Walla saved, improved and rejuvenated our studio... and our enthusiasm for running it.

Efficiency and Sanity. Everything in Walla has made running the studio more efficient, which in turn has offloaded a TON of stress from me personally. I was literally on the verge of throwing in the towel (mid pandemic) when we decided to make the switch to Walla. My zest for this business was renewed by diving into and loving Walla. On top of that... it was so much more simple and efficient than I'd known was possible. Simplicity, Clarity and [SENSITIVE CONTENT] client services. I've loved all their people too!

PROS

The entire platform is clear and simple, easy to read and navigate. For everyone involved... the teachers love it, the clients love and admin (me) loves it. We are 100% more effective on all levels because of the big picture we get from this platform.

CONS

The mail platform hasn't been as easy for me as I'd hoped. We've tried a couple different things and Walla has been extremely helpful in trying to make this smoother for us. They've gone above and beyond to help create ways to make this better.

All the reviews in the FB Studio Owner Groups... indicated that all these other platforms had problems in their own way. None of them felt like the right place to take a chance. In [SENSITIVE CONTENT] interview on a podcast, it was clear that she had been in my shoes, felt my pain and struggle as a teacher/studio owner. I just knew she 'got it'.

I had discovered Walla and just felt the pull. We'd been dissatisfied with multiple things over the years, but never felt like there was a better option.

Walla is the BEST Yoga Studio Software and Increased Our Profitability!

PROS

We absolutely love using Walla's "Online Booking" for our yoga studio. It's got a great look and feel that we and our clients really enjoy. What's best about Walla is how reliable and easy it is to use. We've noticed our clients are super happy too, because they never have any problems with the software. This is a big change from the old software we used, where our clients kept running into issues. Switching to Walla has made things so much smoother for us and has helped our studio grow more than we ever realized was possible. Plus, features like the easy-to-understand Membership Reports and the cool 'buddy pass' system have made a huge difference in making everything run like a dream. Walla has so many unique features and capabilities that you won't find with other software systems. They're the best at keeping clients on your website and not pulling them off to the booking software. We love it!

CONS

Walla is a newer company so it might lack a few features compared to the biggest competitor out there, but we don't mind because it's so much more reliable and looks better than any other software available.

WellnessLiving isn't user-friendly. We had so many client complaints. It was also constantly experience glitches and issues with the Amazon servers.

The refresh we needed

The support team made sure that all of our concerns were heard and prioritized. It's a lot to migrate from a previous software that contains 9 years of client data. Although the transition was a little rocky (as any software change would be), they stuck by our side through and through and continue to take requests for improvement. We love working with the Walla team.

PROS

Walla's user friendly (and beautiful) interface allows for simplified training and less manual intervention with clients.

CONS

The plan management needs improvement, including associated visits, booking procedures and clarity of expiration dates.

Booking software that actually operates the way you need it to

Walla has acted more like a business partner than just a software provider ever since I signed on with them. Their customer service goes above and beyond every time, and they are very receptive to feature requests. In the few months we have been using Walla, they have implemented many of our requests—it just keeps getting better every day! I feel supported, respected, and championed by the team at Walla

PROS

Walla is a dream to work with. The intuitive, fast, and responsive interface was easy for everyone on my team to adopt. Our students love the App--especially the ability to easily bring guests with them to class using the built-in Guest Pass feature. The automatic late cancel / no show penalties bring in enough revenue to cover the expense of the software with the added bonus of training our students to have good class registration habits!

CONS

Walla does not have the level of reporting that Mindbody has, so there are times I feel like I'm only seeing the tip of the iceberg of details of my business when sometimes I want to dig in and get the nitty gritty.

The Hybrid Studio support, the ability to offer credit-based pricing, and the beautiful user interface.

Reasons for switching to Walla

Mindbody is no longer in the business of supporting yoga studios. They are in the business of building their own membership base by selling directly to the customers of the studios, gyms, and other small businesses they serve. They have eliminated almost all customer service access making it next to impossible to get help with problems. The software is antiquated and glitchy. And in the meantime, their pricing just keeps going up, up, up.

Game Changer!

Walla is a game changer for us. We no longer worry about our software or feel like we need to apologize to our clients for the clunkiness of the software. This software has been well thought out, beautifully executed, and is carefully nurtured. We are happy to be a part of the beginnings of this software that we know will be number one in our industry. Our onboarding experience was a complete breeze, the team made everything so easy and so transparent. I'm very grateful for finding and diving into Walla!

PROS

Walla is intuitive and simple, yet incredibly powerful. Our students can register with an ease we have never experienced at our studio, we rarely have client issues logging in or creating accounts. This is first and foremost important to us. The reporting is unbelievably amazing and one of my favorite features. What used to take me HOURS to manually compile in two other softwares is INSTANT in Walla. Having access to these metrics so easily is a game changer for our business. We can keep track of KPIS without spending hours manually compiling stats. We are able to give our staff real numbers to rate their performance and we are able to focus on what matters the most. The automated campaigns, especially the new student one, are incredibly amazing in securing long term business.

CONS

I love everything about Walla! The only things I have to say are simple feature suggestions that I think as an owner would be nice to have within the already amazing software such as a marketing suite (newsletter creation) and being able to have students automatically see enrollments in the Walla app.

Walla had a few features that the alternative product did not have at the time that really streamlined administrative work. Walla's reporting also is like no other product.

Reasons for switching to Walla

Prior to our switch to Wellnessliving we were with Mindbody. We switched from Mindbody to Wellness Living because our costs kept increasing and the software was not improving. We ended up switching from Wellness Living to Walla for many reasons. Primarily we found the software to be unreliable. Our first week with Wellness Living there was an outage and we lost 2 days of virtual yoga (at the time we were still only virtual). This would happen almost quarterly. Our app was incredibly glitchy and our students complained about the difficulty of using the software and registering. Ultimately we needed something that we felt 100% confident was reliable.

Walla is a must have foundation for the business

Walla is the real deal.Overall it's a fantastic product for managing clients, plans, classes, staff and all our financial transactions.We have greater reliability and transparency than we ever did with Mindbody.The support, R&D and senior management of Walla are highly responsive, friendly and knowledgable about their fields.Working with them is like we are one team, friends and colleagues.

PROS

Clean, simple and most importantly *reliable* platform for our business. One responsive UI for all platforms.Consistent user experience and "just enough" features to get the job done well

CONS

Managing inventory is currently missing in Walla however have had great discussions with the team about what a MVP looks like so expect to see it in next year or so.Detailed (and accurate) financial accounting is possible, however requires some custom work to consolidate - again great discussions with Walla team and do expect movement here in time.

MBO was expensive and unreliable with weekly outages, and extremely weak support and no commitment to fix past mistakes in the product.

We Love Walla!

It has been great! The team is usually on top of problems quickly, they have all been responsive, friendly, and actually helpful. The software is easy to use, my instructors and students all love it!

PROS

Walla is very clean and easy to use! No longer to I have to track things down to solve problems.

CONS

Better CRM management would be awesome, and even though it has gotten so much better, more reporting and also being able to take care of invoices and inventory would take away so much from my time and energy. :)

MindBody in my experience was incredibly clunky. The staff was rarely helpful and I was constantly on hold with a team member more than often with them either blaming us for an issue on our end, or telling us they didn't know. Oh also, within the first few months they lost us about $600 in revenue do to a glitch in the system.

Worth the switch

PROS

We moved from another big name company and we have not missed them at all. The ease of use for staff and clients has been huge for our business.

I would love for enrollments and appointments to be as seamless as classes. And I would love more automation options (I know they’re coming!)

Incredibly user-friendly and intuitive

Overall experience is fantastic. We had another prominent studio management software prior to this and it was routinely mind-numbing. Walla is a pleasure to use and provides me with the functionality I need to get administrative stuff done quickly and easily, so I can focus more on the fun parts of owning and operating a yoga studio.

PROS

Walla is so intuitive in its design that learning to use it takes virtually no time, which is amazing for me as a studio owner personally, but also for our team and new team members. You can tell it was intentionally designed from scratch to prioritize the features that are most important to operating a studio.

CONS

It's hard to come up with something I don't like about it. The only EXTREMELY MINOR "con" may be that some of the features are still being developed, because it is new software. But I also like that being a new company, we as users have direct access to company's [SENSITIVE CONTENT] and other core team, so we can help influence that development.

Prior software was obviously a Frankenstein of separate software platforms that were integrated ad-hoc, rather than a whole cohesive, straightforward system, which led to numerous erros and problems.

Switching to WALLA was one of the best things we ever did in our 12 years of business!

My overall experience with Walla has been great. I was amazed at their ability to transition 12 years of studio data in a very short amount of time. Switching was seemless and overall they help us operate more efficiently.

PROS

Ease of use from a management POV + the user experience of booking and managing schedules is a BREEZE! Our teachers also love the ZOOM integration, it has made their job very easy and starting livestream classes is just one click away.

CONS

We have had a few hiccups with some newer features. The good news is the WALLA team is dedicated to fixing issues and making sure we have a highly functioning software.

Walla is a smaller company, but its mission and objectives are clear. I loved their hands on approach and their commitment to a high quality user experience (for myself, my team + my clients.)

Mindbody continues to get more expensive, yet offer less. In addition the customer service is not great. We were with them a very long time and the technology has not kept up with what the newer software providers offer.

A software company you can trust.

I did not realize how much time I was spending helping my team and customers use my booking software in the past. Walla is so user-friendly and intuitive. It has helped my studio grow naturally.

PROS

What I like most about Walla is the high level of customer support and engagement. This software was created by studio owners and managers who understand the unique features we need so we can serve our communities well. The [sensitive content hidden] takes the time to meet with owners through monthly webinars that are informative and interactive. The customer support team is responsive. New features and updates are added weekly. Walla is always growing and improving just like our businesses.

CONS

I have no complaints about the software features or customer service. I wish it was more affordable for smaller businesses like mine, but you get what you pay for so it is worth it to me!

Walla Review

Walla has made the back end of managing the studio less time consuming and allows for more interaction with the client base without adding more time to the task. That in and of itself has been a HUGE help for our boutique studio that is still trying to grow.

PROS

Walla is absolutely one of the most intuitive software systems I've ever worked with. The onboarding process was extremely simple as was the integration for our studio. I was nervous about clients being able to use the system but they gave rave reviews about its ease from the very first interaction with creating an account. It updates in real time, which is extremely convenient and all of your important information is literally listed and easily accessible with just one click. Everyone from the software demo to the onboarding process was beyond pleasant to deal with and absolutely made the switch less daunting and pacified a great deal of the anxiety!

CONS

There are some features that were not/are not available just yet and you don't realize it until you need them. That being said, Walla has been extremely receptive to the feedback and they continue to add the features as they grow and develop the software.

The demo for Wellness Living focused heavily on saving money and very much reminded me of Mind Body and the priorities of Mind Body. My Walla demo made it abundantly clear that Walla cares about small studios and people and is invested in helping both.

Reasons for switching to Walla

Mind Body was impossible to get in touch with to resolve an issue. They did not care about small, boutique studios and cater to larger studios/franchises. There were features that I was paying for and unable to utilize for several different reasons. They were unconcerned with the client experience and feedback. Mind Body is about the dollars and Walla is a people system. That alone, is priceless.

Walla is like a partner

They truly are available to set you up for success.

PROS

The Walla staff is very relatable. They have all been in the boutique fitness business, many of them are former owners. The whole concept of Walla is is help you be successful, successful clients stay with what work!

CONS

There’s one very minor oddity, making a plan inactive on one page but having to go to an entirely different page, that’s not “plan management”, in order to reactivate it again.

Walla for the win

The experience has been amazing. Th onboarding team went above and beyond. After we were rolling they email weekly to make sure things are ok. We are so happy with the move and would suggest any boutique studio who is thinking about moving platforms.. do it!

PROS

Walla has been an amazing addition to our studios. The most important thing is our customers and being able to make everything easy for them. Walla has done this. From the ease of bookings, to bringing a guest and the in app announcements. Walla has been a huge win for us. The integration was handheld and we thought there would be a lot of problems but it was very well received.

CONS

There are a few things that are missing BUT the Walla team listens. At any time I can email or call and someone responds immediately to a question. The Walla team genuinely cares and has studios needs in mind. For what we were paying before moving to Walla the small things that they are working on is well worth it.

The underdog won me over!

It's been a lot easier than I anticipated, I love Walla and everything they stand for and I feel you truly listen to my feedback.

PROS

I picked Walla because they're new and the underdog just like me starting out! I appreciated all the effort they put into the features for client connections. It's seems they have thought of everything. The studio I worked at used Mindbody and we seemed to have way tooo many down times and no USA connection so overseas and "holidays" you would be SOL till 1am our time. I love that they choose real life studio instructors and owners to work for them. PS The flowers when we opened, the best!!

CONS

Class pass integration was rough but we got it, I don't like that it's hard to keep up on new hidden features, if it wasn't for Athena I would have been pretty lost.

I don’t like the “find contact” tab on the top of the class roster because everyone uses that tab instead of the “add to class” tab.

CONS

The response time from customer service has been way too long at times but I believe they've been working on that. There were some additional capabilities around automated messaging and retail that was part of the previous software we used that I miss.

Simple Sign On

PROS

Crucial for your Yoga studio

PROS

The interface of this product is stunningly attractive and user-friendly, packed with numerous functions to streamline your daily operations. It's highly beneficial to evaluate your customers and enhance revenue.

CONS

I am extremely satisfied overall, with only a few minor drawback. To mention some negatives, the cost could be slightly higher.
