Very Good Software for Small Businesses
Combines all work completed on one site.
PROSOne location for Project Management, Invoicing, Tracking, Time Tracking (Clocking In/Out)
CONSFor me, I overall need a program that will let me Import a PO. Not from an Estimate, but an Import field. When I have 200 plus line items..it's easier to be able to import than manual entry of all items. Secondly, it'd be nice for the PO to update on qty's as I receive against the PO without having to rely on my employees in the field to enter all information into a Daily Log to show qty delivered.

Needed a Software that would give me more. QB was very limited.

Always Improving!
Contractor Foreman is well worth the investment. I like the constant improvements that the developers are always working on. Customer service is very responsive. I have made multiple suggestions to development and have always received a response whether it be for more info or sometimes, what their plan is to implement my suggestion.
PROSContractor Foreman is very customizable. I like that the user can has to do a minimal amount of setup in order to start using the software.
CONSThis is very basic software. Reporting is somewhat lacking but the user has the ability to create custom reports with available data.
Reason for choosing Contractor Foreman
As we had not been using any software, I thought Contractor Foreman would be a good first step to introduce users to project management software.

Flexible Construction Management Software Program
The program is customizable and flexible to fit most companies' needs. In our case, CF is doing a great job at helping us track the progress of our projects. We have up to date data about the materials and labor used for each project which helps us better estimate future projects. We also like the client portal which helps us increase communication with our clients. CF has the essential tools to address most of our business' project management needs, and the value is the best.
CONSCF is not as compatible with the Safari web browser as with the Chrome web browser, but CF is transparent with this on their website. In addition, we've experienced some small glitches on the app, but it works well enough to complete functions while on the job.

Hopeful for product but overall disappointed.
Overall I have had a very negative experience with this program, very buggy and made it hard to train staff on when we had to have constant work arounds. If they were responsive on their customer service team and were able to handle the bugs quickly this wouldn't have been an issue however as I stated above sometimes it was over a month before I got a response. The only way I could get a response right away was by going onto their main site not logged in and then they would answer within minutes. Also it was the same people doing the customer service that were answering on their main site as well, I thought it would've been a different team which is why I was getting a quicker response but it wasn't. This program has cost me far more time and money than if I just would've paid more for a better program.
PROSThe numerous features in the project was great.
CONSThere was no training on how all of the modules worked together, just on the modules individually in the videos. The customer support has been terrible I am just this week receiving responses to tickets sent in on Feb 10th, it is now the End of March. The customer service team always seemed to have the mindset that I was wrong and wouldn't fully read what I was telling them. Because of some bugs with the links to QBO we had progress invoices syncing over that were for full value rather than the percentage (This has been Fixed). There is something wrong with the link now that once it syncs over to QBO the values are changing. When completing work orders into invoices the fields would not properly fill out requiring lots of manual entry, we changed our workflow to not use those because of that so I have not checked to see if that has been fixed.

Cost was a large factor, and there was all of these modules available that covered everything. This was actually the downfall of CF, too many modules that didn't work well or didn't work together properly.
Reasons for switching to Contractor Foreman
There was limited ways to track a job on fieldpulse and we were having rounding issues between fieldpulse and QBO that were not getting fixed. As it turns out CF also had the same issue.

Overall features provided were incredible compared to others and a far better price. The company provided so much information, that it was easy to know that Contractor Foreman was what fit best for my company. It had everything we needed to properly manage all aspects of our custom home building company.

Customer service is terrible
When we first started using it in 2019 it was easy to talk to customer service. In fact, the customer service was amazing!
CONSCustomer service is terrible. Spoke with multiple people during chat. Was told to email someone and never received a response. It has obviously become a bigger company but it's unfortunate that customer service was affected.

New to Construction
I like the tabs at the top for navigation and how each tab can communicate with the others and that you don't have to input info multiple times, you can just import from other tabs.
CONSNothing so far. Everything I've learned so far as been super helpful, as I'm new to this industry.

Well organized system
I like the versatility of CF. I can use the mobile version to directly upload contacts onto the dashboard. My contractors can also use the mobile version to provide project status updates and upload photos. Additionally, whenever I have issues or questions, it's easy to get in touch with customer support.
CONSCF has an option to provide suggestions on how to improve their system (which is great), but it would be nice if they followed up to let me know if they are actually working on implementing the suggestion.

A budget software with serious usefulness
Although roll out of CF has been a bit bumpy and there is certainly a learning curve involved, it has been good! Every Step of the way has been a bit easier knowing there is always support to reach out to if you have any issues or confusion.
PROSThis software packs more punch than you would expect at its meager price point. It offers so much in the way of construction management that it is almost unbelievable. The best part? AWESOME customer service, ltterlay at your fingertips. If you are struggling with anything, an agent (usually one of the same few people) are available in less than 5 minutes to help you with whatever you are struggling with.
CONSSince this software is a bit new, it is kind of clunky. Some of the processes to do things are less than efficient, and it definitely isn't "as pretty" as some of the other competitors, but what other competitors are charging $10,000+ for, CF charges about $1,500.00. However, this is made up for my the fact that they are constantly updating based on real customer feedback, I am genuinely excited to see where this product is heading!

Reasons for switching to Contractor Foreman
We will be switching from Raken to this once we are fully integrated and our subscription is up for the year with them. This product is 1/2 the cost for 2x the seats and does way more than Raken can.

GREAT SOFTWARE TO KEEP YOU ORGINIZED WHEN U HAVE SO MUCH ON THE GO
Awesome as I just started this company funds were tight and they were flexible and allowed me to make monthly payments so i could use the software. Other software's were 50 less a month but they were so confusing I couldn't make a estimate even after 1 hour of training so trust me this is the best software for small start up construction company's like mine
PROSContractor Forman was the 4th trials software I used and by far was the easiest to learn and navigate through without any training. I need to get training on invoicing % of jobs and when i finally hired a employee I need help with time cards but the estimate software was so simple to create professional estimates
CONSI wish I could scan documents and receipts in and have it auto populate the amount date items etc. Also I could be wrong here but i think any tools u buy for the company need to be placed under a project which is rare for me.

Projul charged me in the trial period and it was to hard to learn even though there software is looks more up to date and inviting, but that's not the case I was so angry they didn't even try to help me use there software and were quick to cancel and keep my 120.00 back. so there trail is not free they bill your credit card !!!!

New Contractor Foreman User
The training people at Contractor Foreman have been a pleasure to work with. The certainly understand our business and terminology. This has been a very good fit for our company.
PROSWe are just starting with the implementation of this software and doing as many training videos as possible. So far, we are very pleased with the ease of integration to our business, but it is going to take us some time to be fully integrated and have all of us using the system properly.
CONSThe length of time that it will take us to master the system. I wish we could become much more proficient within a few weeks, but I think it's going to take us much longer to be using all of the features properly.

Cost was a big deciding factor, but I felt like Contractor Foreman is more intuitively understandable to me and our type of business. They use the same terminology as we do and I feel like everyone that I have spoken with are actually contractors and not just a computer programmer selling their product, but understand how we need to solve our problems.
Reasons for switching to Contractor Foreman
We had dropped BuilderTrend about a year ago when Covid hit and we had to let some people go due to our workload. The cost to keep that program going was just not worth it to me. Once our work picked back up again, I wanted to keep our monthly costs lower and found that I liked Contractor Foreman much better than BuilderTrend.
