Can see multiple vendors at once, but reliability is not the best

Overall, it is better than other programs I've used or still have access to use, but I would like the reliability to improve.

PROS

The ability to cross reference parts from multiple vendors is critical to check pricing and availabilty.

CONS

The frequent connection interruptions from varying suppliers is frustrating, as it seems to be a weekly occurrence and the outage can last up to a couple of days at a time.

Soooooe easy to see all suppliers, inventory, and prices to immediately compare

I wish the part is not in stock but they can get it at another location, it would show the time I would receive it.

Easy to Use, Nice Features

PartsTech makes the service writing job much easier finding parts, shopping parts quickly and providing estimates quickly by showing all the vendors pricing and availability.

PROS

The catalog and ability to see several vendors makes it very easy to use, shop pricing, and add and subtract items to the cart and either submit or purchase the order. A few clicks gets the order submitted to vendor and it makes my job writing tickets much easier. Adding new vendors is very easy as long as they also using parts tech.

CONS

Sometimes I have to call the vendor to find the part needed, they can find the ones that are not fully listed in parts tech.

Seamless Integration

Have spoken with them several times and they have been helpful. It's easy to forget that they are a separate entity and it's not just part of the POS.

PROS

Seamless integration into our point of sale software. There are more vendors than we need but this integrates parts ordering seamlessly into our workflow. Previous providers did not have the same ease of integrating and required working with the IT departments at the various providers. It's easy to think it's just part of the point of sale system.

CONS

Would like to see it integrate with MARS pricing model from GM.

We love PartsTech

We love partsTech.

PROS

The software connects with our management software easily. It makes parts ordering and managing simple, so we can worry about other parts of the business. We can always go back and look at what we ordered, time we ordered, and the delivery status. We would not want to do our job without it.

CONS

Sometimes it does not show all parts that are in stock, or the pricing is off, or it will show us stuff is in stock, yet the company can no longer get it.

WE switched from Alldata manage to AutoLeap and it was the parts order system that was integrated

parts tech makes my day easier

overall, it makes my day go a lot smoother than it used to. All because it saves me TIME!

PROS

i love being able to search parts from all my vendors in one location. It also easily lets me add those parts to my estimate without having to type each one in! I can then go back and order my parts directly from the vendor without opening parts tech or making a phone call. it makes me able to handle far more than I would be able to with the average software

CONS

the only thing i do not like, is the way the descriptions of the parts i add to my work order change. Sometimes the description is completely wrong. And if you dont change it, it could seem like you are charging a customer for something you didnt do. Or that you did something without permission

Fantastic Addition to our Shop!

PROS

Partstech is extremely user friendly and truly caters to our shops needs and wants.

CONS

The software can be glitchy with integrations being slow intermittently. Often the suppliers are at fault to my understanding.

Parts Tech

Was one of the early users of the program and have been very satisfied. The way it has had most of our vendors use has made the estimation process so much easier

PROS

This software ties in nicely with my POS and allows me to write estimate completely in one program.

CONS

Occasional blip in functioning is only issue we have had.

Shop-Ware Integration

Saves time.

PROS

Integrates nicely with our SMS. Works nicely as a stand-alone product as well.

CONS

Integration with World-Pac would be nice. Overnight shipping expense management would be a nice feature. Multiple vendors with shipping from various warehouses leave us with a lot of manual orders. Getting local dealer catalogs into the system would also be a great help.

Great product for a shop of any size.

PROS

This is a great software to use from a starting new shop all the way up to a company with multiple locations.

CONS

I think that the inventory could be easier to clean up, as well as seeing repairlink integrated.

Simplified and Consolidated Things

It's been great

PROS

Just like my title, it simplified and consolidated parts procurement.

CONS

The lack of saving/naming applications, jobs, etc, is about all I can think of at the moment.

Partstech has been great for our shop overall.

We like seeing all of the available parts from all of our close suppliers.
