Pros

If you have a larger firm where you need to utilize multiple remote desktop applications, RDM can be useful for tracking various computer access information.

Cons

There is no integrated remote desktop interface, which is why we initially acquired the software. It isn't that useful for smaller companies that already use one remote desktop application.

I switched to Remote Desktop Manager several months ago, and it's easy to use configuration and setup made it my primary choice for remote support when I need assistance.

Cons

I had to reinstall the program once as it kept dropping the connection, even when we were both online. After the reinstall it's been working fine.

like the ease of use with the product. Most common features are easy to use and easy to find. Seems to be very reliable at this point.

Cons

Wish a couple more features (audit trail, activity log) were available with the free addition, but i suppose they have to entice you to purchase it somehow!

Will likely be upgrading to a paid version in the near future.

Pros

We've been testing out several RDM solutions over the past year to try and determine which option is the best. Devolutions Remote Desktop Manager is simple to use, and the ability to store the connection details in one location is incredibly helpful!

Cons

I've been using the free version for almost a year to compare it to other programs. I find that, on startup, it can be resource intensive where others load up much faster. After startup is completed it seems to run fine.

Pros

The biggest feature for me regarding Remote Desktop Manager is the ability to manage multiple connections through one interface.

Cons

It slows down my computer (system resource heavy) and the user interface is very daunting. If the interface was cleaned up a bit I think it would improve navigation.

Love this software!

Pros

The pros are many. I will start with the fact I am tracking my sales calls with appointment check-ins. It has a Google My Business integration which is a must have for me. It has sales territory assignments. Followup and scheduling are available. For the extra service, I can get GPS tracking and for the best value for my money, I can record my calls and have text messaging.

Cons

Chat routing automatically to Facebook. I would much rather it be a stand alone product with the ability to chat within the site.

Each update expands the services and features of the application.

Cons

The application does not remember the size of its window
If you open many sessions it will consume a lot of RAM

Pros

Easy to create a library of all of your computers. You can save admin credentials so it's easy to just double click on the computer and log in without having to type in your credentials each time.

Cons

Logs in to each computer via RDP so only one user can see the session at a time. This is best used on-site as this can be a security issue using this software to log in from outside of your agency.

I love that its easy to access by searching "remote" in the windows search bar. it launches flawlessly and will redirect local printers for use on the remote side. We have many users that use remote solely at their work stations and its very easy for unexperienced users to nagivate and figure out. I love that you can add multiple remote shortcuts on each computer so that many people can log on to their on RDP

Cons

i guess one of the things that makes it a little more challenging for new users is when it holds the prior users name in the log in box but other than that is great.

I came across Remote Desktop Manager in my search to find a better solution to what was becoming a time intensive process of updating, managing and remoting into what was growing to be a substantially large number of various types of connections.

After testing several different remote management platforms with great disappointment, I finally found Remote Desktop Manager and have never looked back. I have been using it for over 5 years now. Not only do I use it to manage all my connections but I can use it in a well laid out platform.

Pros

I can quite literally remote into a crazy amount of connection environments all within under a minute if I want to as well as a specific connection environment along with its specific VPN connection dynamically if I want without having to connect to that groups VPN first.

Remoting like a boss isn’t the only plus to their platform. They have an extensive amount of tool sets one can use within each connection environment to use such as macros, scripts, management tools, command line tools, sub connections, logs and many others. The list of additional functionality is greater than one would be able to leave in a review.

Cons

The only cons I have come across over the years were there were a few times I found the version for Mac OS to be a little buggy but that was resolved timely and it didn’t affect the actual functionality of the software.

Also, some of the macro and script help documentation could have been a little more detailed. However, the help documentation pertaining to this could have very well been updated since the time I needed further clarification which was when I first started using it. I have not needed to use it since that time now that I understand how to configure the macros and scripts within the software.

Every now and then, a piece of software comes along that genuinely saves time and makes things easier. Remote Desktop Manager is absolutely one of these products. I've been using RDM for many years and it's my single go-to application for managing not just remote desktops, but SFTP connections, cloud resources, online applications, printers and more. It's very customisable. The product has many built in connection types, but you can also create your own with scripts and chain commands together.

Cons

There's very little I'd say I dislike. The program isn't the fastest to load, but I spend all day within its user interface so it's not something I experience often.

Easy access to managed systems and services.

Pros

The wide support for systems/tunneling/protols/services is just breathtaking. On-prem servers (windows, linux), hypervisors (vmware, hyper-v, Xen and more), cloud storage services (dropbox, google drive, amazon S3, azure blobs), systems only reachable using VPN, no problem!

Cons

Its hard to find negatives, but there are some annoyances, sometimes managed systems disappears from the taskbar-icon making switching back to a system harder than it should have to be.

Pros

The fast and minimized access in several thumbnail screens to the naked eye to easily see which processes or configurations are being done in servers and machines in a quick and easy way, in this way you can have more control of the equipment of several companies with just create work groups. It is managed in a centralized console because it can be organized and configured fast access to equipment
