 days.

PROS

The software is built by hockey parents so it's perfect for us. Easy to set up leagues, tourneys, teams, events and schedules to keep everyone aligned.

CONS

Took a little time to figure out the structure, but once you do you can clone seasons and move seamlessly.

Reason for choosing Crossbar

Great experience with them right out of the gate.

Reasons for switching to Crossbar

Not mobile responsive, no mobile app, poor UX.

PROS

The customer service is top notch! My questions were answered quickly and I never felt like I was bothering anyone. The drop down options make it easy to set up our league.

CONS

There wasn’t anything I didn’t like. It took some time to get accustomed too but that would be the case with any program

Reason for choosing Crossbar

The demo presented to me checked all the boxes I was looking for.

Reasons for switching to Crossbar

Crossbar can save your Club time and money

PROS

Crossbar started out as a hockey-focused solution. You can still feel this purpose-built craftsmanship in the scheduling tool that's years ahead of other sports management applications. Since then, Crossbar has applied that same level of deep thinking to the payment system, team management, registration, and website building functionality. While many other companies seem to be focusing on how to raise capital or flip, Crossbar is quietly focused on making their software better and serving their customer.

CONS

Crossbar's mobile apps continue to evolve and get better versus its competitiors. The team that develops the software continues to make great progress and enhancments nearly every quarter. If there is something your Club needs, I have found asking for it can get it on a roadmap for future development.

Arrowhead Youth Hockey Association - Crossbar Review

Overall, has been great. We've had a few hiccups but the crossbar support has been exceptional.

PROS

Back end has improved time/efficiency for many officers. Clean look. We haven't got to try out tournament features yet. Hopefully some day soon.

CONS

I would like some additional features around volunteer hours to clear out/reset after a season. Some color coding for parents to apply to each team for their players. I would love to have/see a development schedule to see upcoming features. The more information available to have for the board members the better.

Reasons for switching to Crossbar

Support was terrible.

Crossbar makes life easier

Our organization recently started using the platform and it's made my tasks much easier in many ways.

PROS

Lots of the features are user friendly like the registration reporting and web page management. Updates to player accounts for payment plans is very easy to utilize. I also like that USAH # and basic contact information is built in automatically to all registrations.

CONS

I wish there was a way to track dates of offers and dates offers were declined for better record keeping. I also wish that the downloadable spreadsheet for registrations included a column for the registration age groups.

Crossbar is the backbone to a successful organization

PROS

Crossbar is critical to running our organization. It allows us to keep our members informed with all the information at their fingertips. As an administrator and scheduler, it is crucial that I have am able to easily import all practice and game schedules, make adjustments as needed, and communicate with everyone effected. Crossbar allows me to do just that, and with ease. Setting up registration, managing payment options, and organizing team rosters is also seamless in the Crossbar Dashboard.

CONS

When viewing an individual player, it sometimes takes multiple click to get to all the information about that player. Consider adding more information to the player's page.

PROS

As an organization we all made a switch to Crossbar. While challenging at first, the customer service has been great and available for all of our questions. I Ike the email to chat feature and the clean look of the home page.

CONS

The functionalities of finding overall links are challenging. Once we have tutorials it’s much is but it’s not as user friendly at first glance. Again, just a new change that we will learn and adapt to and I’m sure we will find it better than we had before.
