Bandwidth Software


 

Bandwidth is a cloud-based VoIP solution that caters to large businesses across industries such as retail, real estate and IT. Key features include location routing, number portability and SIP trunking.

Bandwidth’s dashboard allows users to port numbers from various sources and allows users to search, order and create provisions for new toll-free numbers. Users can communicate with their customers using text messaging, person-to-person and application-to-person messaging. SIP trunking allows users to make inbound and outbound calls. Additionally, Bandwidth also offers white page listings as well as expanded local calling (ELC) features.

Bandwidth offers a two-factor authentication that enables security administrators to authenticate account credentials using verification codes and PINs. The location routing feature allows dispatchers to send location information to emergency personnel.

Services are offered on a monthly subscription basis which includes support via phone and chat.

Awesome! Makes getting new numbers and porting numbers so easy!

Pros

The portal! It's so user friendly and has a really nice design to make finding things easy.

Cons

The updates provided in a port request. They seem to just run on and on. There has to be a better way to provide us updates.

Pros

Their customer support , need somthing done they do it no questions asked

Cons

Has a little bit of bugs in their software, but with their awesome customer support it's not much of a problem

Low touch new number Provisioning, Phone Number Dashboard API, honest trust site (status.bandwidth) and a easy to use portal.

Cons

The slight complexity of porting larger amounts of numbers that needed to be split out. This however was supported by Bandwidth through a 'Project Port' moving forward and helped simplify the larger porting orders submitted.

The ease at which I am able to submit port requests and track them. It is easy to navigate and train with.

Cons

The software and supporting database functionality doesn't support some of the reporting I would like ot be able to do and the UI could be updated to show data like ports in a better format.

I like that changes are easy to make, and that there are so many options, to forward numbers for example, and to make cnam updates.

Cons

I don't like that there are different portals. It would be nice to have support, DIDs, e911, etc., all under one portal.

Fast turn up dates for my customers.

Pros

The customer service is very high quality. The database is real time. The layout is nice as well as the ease-of -use.

Cons

I am not sure if this is part of the software or if it is the losing carrier, i have notice several times that my customer requested date receives FOC, then the system supps the order and changes the date to something other than originally requested.

Everything about customer relations is really good.

Pricing and network coverage is really good.

Really fast to provision new DIDs.

Reliable network

Easy to port DIDs. It's nice to have regular updates on order status.

Cons

No support for collect calls

They can't guarantee calls quality on toll free numbers in Canada

Web portal lack a bit of polish (multiple logins for different proucts, weird alignments sometimes, options that are "not available", but still shown...).

API is XML based

I saved alot of time with the ease of use submitting ports or ordering new numbers.

Pros

User-friendly / efficient to work with (Everything you need to fill out is on 1 screen, no need to tab or go to another screen to complete). Most other companies requires users to go to multiple tabs/screens to order or port numbers.

Cons

The partial/full port migration indicator gives off a lot of inaccurate rejects, which in the end result in loss of time making it longer to get a FOC since you need to dispute the reject and resubmit.

The ability to easily organize our phone numbers into sub accounts and locations. Easily being able to acquire numbers in certain rate centers and locations.

Pros

The ease of use of the portal was fantastic. It is far and above other providers that we have worked with in the past. The onboarding team and account rep were very responsive through the whole process.

Cons

The fact that the 911, support and dashboards websites require separate accounts and logins for each.

Other than how simple the software is to navigate, the best part about Bandwidth is their customer service. I can submit a ticket and more times than not there is a resolution within the hour. They are extremely prompt as well as informative in their responses, making them very easy to work with.

Cons

The only negative experience I have had with Bandwidth has actually been resolved. Ordering numbers used to not be straight forward. However, Bandwidth recently updated their system making it much easier to search for numbers specifically.

Price and service!

Pros

I think we all are stuck between the customer and the vendor and need to do our best to make sure everyone is taken care of, support team stepped in for me on more than one occasion to make sure my customer made the impossible deadlines. I cannot say thank you enough for what Bandwidth accomplished!

Cons

The only think I see as a con is after hours support is on call and every minute you wait when you have an issue seems like an hour!

I like being able to see the notes from Bandwidth in the order. The staff is DASH is always helpful.

Cons

I would like to be able to check the status of project ports in the portal. For Toll Free porting, we cannot select customer activation. Toll Free ports are trigger automatically.

This makes porting really fast. Easily order new numbers.

Pros

Its mostly automated allowing me to make corrections easily. Employees are always polite and helpful, many going out of their way to assist in issues.

Cons

The advanced address form portion is a bit confusing. Automatic delay does not seem to work or when you press it the order goes into exception as the FOC is past due. More debugging on the delay activation part might be in order.

Good customer support, over all the software is easy to use. Overall layout is clean and doesn't have too many distractions.

Cons

Wish there was a little better navigation between searching records and viewing a record. If I open a record and then need to open another record, I have to either click the back button (Which is not always the best option) or I have to do a entirely new search.

The service that I received from my onboarding team and my sales team is the best that I have experienced in the last 20 years. Due to the attention to detail and the actual felt care of each of the team members that took care of my account is something that cannot be forced or paid to do. I give this team 10 stars our 5. Messaging APIs have been nice. I also enjoy the porting process with BW. Much easier than the other carrier we use (and we hope to move off of soon).

Cons

Navigating the web interface and the various portals. A new tab is opened for each portal (messaging, numbers, support, etc.). But that's a small nuisance.

Bandwidth.com has excellent service. We have never had an outage with them in over two years. It is very rare for a company not to have outages.

Cons

The only con I would have to say thier pricing could be a little more aggressive. We have a few redundant carriers that hav ebetter pricing.
