Would you be my NEIGHBOR.
The most I like about the nextdoor software is that you know what's going on around you.
CONSWhat I liked least about the nextdoor software is I wish there was a section for like stuff for sale.

Great neighborhood software
Perfect software to connect with people in your neighborhood. You can ask for a recommendation for a plumber, ask if anyone else heard the loud noise or why traffic is backed up on a certain road. You can advise your neighborhood that someone is going around stealing packages or just thank your neighbors for helping out. It’s a great software that’s neighborhood specific so that people aren’t on it from the next city over and that helps greatly in passing information or getting local advice.
CONSNo specific cons for this software. You have to have a moderator, which you need on any public forum.

Keeping in the know
It is nice to know what is going on around the neighborhood, both good and bad. It's helpful to know sometimes if neighbors are going through some of the same things that we are. It's also helpful for people to share info that they have about various things, whether it be someone saw a loose dog...has an outage...sees suspicious activity, etc.
CONSThe app sometimes gets clogged up with much of the same information or stuff that seems to be spam.

Great Way to Connect to Your Neighborhood!
In this world of back porches and social media, it's not as easy to connect with our neighbors. Nextdoor helps us do this. It's a fun way to catch up on what's going on in the neighborhood, swap items, help find lost pets, and encourage others.
CONSWhen using Nextdoor on mobile, it's a little too easy to heart (like) a post accidentally. I have found myself doing this a few too many times for posts or comments I wasn't too keen on but was simply reading. I think, too, the developers might consider adding more categories to the site to make posting a bit more streamlined—maybe Events, Lost Pets, etc. Also, some folks such as myself are concerned with safety, so maybe Nextdoor could do a few more things to educate users on how to stay safe on such a platform that is full of strangers.

Great resource that connects neighbors and commuinty
I really loved it and found it very helpful way to connect to my neighbors however obviously the reach is limited to only the people who want to use it so it's only effective as who's actually using it.
PROSWhat I like most is that it's a tool that can connect a community and neighbors. It allows us to talk and communicate and spread what's most important in the community what resources are available. It is a tool to allow to discuss concerns people may have. I don't believe there's anything that does the same thing out there.
CONSThe only thing I don't like is when people get off topic and start ranting and general comments become politicized. So it's not really a comment on the next door it's more on the users that I miss using it.

Basically Facebook for locals
NextDoor is like if you had a Facebook with every single person that lives near you on it. People get heated on it, but its informative.
PROSEasy to connect with your neighbors and make wide reaching posts. Message people, make comments, and react.
CONSIf you make a comment you get a notification for every other comment on that post which can absolutely flood your email

Beware if your neighbor is a COP - ACAB
Horrible. Customer support is a joke, and their privacy policies are going to get them sued, sooner or later.
PROSNextdoor is just a spying tool for real estate agents and developers. It delivers no value to users, who are the product that Nextdoor collects information about, then re-sells.

Decent Product
Overall my experience has been mediocre, I can see a lot of potential with the use of the site but it does have it's shortcomings with the pay per zip code feature that limits the amount of clients per zip code. I also have not seen any traction on the zip codes we're currently paying for so it's hard to say if it's worth continuing it.
PROSOverall the product has a lot of potential for local marketing and networking. I can see that it could be useful for potential name recognition and to get your business noticed for people who may have just moved to the area and are using this app to get referrals for local services and businesses.
CONSThe site isn't the most user friendly if you're not familiar with the system. I am pretty new to using the site so I have found it a little tricky to navigate and figure out how to create advertisements or posts for our business to try and get our name out there more. I also don't love how you have to wait for certain zip codes to be available to market in those areas. Given that we are in the smallest state in the country it is very important to get our name out there in all of the zip codes surrounding our offices so we're a little limited on doing so when a zip codes isn't available.

Connect with your Neighbours!
A great start at creating better community in our neighbourhood.
PROSLove that this is a way to get connected with my neighbourhood and stay aware of what's happening. Love the ability to ask for recommendations for quality companies for repair/household jobs. A great starting point to connect, that hopefully leads to lots more of saying hi to neighbours and a more community feel wherever you are.
CONSIt can feel a little spammy sometimes - I'm not always sure what the guidelines are, and some posts look like paid or sponsored posts, which makes it feel less community, and more like a flyer.

Nextdoor wastes my precious time
My overall experience after a week's worth of effort has been abysmal. Since others are reporting exactly the same issues, I'll likely just delete my profile and move on. Small business owners don't have time to mess around with software that doesn't function properly.
PROSI can't get it to operate well enough to know what might be good about it. I set this up upon the encouragement of others in my local area.
CONSI set this up a week ago and although I cannot get it to work even after visiting their Facebook page for advice, only to find that many others are having the same challenges, this still isn't functional. I can't see any activity in my community, the app fails and locks up. Meanwhile the emails keep pouring in encouraging me to pay for advertising on this site.

A Good Option to Communicate with Neighbors
I am an active user, I receive daily emails with the latest posts, however, I am not a fan. I feel that most of the time the information posted is not really relevant to my neighborhood.
PROSThis is a very easy-to-use platform. It consists of writing your concerns, problems, or suggestions about things happening around your neighborhood. You can ask also for feedbacks about these concerns and open a discussion about a topic that affects the same community.
CONSSometimes people write about things that only concern them. It can be very distracting sometimes since there can be times where what is written is just a comment that has nothing to do with the community. For example: "Post pictures of your pets"

Nextdoor is an Awesome App
I personally don't have any issues with Nextdoor. I really enjoy using the app and am glad to have been invited in.
PROSThere are many things I enjoy about Nextdoor. The 1st is that is similar to social media sites and apps without so much influence. Parameters that are determined by your home address; ranging not farther than 5 or 10 miles. So it keeps online traffic out, it really helps with the crime and safety and you feel the community presents that cares.
CONSVideo upload i think needs to be easier for others to understand how to upload. I feel a lot of the community has video footage, cell phone, security cameras, or RING; they mention they have a video feed of an event but don't upload the content. Maybe the user can't figure out how? Maybe a step-by-step or something similar to get them to follow a procedure on how to upload video.

Great way to stay in the know in your specific location
Nextdoor has been a great tool for us to stay in the know and to keep up with what is going on around us. It is helpful for finding local contractors, business contacts, etc. Great option if you're looking to be more informed about your local neighborhood.
PROSNextdoor is great for staying updated on the happenings of user's neighborhood. Since it is not a social media outlet that people use to share personal photos or stories (unless helpful for the general public), it is more informative than opinion-based. Very user-friendly. Another pro is the option for Nextdoor to mail invitations to your neighbors so that more people use Nextdoor.
CONSDepending on where user lives, Nextdoor may or may not be used much. If it's not used by many people in user's area, Nextdoor won't be very helpful to them.

Informative, entertaining app to be in the know in your neighborhood
The Nextdoor app is great for quickly and easily finding out what’s going on in your neighborhood. Mostly I really like the tried-and-true service recommendations. The app is intuitive and has a lot of different ways to communicate/participate and feel like you’re part of a community. The text alerts and email updates are my favorite features to always stay in the know.
CONSA LOT of people enjoy complaining in the newsfeed section. If you’re able to get past that, there’s actually quite a bit useful information all in one place!

Great way to connect with people!
I find it a wonderful tool! It has more features than I thought when I first joined.
PROSI love that the community is connected and can watch out for each other in this way. I have seen warnings about burglary and suspicious persons on it and was very appreciative to have had the heads up.
CONSI think there could be some more categories for people to connect. For example, there could be a chess or book club category.

Facebook For Your Neighborhood
I think Nextdoor is a fine app, a front runner with the other social media apps. I do like how it's more relatable to my real life, because it is for the physical neighborhood in which I live.
PROSI really like how this social media site has a feeling like Facebook. Mostly smooth with comparable features and functionality. One benefit to other social networking sites, is that Nextdoor is for my neighborhood specifically. It's an easy way to connect to my neighbors without the additional noise as on the other apps. I really like how there's a "lost and found" section and another for "sale and free items".
CONSI did find this software to feel busy. There are a lot of options that do feel like a sort of overhead, and I don't think I would ever use. These are things like a map of my neighborhood, a business section, and real estate. Some may use them, but for me, it's just extra that I don't have the option hide. Overall, I don't feel the software is as intuitive as something like Facebook.

Good Information, but Clumsy
Overall, a good product. Be careful, some users are over the top and put way too much info/opinion into their posts.
PROSThere are lots of benefits of using Nextdoor, especially if you live in an active neighborhood. You can learn a lot about what is going on around you. Security updates about the neighborhood are helpful.
CONSIt can be clumsy to move around on the app. It is not as user friendly as it could be.
