Very Easy App For Gated Communities
I love this app. I felt like it was a bit more complicated to setup, but once the setup is complete the ease of use is great.
PROSThis is the first time living in a gated community and my fear was that I would have to miss the call from the front gate to let a guest into my complex. DwellingLive takes that fear out of the equation. I can assign 6 people to the list so that they will automatically get into my complex without me having to do anything. For delivery drivers and other guests, the app is super easy to let people in. You also receive text alerts when your guest enters the complex, so you know that they will be at your apartment any moment.
CONSI feel like there is a minute or 2 delay or lag from the time someone is let into the gate from the time I receive the notification on my phone. I wish it was immediate.

Dwelling Live App for iPhone
Love the system - I sure wish they would fix the iPhone app
PROSEase of use and it is a wonderful program. BUT... (see below)
CONSIf you update your iPhone OS to most recent (12.0.1) the Dwelling Live app will cease to function which is a real shame because it WAS great

Announcements function is gltichy
Access device management including use by staff at 24/7 gated entries.
PROSThe ability to use for resident contact, guest management, adding access devices, vehicle information and until the last two months posting announcements that would be sent to all resident users.
CONSLimited calendar functionality and not being able to post announcements that would be sent to our community residents.

Dwelling Live;
I pain to login as a resident/user... every time I have to scramble to find email and old password, and it looks like an old accounting software platform -- but it's functional for event conference room bookings.
PROSThe calendar booking function for rooms/banquets.
CONSThat chat board and/app integration. There are plenty of neighborhood community chat boards...they tried, we have a few dozen users in it, but most everyone still goes to Nextdoor.com or the facebook page.

Non-existent support
As an Assistant Community Manager I am at a loss regarding the DwellingLive complete lack of customer and technical support. I've called every number, sent emails and even posed as a potential customer to try to speak to someone at this company and have had zero luck. Every call is forwarded to a voicemail and no emails have ever been replied to. I work in a regional office of a nationwide property management company and we are now looking into any other option and will be speaking to Executive VP about considering a change.
PROSThere are other options.

I am not able to log in via my app (IPhone 8 plus) for over 1 year. Contacted Customer support multiple times and get the same answer: This is a known problem... we will contact you once is fixed. Please use you desktop... Unacceptable.
PROSIt worked well for at the beginning: it was easy to use.
CONSCustomer Support (or lack of it). I have a issue and had a hard time to find a contact for technical support (phone number, email...)

I don't understand this company
This company does not give a _ _ _ _ . We tried reaching their tech support for 2 weeks. Absolute silence. Switching all of our communities over to a new product ASAP. Called a few "partners" listed on their website and many didn't even know who DwellingLIVE was. Very, very strange. It's a bummer because their product actually works OK.
PROSIt does what it's supposed to.
CONSNo one answers the phones or returns emails. Non existent tech support.

Very weak for security and very expensive
By the time you cobble together enough pieces of hardware and software you have a pretty nice system. But it is complex and each component is very expensive and there is a bunch of leases for the software components. By the time you get it together you can be spending upwards of $1k per month after spending $25k for the hardware. There has to be a better way!

System cannot keep track of its users, therefore login becomes impossible.
Software does not work if users cannot get logged in. Who do you call when you have a problem or need support?
CONSCan not get logged in, therefore, I view the software as unusable. It took weeks for the builder to get me access. Only worked once.
