Roll-out of mentoring program across the NRM (Natural Resource Management) sector in Queensland
Our overall experience has been excellent. Brancher have been flexible in their approach and have gone out of their way to understand some of the unique challenges in rolling out the mentoring program across our sector (made up of 11 individual regional NRM organisations located all across Queensland). The use of the matching algorithm, portal, email reminders, and progress tracking have provided confidence in the mentoring experience for us.
PROSWe liked the fact that it can be delivered online and is supported by a portal that is easily accessed and shared between the mentee and mentor. Brancher have been very responsive in dealing with any technical teething problems for our participants. Brancher has also been very happy to customise some of the delivery by understanding and respecting the unique geographic challenges and capacity issues faced by some of our member organisations.
CONSThere was some initial challenges with getting everyone on and updating things in the portal. The diary setting process did not work so smoothly for everyone (which then impacted on reporting) but Brancher has been proactive in looking to improve this function.

I have only had positive experiences in dealing with the Brancher team and am happy to recommend Brancher to others.
PROSThe platform was easy to use, and the expertise provided by [sensitive content hidden] supported the entire process. Brancher enabled me to connect with HR professionals seeking similar career outcomes. I built a mentoring relationship with a HR professional who possesses the skillsets and experiences that I have been fortunate enough to leverage. Our mentoring relationship has continued post the formal mentoring program that Brancher originally provided.
CONSThere were some minor technicalities when it came to making bookings in the platform, however the Brancher team were very responsive to the feedback provided and continually work to improve the user experience.

Positive, had some issues with the Mentor accepting process but that was her end because she had already accepted another mentee request but was resolved by support.
PROSThe way it uses AI to find the best mentor for you at a particular point in time based on the questions answered.
CONSTimezones not being Australian and the way this impacts and shows in your outlook calendar.

Easy to use and Inspirational
I already feel better about my futrue, knowing that this is here to help. That I can speak to a mentor about one particular issue and then go on to another mentor to tackle another issue. I'm excited about the future.
PROSThe idea of it, the implementation of it. I thought it would be fantastic and was proven correct!
CONSThat I haven't got a mentor yet. This, however, is my fault and I need to reach out to another recommended mentor.
