The best platform help improve communication between suppliers and the project team.
As a result of this program, modifications to the work schedule are more realistic because of the accurate information it provides about when the items will arrive on site.
PROSCompany supply baskets, including invoices, quotations, and requests, need to be clearly communicated to all employees. This is a critical program for firms. All staff members will receive updates and alerts from BuildPro in a timely manner, ensuring that all requests are up-to-date and being followed up on. To further reduce the likelihood of supply chain disruptions, BuildPro will help improve communication between suppliers and the project team.
CONSIt's all good, BuildPro is simple to use, and there are no challenges in learning how to enter data and follow up on tasks assigned by the users.

Terrific scheduling and communication tool!
As our trade partners come to trust our scheduling and communication through BuildPro, they gain more faith in us as a builder. That trust level and the ease of submitting and completing items for payment makes us the builder of choice
PROSI love the ease of scheduling, rescheduling, and communicating with our trade partners. Being able to track schedule changes and review performance based on that data allows me to have constant control of my schedule, making me more effective and efficient.
CONSOccasional bugs and failures are frustrating. Spending time to create a schedule only to have the system fail and lose my dates is very frustrating. Errors with sending notes is too common

BuildPro review
Overall I think BuildPro is a good product that needs a face lift/update been using it since early 2000's. Technology has come a long way and BuildPro is still the same 20 years later as far as user interface . I like that BuildPro is a single point scheduling and payment tool that can be accessed from any device with an internet connection.
PROSI like the multiple ways BuildPro can be used to schedule via JME, To Do List & Box. I also like the alerts and notifications that keep the CM engaged and in tune with their jobs.
CONSI recently had to work on templates. I found it very arduous and time consuming. Too much button clicking my hand was sore & swollen by the end of the day. Took me all day to update a hand full of templates. Also in the reports some of the fields are not descriptive. For example some reports just say "Date" I have know idea is it the start date scheduled date completed date. Also need to be able to run EPO by completed date that is what matters is when the money is spent. Searching by created date doesn't allow you to see true costs for a month week day etc

Helpful Software - Still growing up
As stated we fully believe that BuildPro works. We are working through the minor issues with schedules easily. We are unsure of the supplier side communications. We also have strong feelings that the Admin resources are lacking enough information to be useful at this time.
PROSI like that the software fills a gap for builders and had created the standard for a cross functional communicator for builders and sub-contractors. I have no doubt that the programmers are constantly working for improvements. From a general contracting perspective the schedule tool functions nicely and new add on features so far have been welcome.
CONSReports. The so-called canned reports are not designed with a holistic intent of solid reporting and seem to be whatever someone paid for a report gets dumped in line as an available report. A number of them do not function. I would love to see a report writer that allowed selection of key data to be easily added/subtracted.

BuildPro - user
Reducing the need for printed copies of plans and specifications. Primarily to avoid the need for field staff and work crews to come to the office for these items (especially during the COVID-19 pandemic). Online, the information is available 7x24 as long as you have a device with a web browser. To date, have NOT experienced an outage or issue with accessing the system
PROSAccess to builders' plans and exterior colors/options for us as a subcontractor. Eliminating the need for paper copies for the office, the field supervisor and the work crew. Access through the Internet via web browser on smart phone, tablet or laptop.
CONSThere is a lack of integration between this and other competing products - often need to either do a screen capture, then paste it into a document for import into another system, or downloading a file as a PDF to likewise import/export. Requiring creating own scripts to automate some of this.

BuildPro Review
Overall, it's functional but really only on a desktop. It can be used on a phone or tablet but the UI is not friendly and requires a lot of zooming in and out.
PROSHaving all of the tasks loaded every time. Knowing that I won't have to worry about subcontractors not getting paid timely. And navigation is also relatively easy.
CONSNo app support, desktop crashing seems consistent, and having to "force sign ins" without allowing multiple log-ins is frustrating.

Best In The Business
We are doing more WITH BuildPro than we could ever do without it.
PROSBest in the business. You are not going to find any other construction scheduling software out there that is going to do what BuildPro does.
CONSIt can get complicated with regards to integration and implementation. Less a limitation of the software than just a fact of life.

It is not a bad experience, it works good for what I use it, but there is definitely room for improvement.
PROSThe most impressive thing is the amounts of data that BuildPro contains.
CONSSome items are too sensitive and will not allow our system to integrate properly if everything is not aligned perfectly, there should be some flexibility. Also, when spreadsheets are created, there is too much information within a single cell, it would be a lot more beneficial and time saving if information in the cells was a bit more broken up.

Buildpro
Overall experience with Hyphen Solutions has been outstanding! They had the representative come out and give us training and use it in the field every day as we have has proven to be most effective and helpful during construction
PROSThe fact that the functionality is user-friendly, and can communicate with the vendor in a timely fashion. Also the ease of notifications
CONSThere should be an option or notes can be read right from the task. At times has gotten stuck having to call customer support, which in turn was very helpful

Michael Review for Supply Pro
I use this website mainly to get lot specific plans for AV Home Builders. They are very easy to access and they are already in PDF format which some other websites do not have.
CONSUnless you do not use this often, it might be a little confusing on how to get to the plans. You have to go to "view builder documents" then do a bunch of scrolling to get to the plan you need. There might be a shortcut to them but I don't know what that is.

We like how we can accept the PO's from the vendors. If using for payment it works best for us.
CONSThe lack of being able to delete things out. Not being able to keep a PO from being accepted if it's wrong. As the vendor we do not like that we are having to pay for the builders to use this software. We shouldn't be charged to accept the po's on their behalf.

I have been using BuildPro for quite some time now and after getting used to the operation, which didn't take long, it was/is a great tool out in the field.
CONSNot really a con, but just making sure on a daily basis everything is where it should be. Not a BuildPro issue.

SupplyPro - Not Useful for Subcontractors
This program seems more geared towards suppliers than vendors. Maybe BuildPro would have been more appropriate for our business, but was not an option. Using SupplyPro adds additional steps and doubles the work for billing this project.
PROSIt seems to work well for our GC and they apparently like the ability to make payments to their subs and vendors through this software, if they choose.
CONSWe are "required" by our GC to use SupplyPro to submit our "Payment Requests" (billings), but unfortunately this program does not appear to provide any valuable benefits for our company. It is neither user-friendly, intuitive or informative. It does not generate industry standard AIA progress billings and lien releases that can be downloaded and printed. If you want a record of your SupplyPro billing, you can do a "print screen" when entering your billing and prior to submitting, but you cannot view it once submitted. Change orders are not added to the total contract amount (as is standard) and must be submitted individually as separate contracts. Lien releases are not generated at the time of billing and must be submitted outside of the program. The one release that was in the program was incorrect and could not be accessed to view or change in the "Docs to Sign" section of Lien Docs. It appears you can't track sub-tier lien releases or other compliance docs.
Reason for choosing BuildPro
We did not choose SupplyPro, it was required by our GC. Paying $85/month to submit one invoice per month is extremely expensive, when there are no other benefits to doing so.

Very useful software
As a construction manager I oversee the building process on many homes at the same time in varying stages. Having build pro mix coordinating with suppliers and vendors much easier in terms of scheduling and communication.
PROSThe to do list is great as it brings up everything that needs to be addressed or scheduled based on leadtimes. It’s a great starting point every morning.

Hyphen Solutions is Functional
Prior to this job, I have never used Hyphen Solutions. It has been super easy for me to learn!
PROS-Hyphen Solution is easy to use! -Keeps all uploads organized and consistent -I love how you can view history and it keeps a record of what has been uploaded -You can easily delete, disable and edit any file, which is so convenient.
CONSIt's a little outdated looking. But functions beautifully.
