Best-in-class Rental Management software for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central

We can now make a better and more profitable choice on what to manufacture through the in-depth reporting available

PROS

Open Door’s Rental Management solution has been a hit since the day it went live. Users are impressed and it’s been easy for them to adapt to. We absolutely love it.

CONS

There are cheaper solutions on the market for rental asset management but they don't come close to the functionality offered with ODT Rentals and Microsoft's GAAP compliant Business Central ERP.

Reason for choosing ODT Rentals

The rental management solutions out there just didn’t have the flexibility for our industry. We now have a product that’s so flexible; we can manage any situation that comes up

ODTL Rentals add-in to Dynamics BC has made managing rentals (20 % of our retail business) much more

I am very pleased with Open Door for the system design as well as excellent support for such a complex system.

PROS

Built inside Dynamics BC. Designed from ground up for rentals, not like many other rental solutions in the market which are practically sales solutions packaged as rentals. Configurable to suit any type of rental terms. Easy to integrate with third party solutions e.g., mobile delivery and collection app

CONS

It is a very flexible and highly configurable system. However if there readymade template which could be used for quick setup, it would really help small and medium sized operations. We had to to use trial and errors to setup which rental terms would be most suitable for us. However ODT Consultants were on great. They were always on hand to help us understand how to set the system .

Review of ODT Rentals

PROS

What I really like about ODT Rentals is the ease of use. We have worked in two systems previously where some functions were carried out by only two people and these two people would get severely backlogged. In ODT Rentals, all of our people have been effectively trained and are able to take on some of the work load making it more evenly distributed through the department making our day to day processes run more efficiently.

CONS

Migrating was not easy. All of our contracts had to be entered one by one. this took an extended amount of time and resources causing delays in billing.

Great Functionality with Great Support

PROS

ODT Rentals compatibility with Dynamics Business Central made this an easy choice as there aren't many products that integrate with BC and offer the same level of functionality. Their post-sales support has been second to none.

CONS

One of the best features can also be a barrier if you're looking for a quick out of the box solution. High functionality and a solution that can be tailored to your business can be a bit daunting but Open Door has always been incredibly responsive to anything that we've needed.

The ability to integrate with a true ERP while maintaining our rental process needs made it an easy call.

ODT Rentals helped us rise to the next level

Overall this has been a great experience. We believe we have a system that will last the life of our dealership. Most software is obsolete in a year or two. We have lots of room to grow before we ever outgrow this system

ODT Rentals coupled with Business Central was a game changer for us. We are able to do things with this setup that we were using multiple systems and apps to complete before

CONS

The conversion process was difficult but that was somewhat expected. That is never a fun process.

Our old system was very outdated and they were not doing anything to modernize it.

An Excellent Rental Management Solution!

Helps to streamline business operations and accounting by having one integrated solution!

PROS

Excellent functionality. The user experience is also excellent and the documentation is outstanding. The integration with Business Central is seamless.

CONS

There are lower-cost solutions but their functionality is limited when compared to ODT Rentals.
