AutoCAD is very easy and friendly in use, there is very easy command in AutoCAD which I love the most.

There is a problem of not having all the fonts available when downloading the program and the need to download other fonts separately in order to open some layouts, especially for Arabic fonts.

Its most important positive feature is ease of use and speed of learning by memorizing and understanding shortcuts.

I enjoy drawing in 2D and 3D and I especially enjoy creating building plans and this software is excellent for these purposes.

The software keys getting better and easier to use with multiple ways to use the software (online, desktop, mobile). The price can be prohibitive for those who only have occasional usage like myself.

I experienced program crash on my computer sometimes and it leads data&time loss for user.

Not a free version for small business or discounted price. Always auto-save problem and lost projects.

The biggest disadvantage of AutoCAD is that it comes with a lot of problems, which is to be expected from a tool that can do so much. It seems reasonable to me.

Referencing, importing and working with different disciplines is fine. A lot of good aspects of AutoCAD were carried over into the Civil 3D.

Ability to quickly create 3D corridors when the geometry is relatively easy. 3D outputs (solids) are easy to work with for clash detection etc.

Thorough knowledge in software is a must, and likely learning by oneself used to be tough.

It's commonly used civil engineering program. It's very user friendly and easy to understand.

When compared to more conventional techniques, Civil 3D's dynamic modelling capabilities allow you to make modifications to your designs in real-time, which can save a great deal of time and work.

I have observed some problem while making triangulation.

A computer with less than 8GB of random access memory (RAM) will be difficult to use. Lack of compatibility with non-Autodesk software is also an issue.

There was  many error messages in the 2013 version and It makes meaningless these messages. As well as, in this version there is an issue with google maps transferring.

From the ability to create surface models, alignments, corridors, dynamically change designs... there are plenty of reasons to love Civil 3D.

Importing inputs, editing and setting capabilities, very user friendly, 3D and 2D display of the design, amazing in creating assemblies and daylights/side slops, having four work spaces.

A very robust software with a lot of features and functions that can help develop civil and survey related projects.

Large survey files eat up the memory and makes it difficult to move on at times. Civil 3D lacks the Enterprise Industry Models.

In addition, everything has all the features of the already traditional and renowned autocad, using the fusion of two great tools.

It will be difficult to use for someone who is interacting with it for the first time.

Civil 3D has a tendency to crash while working in it, even with files of smaller sizes.

In my past organisation, I have used this software for modelling. I liked the interface and user friendly input module for designing as compared to MX Road.

It's expensive and there is no option to buy this program. You can subscribe instead of buying.

So far it has been good. With the guidance of my teacher I am able to navigate through my drawings easily.
