AA gives you the ability to do just about anything...

ACGI makes it a priority to understand the perspectives of clients. They regularly solve problems in creative ways. It's evident that the ACGI team collaborates internally and that they're quick to bring in staff with specialized knowledge or skills as needed. They add a personal touch to customer support and get to know clients very well. Tickets are going to team members we interact with regularly. ACGI makes it clear that our goals are important to them. Most technology companies wouldn't do this, but I know that ACGI will actually discourage clients from customizations that they don't think will ultimately benefit the organization.

PROS

The great thing about the platform from ACGI is that when we need certain functionality it's often already in the system. Otherwise, we can utilize proven integrations.

CONS

Because the software can do just about anything, there's a lot to learn. You can't have an admin on auto-pilot. You will get the most out of it by attending training, going to their biannual event, going to the user's group, otherwise you will probably leave some value on the table. You can't figure it out in a day.

ACGI

With ACGI we have one system that can be used in many different ways. There's a lot of flexibility to configure Association Anywhere to fit our needs so that customizations aren't needed. The team at ACGI demonstrates their dedication on an ongoing basis and assign us the right people and resources to ensure our success. The people there care.

PROS

We used to have this invoicing process that would take us weeks to prepare for; now with Association Anywhere it's done in one day. Also, by now being able to accept online payments, our staff saves an incredible amount of time where they used to have to key in checks or accept payments over the phone. Additionally, our accreditation side used to keep massive spreadsheets about where applicants are in the process. Now that's all tracked in ACGI. I'm convinced that the ACGI system has a lot to offer that we just haven't taken advantage of yet as an organization.

CONS

This is not entirely ACGI's fault, but the implementation process was a challenge as we wanted to roll out five instances of their system for our entities all at one time.

Good base product, but requires skilled staff to make it customer-friendly

PROS

AA is very customizable and has a lot of functionality.

CONS

Configuring the software to be customer-friendly requires high-level staff that is experienced in writing code. Most associations don't have that kind of expertise on staff. I feel the software should already come with nice formatting (especially SSA and invoices). It should also include renewal invoices instead of forcing the customer to either have ACGI write a specialized report or use mail merge. The mail merge process is clunky and time-consuming because of so many steps. SSA can be vastly improved in both UX and functionality. There are way too many screens the customer has to navigate in order to complete a purchase. Most of the old (non-APEX) reports don't work and should be updated or removed. The fields available in AA reporting are very limited, which forces us to go out to BOXI. Instead of referring to the AHR table, we should have full access to the fields available in the module for which we are pulling data.

it had the most functionality and we can write our own reports. however, during implementation, we were asked to provide fields for the AHR view but didn't realize the importance of it at the time. Looking back, I would have chosen different fields, but we can't modify that table now.

Multi-tenanted user of Association Anywhere.

We have a certain synergy with ACGI because we have similar cultures and values. The team there is professional, transparent, and responsive.These characteristics help to create an atmosphere of trust. ACGI is easy to work with, and I feel comfortable visiting their offices, like it's an extension of our own and not a place where I'm intruding. They consistently look for ways for us to use the system better and how to get more out of it. They're not looking for an excuse to try to sell us something else. Their bi-annual users group conference is an excellent event called Knowledge Days. I highly recommend "KDays" to others for its valuable content and the ability to network with peers and ACGI staff.

PROS

CGI's Association Anywhere gives our organization the ability to accomplish and complete complex tasks and processes. The system is flexible enough that we are able to develop solutions from the platform that are unique to us. In my opinion other association management systems can't measure up to its capabilities.

CONS

Issue resolution can be time consuming and expensive- need to stay on top of reported issues.

ACGI: A True Partner

One of the ways that ACGI stands out is that they really listen to understand goals and challenges before responding. Because of this kind of approach, they automated a certain manual process that had been time-consuming for staff. This enabled us and put us in a position to significantly grow chapter memberships. ACGI has a vision for where they're taking the platform, and I look forward to seeing what else they develop that will help our staff do their jobs better and focus more on member needs. ACGI is a valued partner and not simply a vendor who sold us a product. They've consistently demonstrated that they're invested in our success.

PROS

Clearly ACGI designed their AMS with busy association executives like me as a focus and priority. The point is that with their system I can readily and quickly get to information I'm looking for. I also like that ACGI has a support site that is user-friendly.

CONS

As a nonprofit organization with a tight budget and often-changing needs, it is expensive to add or tweak functionality that differs from their base product.

ACGI Association Anywhere Excellence

The size of ACGI and their culture creates an environment where executives and senior management are easy to approach. They take time to understand clients' questions, concerns, and needs. I also feel like they openly share about the roadmap for the product so I can have confidence in their vision. They have an eye to the future and readily adapt the platform to emerging trends with technology.

PROS

While the system is customizable, it has a great amount of flexibility so that a lot of customizations are not necessary. The off-the-shelf technology of Association Anywhere meets most of our needs. Also, the user experience is clearly important to the company- both for team members in the back office and for members of the association as they engage through a website.

CONS

As with any technology we are using now, the costs are always a concern but weighed with the value it's part of the cost of doing business these days.

Association Anywhere - Functional Software for Association Mgmt

PROS

Association Anywhere allows us to organize and maintain our membership as well as our annual conference, which is great. It utilizes a cloud based system, so accessing our data is never an issue.

CONS

Takes some time to navigate. Users need to be semi tech savvy to use.

PROS

Association Anywhere is one of the best membership management software with a great price to features and performance ratio.

CONS

Association Anywhere do not offer a neither monthly or pay-as-you-go based subscription option which is definitely required.

Great Product

PROS

I don't work 100% in this program, however it helps me to compare our third party system with address, contact information, and payments. For us it is a trusted database and helpful for cultivating donation relationships.

CONS

There are time when the server is really slow due to how many people we have in our database.
