Excellent company with easy to use booking system

A very friendly and competent company with a product I would recommend to any hospitality/hotel company

PROS

There ability to teach and use the system they provide which can be adapted for different products and services and the excellent customer service

CONS

There is nothing negative to say regarding Caterbooks especially when the mobile service comes out.

Love Caterbook

Our overall experience with Caterbook has been a great one. Haven’t had any real problems and any small issues I’ve had, are always resolved by calling the customer service phone number. Excellent service all round!

PROS

The customer service is excellent. Unlike other providers, you can call a UK number (Monday to Friday)and speak to the same operatives time and time again, who are extremely pleasant, efficient and helpful. Even at weekends if you have a problem, you can call and leave your number and they always call you back promptly. The initial setup was made so easy, and [sensitive content hidden] did everything she could to make it an easy transition from our last channel manager.

CONS

It’s not 100% useable on mobile phones so we’ve had to buy an iPad with data roaming which we take with us when out of the office.

My brother uses Caterbook and highly recommended it. We choose it because of the customer service options and ease of use.

Reasons for switching to Caterbook

If you didn’t know how do do something or there was an error you had an extremely long winded email process to go though and problems took days not minutes to resolve.

Great all round software for hotel management

PROS

Caterbook is overall easy to use and great for reception teams. The support service is superb with minimal wait times for assistance and queries.

CONS

Nothing in particular. As with all software it has its niggles, but nothing that effects day to day operation.

Caterbook is great value

Weve used caterbook for 7yrs and super happy with it. Great knowledgeable support team. They are also open to changevrequests or additions to system abilities.

Perfect for our needs

PROS

The ease of making a booking plus the calender is good on an Ipad . I also love the facility to increase the percentage pricing of OTA`s over your own website prices

CONS

I`m not a big fan of their booking portal which the customer sees on our website , not particularly user friendly to other systems i`ve seen

A small hotel and Caterbook

Very positive in that even those staff members with little reception experience were able to learn to use the system quickly. In effect it meant that reception was functional 24/7.

PROS

Ease of use. Excellent on line manual and very good support when needed. A full and seamless integration with our epos tills.

CONS

There was nothing to dislike about Caterbook. It did everything that was promised.

Caterbook is based in the UK, they offer excellent assistance, a safe and good payment gateway and the team behind Caterbook were known to us from our previous channel manager.

Caterpay great product

Our overall experience of dealing with caterbook is excellent. From when we 1st enquired up to the level of support we get is fantastic. And the software itself is great and easy to navigate.

PROS

The software has a whole host of feature which our hotel benefits from. We have used other booking systems before and they had information overload and too many features. Caterpay benefits our needs as a 20 bed hotel .

CONS

I cant say i dont lile anything about the software. I am yet to find fault

Cost was the main factor and the Rezlynx had to many feature that we didnt need. And their support was not the best

Caterbook - Great!

A massively beneficial set of tools a true benefit for any hotel :)

PROS

First of all let me compliment the support team at Caterbook, they have detailed guides within the system to make most things easy but are quick to respond to any issues you might have which escape you! Always prepared to help and always have such a lovely manner! Caterbook is a essential tool for our hotel and we use it constantly, it makes bookings easy to manage and process, keeps our workflow for our other business easy to manage by extension! Simple system with efficent tools and great support!

CONS

We would love to see an app! The team assure me it is in development but even better mobile support work be of benefit for us here, a quick mention of rate management too which we would like to see have more dynamic pricing tools but overall we find extremely little to complain about!

Great all round hotel reservation software

Amazing from the very beginning

PROS

Easy to read booking calendar. Fast input of new direct bookings. Integrated payment is quick and easy to use. Links with all major OTA's for increased exposure. Support from caterbook is quick from the very beginning. Occupancy reports and RevPAR stats are quick to produce

CONS

Every property is different but we personally don't like the housekeeping reports, its not a deal breaker though, just had to adjust our front desk procedures

The Ideal System for Us

I spent a lot of time researching options when we decided to upgrade our booking system. Caterbook came with a ringing endorsement from another operator and now I can see why! I’m so pleased we chose Caterbook as it’s been a great experience right from the start, and the migration from the old system was seamless. It’s definitely the most user friendly booking system I have ever used and so easy to learn. I’ve been really happy with the service we’ve received from the excellent support team. They are always available, very responsive to our numerous questions and willing to listen and make adjustments to suit our needs. We’re a busy pub with 14 hotel bedrooms and we needed an easy to use booking system, which could integrate with our tills, and didn’t require an IT degree to operate it! Most importantly, we wanted it to be simple and straightforward for our customers to use. The Caterbook system ticks all of these boxes for us. We’re able to spend our time front of house with guests, not in the office trying to manage hotel bookings. I’d definitely recommend it.

PROS

The move from our old system was seamless. It’s a user friendly booking system and so straightforward to learn how to operate effectively. Most importantly, it’s also very intuitive and simple for our customers to use.

CONS

There’s nothing I dislike about this software.

Easy to use and always excellent support if its ever needed!

Really easy to use, quick to add or locate bookings. There have been occasions when i just cannot get something to work and i have to say that the team are fantastic, so helpful and always ensure a resolve is in place.

PROS

Caterbook is exceptionally user friendly and easy to use. When i first started in my role i was required to learn two booking systems (one for rooms and another for restaurant) and i have to say that i took to Caterbook immediately. I like how easy the portal is to navigate and how simple it is to book a room, especially when you are busy you want something that is a smooth process to follow.

CONS

As i use the system daily, i have yet to come across any real improvements or things which i feel will make bookings any easier than they are.

From inception to present day still amazing

We have used caterbook for over 9 years and have always been totally satisfied with both the product and the incredible service offered by [sensitive content hidden] and the team Always helpful when required nothing is ever too much trouble for them Although having said that we hardly ever have to ask for help as the software is so stable and so easy to use We would highly recommend Caterbook as a very beneficial and productive tool for any forward thinking business It’s like having another pair of hands Shuni Davies

Caterbook as an end user

We're very happy!

PROS

Caterbook is a very well specced and designed application which integrates well with OTA's and company processes alike. For a small to medium business it offers all the functionality you could ask for, with the ability to create bespoke promotions and templates easily. The customer service, however, is what makes Caterbook special - nothing is too difficult or too much trouble and they go the extra mile to ensure satisfaction.

CONS

Nothing major - we've not encountered an issue that hasn't been resolved.

Amazing, would recommend ten times over!

Creating bookings, financing payments etc are all so easy.

CONS

Integrating with Mr and Mrs Smith would be amazing although hopefully that might be coming soon?!
