My students love to share on our Padlet Walls, and it's never a boring lesson when they get to post and read their peers' responses. Because my students love it, I love it too! Having unlimited Padlet access I can create interactive questions to help my students learn and be engaged, instead of just having them respond alone on a blank piece of paper. Many features that are the central selling point of entire services exist within Padlet as just another option for how you create your space. I use Padlet for sharing, working with teams, submitting ideas, and even to gather feedback. Cons: One downside of Padlet is the freedom and openness can mean that you have to be a bit more intentional about how you set up your space in order to get what you want. More options and flexibility is great! But it also means there's more to choose from and more to filter out. Reasons for switching to Padlet I used Trello to organize shelves of to do lists for complex tasks, but this is just one of the many features built into Padlet, so it's significantly more effective to use them as I get way more options as a bonus! Sandbox is A LIFESAVER to ensure I can get participants engaged and sharing thoughts and ideas easily and instantly. Cons: It would be nice if there were more solid background color choices. Reasons for switching to Padlet Loved Jamboard but it is going away. I tried FIgJam and Miro first as these were recommended by Google. They were not user-friendly enough. It's simple and easy to use and it works well whether it's about social or individual learning. It's works with groups and all class activities too. I like the fact that students can post their answers anonymously because this creates a safe environment for them to participate in class activities. Students can post anything from pictures to text to file etc.. so it's very flexible and inclusive. I use it with my students not only for in-class activities but also for preps and even to interact with an existing content before our seminars. It's a great all round tool and every educator must use Paldet in one way or another. Cons: There's no possibility to shorten the links. Although I use QR codes, links are needed for students who use their laptops to access the page. This means that every time I create a Padlet page, I have to rely on third party websites to shorten the link.
