BlueHost - Quality hosting services

I have been used the Shared hosting services provided by Bluehost for hosting multiple small and medium scale websites on a single plan. Have observed good performance for all of the websites.

PROS

Bluehost offers a wide range of hosting plans for various levels of website development needs. The hosting services provided by Bluehost offer excellent performance in terms of server up-time. The best thing about Bluehost is the website loading time, which is very quick. Another feature which is of great help is that all annual plans at Bluehost come with Free SSL certificate. Finally when it comes to support, the customer support team at Bluehost provides good and timely support for any kind of technical issues.

CONS

Nothing specific in terms of dislike. Only word of caution is regarding the discounts offered on your first purchase. Bluehost offers heavy discounts on your first purchase (Generally for their 12-month, 24-month or 36-month plans). The discount offered may not be available when you renew the products. So carefully check the renewal prices before going ahead.

Bluehost is a good low cost hosting solution

Have been using bluehost for around 12 years now. Has improved leaps and bounds.

PROS

1. Its cheap 2. The customer support is top notch. It is unfortunate that one needs to contact the customer support for as many things as one needs to , for. e.g approving web forms for sending emails . That said, the support is efficient and it gets it dine fairly quickly

CONS

1. Quality of Email services offered alongside the hosting packages are not as good as they should be 2. Mailing from the websites forms or via CTAs is not as straightforward as one would like

The Worst Hosting I've Ever Used

Terrible, trying to get a refund at the moment, it's like talking to a robot.

PROS

Nothing, I have nothing good to say about the company, steer well clear!

CONS

1. Anybody who has Avast anti virus will get blocked with Blacklist URL - they have an unresolved conflict with Avast. 2. My entire site just disappeared three times, the first two times I got it back, the third it came back but missing styling and other features, when I asked them to restore it, nobody did. 3. It's slow.

It'll be 6 years with Bluehost this year.

I've been with Bluehost for six years now with minimal issues. I haven't needed customer support in ages and everything runs seamlessly. I think I chose wisely.

PROS

One stop shopping. I have found that it offer everything I need and the customer service is excellent.

CONS

I get importing errors more than I'd like and I have to figure out why. Also, while there are a lot of add on opportunities it can get expensive quickly for a small business.

Reason for choosing Bluehost

I liked that it was tailored for businesses more so than a few others and I also liked the the servers are located in the U.S.

Bluehost

PROS

Bluehost comes with a vast range of hosting options with a lot of features. It has great uptime and offers unlimited bandwidth. At their mid-range cost for hosting they offer loads of storage capacity.

CONS

Bluehost's speed is not the fast as compared to other providers.

Best shared hosting provider

Bluehost has been my go-to hosting provider for the past 3.5 years and they have never disappointed me so far.

PROS

Affordability without compromise for performance

CONS

Nothing to complain about much especially considering the price and features they offer

Good enough for what it is

Once you've got everything installed, it's fine. It's a bit more technical than something like Squarespace.

PROS

Easy Wordpress integration. You just click and download and it goes right through.

CONS

Not user-friendly. You have to do the maintenance on your own for security and updating plugins.

I can easily create subdomain with Bluehost also I love their server response time, integration with other software is also easy.

Worst Customer Experience Ever

An incredibly frustrating experience I would not wish on anyone. If you're reading this before you buy, consider another option.

PROS

I never really got a chance to use it. Their customer disservice department ensured I would have multiple opportunities for failure

CONS

Their customer service was atrocious. Easily the worst I've received, and I had to deal with Comcast for years, ok?

Budget friendly hosting for beginners

I am using Bluehost for the last 11 months. Its user dashboard is very user-friendly and ways to use. Every feature is easy to access and use. Overall it's user-friendly and budget hosting.

PROS

Bluehost provides high-performance hosting and multiple features at a very affordable price that ant beginner can afford.

CONS

There is nothing that I didn't like about Bluehost.

Disappointing overall experience

Overall disappointing experience. They bill themselves as a bright shiny hosting provided that's easy to use, when in reality they're clunky, unprofessional, and unhelpful.

PROS

Bluehost has always been on the cheaper side, though this is balanced with requiring a bulk purchase of months upfront (before you even know if the service has worked out for you....).

CONS

Bluehost has been consistently unprofessional in my support conversations with them. First, my website is taken down when I'm not sent payment reminders to my email on file (though they claimed to), then they take my website down and, as a result, my business email inbox is permanently damaged to the point where half of every email sent to me never lands in my inbox. I lose clients because of it. Next, Bluehost takes no responsibility and says that, "everything looks good on their end" and that there's nothing they can do about it. My registrar (GoDaddy) confirms that the issue is on Bluehost's end and something which they did. Lastly, as the cherry on top, any time I've had to speak with Bluehost about a payment-related topic, their "customer service" reps become salespeople more than anything. I get sold to at multiple points in the support call and feel more like they care about upselling me than they do actually helping me with my support issue. Thanks, Bluehost, for permanently screwing up my business's inbox and refusing to help fix the problem. Then, upselling me instead of helping your customer. I've never written a review like this, but after that kind of treatment, I've been compelled to for all the wrong reasons.

10+ years as a customer, Bluehost is terrible!

Bluehost used to be a great company with US-based support teams. Over the years they have slowly outsourced more of their operations overseas and everything from their Cpanel interface to customer support have become terrible.Bluehost is THE most expensive hosting plan I've ever seen... not in terms of money, but in terms of wasted time, headaches, idle developer hours and outages. Do not use them!

PROS

After 10+ years of being a customer I no longer have anything positive to say about Bluehost. If the switching costs weren't so high, I'd be gone in a heartbeat.

CONS

I have been a Bluehost customer for more than 10 years now. Their service has slowly gotten worse and worse. The Cpanel user experience is horrendous. There are error and time out messages constantly. The chat support is terrible. I frequently am on the chat for an hour with no resolution to my issue. Also they are changing their hosting plans fairly regularly and make it unclear about whether they require you to upgrade or not (they send you a vague email saying your account MAY be affected). It's an all around terrible experience... if I didn't have so many sites hosted on my account, I'd switch hosting providers in a heartbeat.

Bluehost Hosting is great value

We have been with Bluehost for years for a reason, best value, best hosting, best overall support.

PROS

Bluehost is one of the best value for web hosting out there and we also especially like their support team, they always resolved every issue for us, if a support team member didn't have the answer, they always found someone else to help and resolve the issue with one ticket.

CONS

Need more control on customer email spamming, we had issues before from some companies putting us on a blackmail list simply because some of Bluehost customers used their email for spamming. We hope more spam control is installed in the future.

Solid web hosting company

PROS

I have used Bluehost for the past 4-5 years as the hosting service for my business website. The best thing is it’s integration with Wordpress. I was able to build my website easily and if I’ve ever encountered issues, the customer service has always been prompt and effective. I currently host a few different websites with Bluehost with no complaints!

CONS

It took a little bit of a learning curve to initially set up and figure out the interface, especially because I already had a domain that I purchased elsewhere. I think it would have been simpler if I had purchased the domain initially from Bluehost and didn’t have to transfer it over.

Worst Service

I need URGENTLY contact information to address problems with more than one of my websites hosted by Bluehost. I am chatting and speaking with Customer Service and Support for more than one month. without any solution. At this point, I am robbed by Bluehost because is charging me and NO giving me service charged

Reliable Website Hosting service

PROS

I like that their shared hosting plan for the website are reliable enough if you are starting out with your very first website and can later upgrade if your hosting needs increase. The basic email they provide via Cpanel is reliable enough to receive and send an email, for me to conduct my daily business communications. They have good enough built-in integration to work with WordPress easily. Whenever I reach out to their support chat for help, I have got a live response and got all my queries resolved.

CONS

They promote Sitelock along with the hosting purchase, which I got for the first year but did not find good enough service to continue for the second year. I hope they stop promoting Sitelock as an addon in their purchase option as it isn’t that good. Their pricing has increased over the last few years.

We've been with Bluehost for a few years now. They website has been updated and is very easy to use. Anytime I've needed help with something, I've always had a knowledge customer service rep who helps me out. Would highly recommend!

My Number 1 Web Hosting Company

Their recurring monthly and annually plans are rational. They price them according to the amount of benefits that a user could get. Not like some other web hosting services that would charge higher with little benefits. I really love their Managed WordPress plan, it's the best for me and that's what I use. All thanks to Bluehost.

PROS

They offer numerous web hosting types including Shared hosting, which allows users to get a domain name, and install WordPress from their cpanel, in less than 5 minutes.

CONS

Their customer service wasn't that active nor attentive, but I'm giving them 5 stars because I've tried different web hosting services like namecheap, iPages and etc, and I guess for me, Bluehost is the best.

Reasons for switching to Bluehost

000webhost is the worst web hosting company that I've used, bad servers, bad management and etc. So I got to switch from there to Bluehost.

PROS

Web platform for my small business was easy to set up. Full disclosure; I hired someone to do the plug ins due to time constraints, but set up was easy and it is not expensive for a small business.

CONS

I have not had any issues so far. I had to communicate once via chat and it was quick and issue was resolved.

Great host

It's alright

PROS

I like the Bluehost doesn't require you to create a website, as I only want to use it for the domain and email for the time being. Customer service, when you are able to speak to someone is incredible, however....

CONS

It's near impossible to get someone on the phone or via chat. I was having an issue with my email that took days to fix because it was so hard to get in touch with a customer service representative.
