PROS

I enjoy the ease of use in the admin section commerce build provides. I am able to access up to the min site information to include visits, log in's and purchases. The assistance is great from the team and easily accessible through the admin portal on the site.

CONS

In the beginning things where slow to get started and the training could have been provided better. In the future a power point or video training to new customers I would recommend

Wishing for AccPac and the old webstore

We are not satisfied with it, it has not proven itself yet.The salesman was all energy and commitment until the sale was done, NEVER heard from him again after the sale was completed. No follow up of any kind.The first consultant did not know how to listen, was constantly pushing his own ideas through.

PROS

What we were told the system could do for us, and what it actually does are not the same.On our old system we were able to broadcast a seasonal pre-book list out, this was clearly communicated as a requirement. Between Sage 300 and Commercebuild we have never been able to create an internal prebook list, to be sent to our customers, nor can we have one set up internally for order entry as per the prebook price list.

CONS

Orders that are placed are not sorted /forwarded to each sales rep, We cannot do a group email blast witha specific price list for bookings, there is no option for an "alternative price list, like there wasx

Reason for choosing commercebuild

ComputorWorks gives us great support, and if it was not for him we would have moved to another program of some sort.

Reasons for switching to commercebuild

Our old system was no longer supported (AccPac/Adagio) and we thought it would be better to upgrade and have a better product with more possibilities.The contrary came true, we have less options now than what we had before with good old AccPac and Virtual Vendor.

Great product and people

Commercebuild has been fantastic. They have worked with us and listened to our needs and wishes. The support team has been great and they've bent over backwards to help us implement and resolve any issues we've had. They help make my job easier and the website running smooth.

PROS

The customer service is excellent. The support team is very responsive. The backend can be very user friendly or if you are more tech savvy there are plenty of options to customize and apply your own CSS and Javascript.

CONS

I would like to see the UX updated on the back end and the checkout pages. I would also like more types of reports.

Post implementation support is first class!

We could not recommend commercebuild enough to anyone looking to revamp its website and implement an e-commerce option.

PROS

We chose commercebuild from a long sheet of vendors that we selected. We desperately needed to revamp our website and implement a shopping component to it. From initiation to completion, commercebuild kept us on schedule and on budget. For those things that were not covered in the budget, commercebuild was up front and clear about any incremental costs, so we felt as if there were no hidden fees. However, commercebuild's true strength is in its after market support. It's Customer Service team is unparalleled! If we run into an issue, one email and we get a response within an hour, if not, within minutes. Most of the time, the issue itself is resolved within the day. We might have had one or two projects/issues that took more time, but none that hindered our business in any material manner. Commercebuild Customer Support team is truly amazing! Even if there are limitations to the site (on the rare occasion), the team will help to brain storm alternative solutions, so they end up acting as true partners/consultants to our website. Of course, commercebuild was not the cheapest vendor that we were considering. They were in the mid-range of vendors, which we were targeting because I often believe you do get what you pay for. What I can say without doubt is that commercebuild is the very BEST value for money one can find.

CONS

From time to time, we will have an idea for our website that is not possible to execute due to the limitations of the website. For example, we wanted a particular font to be on the tool bar but it could not be added to the site. However, the commercebuild team helped us to build around its site so that we were able to ultimately get the font we requested.

Reasons for switching to commercebuild

We needed greater flexibility and functionality, in addition, to being able to create a user friendly site for maintanence.
