CampSite is a cloud-based camp management solution that serves small and midsize camping businesses. Primary features include online camp registration, a parent dashboard, financial management, billing and invoicing, user management and reporting and analytics. 

Other features of CampSite include online forms, communication tools, lead management, bunking board and email notifications. Users can select additional features such as medical management, attendance, transportation management, phone-call scheduling and staff recruitment management.

The online registration module helps parents enroll their kids and access information about activities and sessions available in their area. The financial management module allows users to create payment schedules, batch-process credit cards, run reconciliation and generate reports. The lead management and analytics module tracks the most popular areas based on recent leads and compares leads received each month to the previous year’s numbers. Support is available via phone, email and a dedicated support specialist.

    We like the ability to put all of our various camp and camp information in one place to make it easier to track registration, payment and for our clients to register as well.

    Cons

    The main thing is that you have to sign in to the software giving as if you were registering just so you can see what camps are offered.

    Exactly what we needed to run our campground. The customer support is amazing and very user friendly

    Didn't have any real cons, very easy to setup and use. Would recommend this to any owner. The price is very competitive with other software for the same purpose.

    All in One Camp Software

    This is an easy to use software to have everything related to our camp in one place. It has a communication piece that makes communicating with any specific category quick and easy. It is easy to enroll students and figure out how many you have in each session.

    Cons

    We have a flexible enrollment camp where we have multiple types of plans children can enroll in. In our school year software, this is automated. When we setup Campsite, we had to manually setup the billing and enrollment process. We were hoping this would be more automated. Depending on how you have your general ledger setup, I would recommend asking specific questions to your setup to make sure you can make Campsite fit your system.

    The software was created by people who understand residential camping and the software is very compatible with most camp programs. It is VERY easy to customize the program to fit you.

    Cons

    There are minor flaws in some of the features that aren't always conducive to medical based residential camping but they are easy to overcome.

    I love that I can do it so quickly. Used to take me about 15 minutes to register each camper. Now it takes less than a minute. Parents love it too.

    Cons

    I think that the look of it is not very exciting. The cork board is BORING. I also wish that the medical records were able to be edited easier and that we could have the immunization records from year to year.

    I like that you can get in touch with someone within minutes if there is an issue with our site. I also like that we can make our Campsite skin look like or website so it is not confusing for your families.

    Cons

    I don't have much I dislike about Campsite. The only thing I wish I could change is to be able to edit more in the medical module to fit our unique needs.

    Couldn't Run Our Camp Without Campsite!

    We started using Campsite about 5 yrs ago and it was a game changer for our summer day camp. We are easily able to track, communicate with and capture data for all of our campers, camp families and staff, which we were not able to do before. The transportation & attendance modules have cut my work on those areas in half and I can't imagine going through the process without it. I love that they are rolling out more mobile-friendly interfaces, as we are quickly moving our leadership team to mobile devices while out on camp. This is the first year we are using the Medical module, and so far we were able to change most of our process from paper forms to electronic, which is a real time-saver. Last, but not least, the people that work in their customer help desk are AWESOME. Always just a phone call or email away with a very rapid response time - that's crucial for me when camp season ramps up. We are extremely happy with Campsite, and the constant improvements made by their development team continue to make it better and better. I realize I'm starting to sound like an infomercial, but I swear I'm just a really satisfied customer!

    Pros

    The ever-evolving interfaces that are mobile-friendly, as well as the very customizable advanced reports. Also like the analytics for emails sent, however I wish I could easy re-send to people that never opened the email.

    Cons

    I need an attendance feature for staff. I also need better snapshot views of camper enrollment by week/division, as well as overall bus counts by week. There is no simple solution to either of these problems, so I have to resort to downloading advanced reports and creating my own pivot tables in excel. It's ridiculous that I have to do this! The email client is TERRIBLE and very user unfriendly. 90% of my communication with current and prospective families, as well as staff, is done by email BUT the ability to format the email with graphics, styles, etc. is ridiculously difficult and the source code is easily screwed up, which makes the email look extremely unprofessional in the end. It's truly embarrassing that I can't email a more higher quality communication to my customers. Constant Contact is a perfect example of what I should be able to do, but at a bare minimum it should be as friendly as gmail.

    Campsite is our savior

    We demo'd several different programs, and we ultimately decided to go with Campsite for a few important reasons. 1. Campsite was clearly a software that was geared towards day camps. Many of the others programs out there are so clearly for overnight camps, and day camps who use them need to adapt. There was no adapting to Campsite. It had all of our needs. Transportation, program, even text message integration, it really had everything we wanted. 2. Campsite was able to beat or match any of the CC processing fees that we were currently paying, while other programs had a number of hidden processing fees that we weren't interested in paying. 3. The support that was provided to us and has continued to be provided to us is absolutely top notch. The entire team is available to us when we need them. 4. There is a strong commitment to change and Campsite is always striving to improve. Things that we mention to the technical team that we want the system to do, end up being implemented as quickly as a month or two later. Overall we are incredibly satisfied with Campsite. We honestly could not run our camp without it.

    I've found Camp Site to be extremely helpful and user friendly. We've compared it to a few other management softwares, and while there are a couple of things that can still improve, this is the most all encompassing software system we've come across. I'm very happy with it, and I would be extremely upset if we were to switch to something different. The customer service is always on point as well. They are very quick to respond and always willing to set up tutorials to teach us how to use the latest and greatest features. I would 100% recommend Camp Site to other camp professionals.

    Pros

    All the features it has to offer from registration, bunking, photographs, emails, activity scheduling, medical forms, communication with parents and staff... it has it all. The customer service is amazing as well.

    Cons

    While there are a lot of features offered, there are a few things I haven't found a super efficient way to do. Every system will have its struggles/flaws.

    I had a specific day that I had a few problems on the site and kept having to call back. Luckily every time I called back I had the same customer service representative and when I felt annoying at some point for the amount of times I called him, he was very patient and understanding and helped me throughout the whole day!

    I used to manually input hundreds of summer day camp applications. Now the parents can put the information in the system from their computers at home! Customer Service is great, but they do prefer email. They have many tutorials for all of your questions so make sure to watch those. Even if you email with a questions they will point you back to those helpful videos! The financial side of this system is a little complicated. The payment plans they have set up are confusing, and we didn't know they charged certain fees in regards to credit cards before hand. Our parents also love that they can interact with the teachers through this system. It's also been an asset to our staff for communication. Great System!

    Pros

    Parents can access information from home as well as submit their applications.

    Cons

    The financial payment plans. They make cancelling a registration a ten step process when it only needs to be one.

    The staff at CampSite are great in the start up as well as in the on-going support. Our feedback from families was that this was an improved experience from our prior online registration tool. It was also helpful to include the sale of merchandise with the enrollment options, which doubled our sales from 2015. We are excited that CampSite is making significant improvements to the financial tools. Overall, happy with the product and support.

    Our camp needed a new, family friendly, easy to navigate program. After researching all options, we decided on Campsite. We were very impressed with their website introducing all the features.     I am the office manager at a day camp in NY. I am very happy with the purchase of Campsite software. The support is excellent. The reports you can generate are flexible and can be easily modified and customized. Enrollment and billing is easy. Invoices are sent via e-mail (no more mailing invoices). If there is something I need and don't see, they never say "oh we can't do that" they say "let me take it to the team and see what we can do"...

    Cons

    Wish the font was a hair bigger when printing reports. Not the worst thing, I could always export it to excel if needed (but would be nice).
