First Class Product & Customer Service
We have taken a person who previously spent 100% of their time keying invoices and been able to utilize them in much more value-added areas within the accounting department. When you see the first invoice from API-Centreviews and realize that they keyed 800 or 900 invoices on your behalf (and then wrote all the checks for those invoices) and how much time that would have taken your employee it's dumbfounding. API not only does things faster, but their system increases security and record retention simplicity.
PROSImplementation flowed smooth and quick as we had a dedicated project manager who took us through the process. The web-based system is easy to use and took minimal training for our various users to get up to speed even though they're in various offices. Customer service is US based and always very responsive when we need support. The added security/approval levels the system provides is much better than any in-house paper routing system we could have come up with. It's much easier to find an invoice now with everything on-line in a PDF than before where we had to track down the paper copy in a file or on someones desk (which may be in your building/location or may not be!).
CONSThey have a few canned charts for reporting that don't appear to provide much benefit. With some tweaks they would be very useful but there is no option to edit the data for the charts at the current time. We have a 1-to-1 GL account name to account number structure yet we still have to pick the GL number from a drop down list after we select the account name. Seems redundant.

Centreviews
I like that all invoices are easily accessible and it is super easy to find them. It is nice to have them all in one place. I also like that you can search and pull out data to see how many invoices are in everyone's query, that way you can pull a report every week to make sure the payments get done on time that week.
CONSOne thing I have been noticing is that some invoices have been missing. What I mean by this is in Centreviews they say that they reached the end, however in NAV they dint show up even without errors. I do think that is more of a NAV problem than a Centreviews problem.

Needs an upgrade
It is easy to find the data that has been uploaded to CV.
CONSI wish the software had more automation and ability to upload data (like GL account coding for multiple lines of expense coding per invoice)

Good Overall
This system allows invoices to be approved and routed across departments as well as different plants. You no longer have to be physically handling everything. It also allows your documents to be easily sorted after payment.
CONSWhen you are coding invoices, there could be better ease of movement between fields. It tends to be very resistant to you selecting a different box other than the one the system has determined to be next.

Administrative Functions
my review is based on what I do not like and what I believe needs to be improved for future use
CONSThe administrative functions are a bit clunky. I don't believe the app was designed with the admin in mind. It's very time consuming when you have to assign or reassign users to locations and approval levels. The app needs the ability to delegate approvals while on LOA. Provisioning a new user requires too many steps.

CentreViews from Accountant perspective
it has been nice, but there can be improvement in Viewing, sorting, availability and updates
PROSI love how things are grouped and categorized. Viewing is simple and easy to look at understand. The filters need help.. the "Last" tab shows but you can also tab at the bottom.. Kind of redundant.
CONSThe system doesn't seem to be always updated. Sometimes I am looking for information and it has not been updated in the system.

Centreviews API Great for AR Processing Between Different ERP Systems
Awesome, the product is great and the support is great!
PROSEasy to use and easy to train users on. Works with a wide variety of ERP systems and formats.
CONSSometimes it can be hard to troubleshoot issues with files not getting pushed/processed. This isn't usually a big issue since Centreviews has great support who will work through the issue with us in realtime.

It's been a great experience, the software works great and is easy to use and the customer service is fantastic. We have had a great experience with Centreviews and would highly recommend to anybody.
PROSThe timeliness with which the invoices are entered and show up to the proper locations for approval. The ease of the system, it is very user friendly for both data entry and approval as well as being able to see the overview of where all the invoices are currently located throughout the process.
CONSSome of the reports available can be a little confusing.

Excellent Customer Service
It is easy to move invoices through the que's and easy to get new que's set up. It is very adaptive to needs.
CONSThere a still a lot of manual steps that need taken in order to process an invoice. Does not allow for surcharges.

Timing is always the issue
I have had great experience with Centerviews when all information is available and find that our customers appreciate the layout of their invoices.
PROSI love being able to get Co-op invoices with required notarized documents from Centerviews.
CONSThe one and only feature that I have a real issue with is the timing to get all information into the system so final documents are ready for the customers deadlines. I find the upload process from our system to the final product in Centerviews is very lengthy.

Centerview - Perfect AP Portal software
It's a friendly user portal. Easy to navigate. Their customer support is outstanding.

Streamlined workflow for user
Centreviews makes my experience with invoicing seamless and unobtrusive to my day-to-day workflow. It is much easier and less time invasive than paper billing coding and workflows that were pervasive before wider adoption in the company.
PROSAs a user who gets lots of consistent billing it is great to preconfigure fields so that the approval process is quick. It lets me get invoices done quickly so I can get back to the other demands.
CONSI wish it was possible to set preconfigured fields via the user portal instead of having to update with support.

Easy way to pay invoices
It is a nice tool to have to allow you to look back at previous invoice history with vendors and as well route invoices to other departments that may go to the wrong queue initially.
PROSI like that our vendors can send directly to this system and I will be alerted to pay an invoice to make sure it gets paid on time and coded correctly.
CONSSometimes it is difficult to view the whole invoice within the screen to get the details and I have to download it and open it up outside the program.

Needs improvement
Centreviews is better than processing and coding invoices manually.
CONSNo ease of function. You can't drag cells down, even if the entire column needs to be the same info. You need to click through EVERY cell to change something. WHY??? When an invoice is in resolution, you need to correct it and then it goes back to approvals? WHY do I need to touch the same invoice twice? Give me the ability to approve it while in resolution.

Simple to Use
Simple to use. When it's simple I can knock it out quickly instead of avoiding it and things piling up.
PROSPlatform is easy to navigate and intuitive to use. If you make an error, it tells you what was missed so you can quickly correct it instead of guessing and checking.
CONSSome entries are preformated incorrectly and I have to clear them and do them over every time but this could be an internal set-up issue.

It has been a great experience so far, very good customer service quick response time with issues, help with problem solving. I like the pop ups to make sure when you are finalizing something it can help protect a mistake.
PROSIt is an easy to use system, as long as your company data is fed in correctly.
CONSI like least Toggling between screens and having to go back into a form to find what you need.

Not a fan of Rejection process
I like that all invoices are available to see. I like that there are a lot of reports available, i just am not sure of how to properly run them
CONSthe rejection process. ive noticed that i will get invoices that i have rejected, i put who they should be redirected to and for what location, somehow they still end up in my list of approvals .

Great Overall Experience with Centreviews
My company has been using Centreviews (API) for several years and it has helped us greatly to consolidate our Accounts Payable functions. We now have all of our invoices in one location to make research and accruals easier. The customer service has always been great and they respond to any issues immediately. The website is user friendly and there are many reports that we run on a monthly basis to facilitate our period close process. I would recommend Centreviews for any company wishing to streamline their Accounts Payable process.
