### About CRAFTS

CRAFTS — Childcare Management Software Built for Canadian Providers

CRAFTS is cloud-based childcare management software built specifically for Canadian daycare centres, childcare providers, and multi-site operators.

CRAFTS brings enrollment, children and family records, attendance, billing, payments, staff management, documents, reporting, observations, and parent communication together in one centralized platform—helping operators reduce spreadsheets, paper processes, and duplicate data entry.

Designed for Canadian childcare, CRAFTS supports organizations managing CWELCC-related administration, subsidies, fee structures, attendance, staff documentation, compliance requirements, and parent communication.

Built for Canadian Childcare Operators

CRAFTS is designed for organizations that need more than a basic parent communication app. Directors and administrators can manage day-to-day operations while maintaining visibility across programs, staff, children, families, and locations.

CRAFTS is well suited for:

Daycare owners and directors looking to reduce administrative work
Growing childcare centres managing enrollment, billing, attendance, and documentation

Parents can view account balances, manage payments, receive daily observations and updates, view securely shared photos and videos, review attendance, submit absence notifications, access financial documents and tax receipts, and communicate securely with their childcare provider. Staff Management & Compliance Staff records and documentation ECE and other credential tracking Certification and expiry monitoring Renewal reminders Staff scheduling and time tracking Centralized document management Compliance and operational reporting CWELCC & Canadian Administration CRAFTS is designed with Canadian childcare administration in mind, helping operators manage workflows associated with CWELCC, subsidies, reduced fees, attendance, staffing, documentation, and reporting. Centralized records and reports help administrators maintain accurate information and respond to operational requirements. Multi-Site Management For organizations operating multiple childcare locations, CRAFTS provides centralized visibility while allowing individual centres to manage their own operations. Administrators can filter by location, monitor organization-wide activity, and manage access based on user roles. Reduce Administrative Work. Improve Visibility. CRAFTS replaces spreadsheets, paper binders, and disconnected administrative systems with a centralized platform for childcare operations. Directors gain better visibility into enrollment, attendance, billing, staff, documentation, and families, while educators spend less time on administrative tasks and families get easier access to the information they need. Implementation & Support CRAFTS provides structured onboarding and support to help childcare organizations transition from existing software, spreadsheets, or paper-based processes. Data migration assistance and customer support help teams get established quickly. CRAFTS is built for Canadian childcare providers that want less administrative work, better visibility, and a more connected experience.

### CRAFTS is the right tool for childcare operations

Great - I love the support and helpfulness that we have gotten and continue to, even into our 6mth of operations. The time that has been provided to us, to ensure success has been very appreciated.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Value for money: 5/5
- Customer support: 5/5
- Functionality: 4/5

#### Pros

I like how it is an easy and logical tool to follow, in addition that it does the equation calculations for you, this eliminates a number of errors by the user

#### Cons

I would like to be able to set more specific activity permissions for users, within the key sections, as the way our organization operates our childcare manager has some responsibilities for some activities that are only available with full Administration access, so currently I am now needing to do these versus them, due to lack of access - I don't want to give them Administrator access

#### Reasons for switching to CRAFTS

It was not meeting our needs and was very difficult and time consuming for supervisors to use

Overall, we are very pleased with Crafts, and although we have only been using it for a short period of time, we really like it's design and flexibility.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Value for money: 5/5
- Customer support: 5/5
- Functionality: 5/5

#### Pros

The process for billing, tracking and processing payments, and the underlying encryption and security of the information in our portfolio . Additionally, the process in managing our families and enrolments is intuitive and robust. There are still many new things I am discovering daily, but overall I am very happy with the software. It is stressful when switching over to new management software, but the support we received from [sensitive content hidden] and his team during our set up phase (we actually just starting using Crafts March 1st 2024 after initial training and rollout) was above and beyond my expectations. They are very responsive to any queries, and their support training videos are great reference resources during the initial start up phase. I would recommend their product without reservation!

#### Cons

None so far, meets our needs, has flexibility, and great support

#### Reasons for choosing CRAFTS

Much better payment processing system at a cost effective price

#### Reasons for switching to CRAFTS

Their software platform met our primary need for an efficient, accurate, secure and cost effective payment process system, with additional functionality in managing our client base at our early childhood learning centre.

### Great software!

Overall I really like CRAFTS, and how easy it is to use. As an Admin, I need to be familiar will all current aspects of our software package, and CRAFTS is great to answer all questions, and apply tweaks when possible. Our facility has never used a software for childcare management, so we of course had a lot of questions, however CRAFTS was able to develop something for us that suits a lot of our needs.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 4/5
- Value for money: 4/5
- Customer support: 5/5
- Functionality: 4/5

#### Pros

Looked at a few different platforms, but CRAFTS made the most sense for our needs and specifications! The customer service team is very responsive, knowledgeable and helpful. The team was able to fulfill a lot of our specific requests and tweaks, and they are very quick to respond to questions.

#### Cons

Although CRAFTS does have an email option, there is no current option to have a sort of inbox (or see past sent emails). You send off an email, and that's it; parents and staff must respond to YOUR work email, so it takes the communication off crafts and onto another platform. We are still working out our messaging/communication functions and seeing what works best for our team!

#### Reasons for choosing CRAFTS

Suited our needs the most, and this company offered the most flexibility

### Great Support!

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Value for money: 4/5
- Customer support: 5/5
- Functionality: 4/5

#### Pros

Deciding on a childcare software program was a process. CRAFTS was chosen for the ease of use and the ability to have multiple locations within one program. The offsite access to information has assisted in management decision making. The support to staff and management for our many questions, training and requests has been outstanding!

#### Cons

Staff are continually adjusting to the way the program is designed and not how the company processes have been setup for years.

### A versatile program that ticked the boxes

- Overall rating: 5/5
- Reviewer: Amanda N.

[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN] and his team have been incredibly accommodating despite our exacting standards and seemingly impossible demands. CRAFTS is a pretty comprehensive program unlike anything else on the market. It is intuitive and user friendly and once you get your hands on it I can see that you can really do so much; save time, paper and reduce errors.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Value for money: 5/5
- Customer support: 5/5
- Functionality: 5/5

#### Pros

I love that this program is cloud based so our home child care providers can access it from anywhere with a computer, tablet or phone. With attendance now in the hands of the parents and providers there is less room for error. The interface is visually attractive and intuitive so the training is easier. We can set reminders for everything so that we don't forget students' birthdays, rate changes or providers' certification renewals. The ability to interface with Bambora to accept EFT payments has been a big help which will certainly cut down on the need for collections.

#### Cons

Because it is a cloud-based program and not a completely customized program there are a few work-arounds that we have to do in billing. In all fairness though, we have very unique needs that many clients wouldn't require.

#### Reasons for choosing CRAFTS

We needed a program that specifically catered to a Licensed Home Child Care Agency. We wanted to be able to communicate with parents, use tools in the Cloud, bill parents, collect payments through EFT, manage a waitlist and assist with the registration process. Not many programs have that versatility and capability. I also felt the entire CRAFTS team was really responsive to our needs so I knew that we could work with them and that they'd be there for us if we came across any challenges. If I had to do it again I'd choose CRAFTS all over again.

#### Pros

Takes so much off the plate of a volunteer board No more manual entry of enrolments Great tracking of attendance Great customer support! Accepts online payments Has parents fill out all necessary information, fill out on boarding and sign consents before they can successfully enroll

#### Cons

A couple features with re-enrolment that I didn’t like(not filing the re-enrolled kids into the new room) made for some manual calculations to ensure I didn’t overfill the classDidn’t automatically waitlist students when the capacity of the class was reached Didn’t email parents automatically when their child was successfully enrolled Complicated to set up drop box and EFT

#### Reasons for choosing CRAFTS

Canadian program Accepts payment All in one program

CRAFTS has made my days a lot more efficient. I am able to have all the information I need right on the platform, I am able to communicate with the parents right away as I can send them e-mails and text messages right in the platform and can write down any observations I have. It helps me also see the progress my kids are making and I can log all the fun activities I have done with them!

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Value for money: 5/5
- Customer support: 5/5
- Functionality: 5/5

#### Pros

What I like most about this product is that it is a much more efficient way to track everything I need to do! It is an all in one platform for daycares and makes communication with parents a lot easier and in real-time.

#### Cons

Personally, I do not feel as though this product has any cons so far. It has just made my life a lot easier.
