iManage is the premier DMS
The support is 2nd to none - they are always helpful and quick to reply, as well as the software works fantastic
PROSOnce iManage is setup, it works. Especially the cloud format. It allows the storage and tracking of documents with easy and powerful search tools
CONSOccasionally the import tools can be a bit finicky. Also as most clients are changing from on prem to cloud based solution you are less in control of the back end data to correct issues

iManage WorkSite Review
It is a good product. Most law firms use it. The product is designed to center around laws industry. It does a decent job at its core functions (that other free software does just as well or better).
PROSCentralized Document Management System 1)Ease of use 2)Reliable 3)Search function is really great. 4)It adheres to traditional Microsoft standards such as: fact-dump documentation with no coherent story or 'best practices' information, inability to automate common tasks, intentional obfuscation of its basic operations.
CONS1)Expensive 2)limitation on customization 3)There are about a dozen different config files to maintain, and the most important one is dynamically modified by Autonomy itself while it runs. Which means that it is impossible to automate the configuration or keep the configs in versioned source control. Even `cp *.cfg ~/cfgbak/` won't help you roll back a change, because it is never safe to restore a previous config. You'll be using `diff new.cfg old.cfg` a lot. 4)Many features are poorly documented, leading to lots of back and forth with the support department just to answer basic questions like "what does this error code in my logs signify?"

Painful and slow system
Very poor. Slows down work processes and productivity will take a hit. If people are frustrated with using the tool, they will likely stop using it. Features are great if latency can be improved. If not, this thing may deter and disengage your workforce.
PROSIn theory, all the information an organization.l needs can be filed and stored. This safeguards intellectual property and is pretty critical.
CONSIt is slow. Cloud-based shouldn’t mean incredible latency when opening, saving, filing or sending documents. The latency for this product is poor. When fully integrated with outlook and other tools, this poor latency means that simple day-to-day tasks take much longer and many more clicks. As a result, people are likely to avoid using the product because it makes work processes so much more inefficient. The product also hangs, lags, freezes and crashes quite a bit, smart searches and indexing don’t work well at all and we’re on the latest version. Overall, it’s a disaster in terms of usability and productivity. However, if you’re ok with moving and working very slowly, it’s a great place to store information.

iManage - Finnicky, Yet Powerful
I like that iManage WorkSite virtually has no capacity limit. It is ultra convenient to store all documents and files in one secure place, and I know I can easily find very old documents.
CONSThe learning curve is steep when learning to use iManage. It has several powerful features, but knowing how to use same can take a while. The accesses can be wider as well - for instance, it would be most helpful if we could rename the titles of subfolders created by someone else. Not being able to do so creates disorganization and duplication of subfolders. I would also like to see improvement in the check-in/check-out features, as they work well with some document formats (e.g. Word), and less with others (e.g. Excel). Lastly, it would be great to have .zip folders supported by iManage.

iManage Work review
I love that it now seamlessly connects with Closing Folders and provides for excellent integration. As a solicitor, this is critical in reducing time spent managing hundreds of documents for a transaction, increasing efficiency and reducing the ability to make errors.
CONSThe search function via Outlook can be improved somewhat, although I find the documents I am looking for most of the time.

iManage is capable of being 508 Compliant - with work
We use it on a daily basis and it has retained much of it's accessibility properties.
PROSWe are able to make iManage work for screen reader users using a lot of customization. Still it is clunky to use.
CONSThere are a lot of ways to do things in iManage. It generally is good but there is not a lot of good support, particularly for making the software accessible under the ADA/508

It's alright, but added glitchiness to our system
It's been ok. The platform hasn't synced perfectly with our existing software and it's making life a bit harder. This is more so a firm issue than an iManage issue.

Easy and straight forward
Very easy to use. The interface on the admin and user sites are very clear. OK for a small company but don't know if it would work for a large organisation.
PROSVery easy to use. Very clean looking. Never had any problems with the system operating.
CONSWe never used the software to it's full potential as it was always intended to be a temporary short term solution. We could not find a way to get maintenance reports on it. This would have been a good feature for us.

Complex and glitchy document management software
Necessary evil. A massive firm needs a solid document management system and this accomplished the goal. I wish it was not as complex.
PROSThis stores documents and creates consistency across a massive organization. Documents can be saved in many versions and easily sent as links.
CONSThis software is very glitchy and feels labyrinth like when navigating. The software often crashes and occasionally wipes documents.

Overall I would recommend. This is my first year owning a company and having to perform payroll. After completing my year end taxes and having my accountant review, I can say I am very satisfied.
PROSVery helpful staff. Product performs as expected. Company can perform multi-state payroll for individual employee (which is why I purchased).
CONSEven though this is a good product that perform multiple functions, there is still a need to closely monitor. Have had a few mishaps (which the company cleared up and corrected immediately).
