Very comprehensive monitoring metrics and good summary charts, trend graphs

Helped us to monitor our WAN and route/switch infrastructure. Level of metrics, UI zoom filter and in-built Netflow analysis allowed us to troubleshoot performance issues easily. We created few mini dashboards and display them on NOC - and folks are happy to see overall health. We are able to quickly detect issues and minimize downtimes or network widespread impacts as much as possible

PROS

Lot of deep device performance metrics - including disk, environmentals Easy to spot over subscribed circuit links using the Top-10 graphs Custom dashboards allowed us to create a daily view of WAN circuits status Helped to easily connect to 2 of our remote sites

CONS

Not really a con - would be good if the product has chatbot integration to send messages to our IT staff

Rapid on-boarding of remote sites with VPN-less approach. Agentless monitoring of Server OS

It was great for us rapidly onboard all our remote sites and more than 500 server instances. Good number of metrics at network and server level. Summary widgets showing Top-10 graphs is my favorite. I used to put it on my widescreen display monitors. I was also able to create a few custom pages to show active alerts, uptime, reachability and other KPIs.

PROS

Ability to monitor and onboard remote sites quickly, without dependency on cumbersome VPN connections. We were able to 20+ sites in a matter of couple of days. Pulse provided option to monitor all our Servers/Operating Systems without using agents - and that was a huge plus for us, so that we didn’t had to go and touch each and every server. We had to monitor a 3rd party storage device (Ex: HP/3-Par) that was not in compatibility matrix, but Pulse team was able to add support for this device. Network device configuration backup is another great little add-on that gave us peace of mind of having all configurations backed-up

CONS

Would be great if the product can do network configuration push.
