The accuracy of the calculations makes this a terrific tool, especially when preparing for audits. The states are hungry for funds and Vertex helps me send them away with little to no money.

The customer service people are also exceptionally friendly and the Exchange provides a great opportunity to network with them and fellow colleagues.

Single point of failure. If any part of the connection to Vertex is down the ERP system is unable to complete jobs.

I like the ease of using the transaction tester (as long as you remember all the flex field needs). The rate lookups and exemption certificate handlings are very easy to use.

Vertex Cloud granted the ability to automate the tax function with a graphic user interface that is both comprehensive and easy to learn.

The customer support and ease of use has been fantastic. I have had to call Vertex for support, for recommendations on doing things and for knowledge on the product.

Customer service is all by e-mail and it's poor.

I love the features I can create a file to upload into the online filing so I don't have to key in all the info.

Searching capability is limited within the products and exempt customer lists. Once you have entered a product or customer as exempt it is very difficult to undo it for that period.

The only thing that we don't like is being charged a minimum fee if we do not use the software in any given month.

User interface is very intuitive and the documentation helps beginners to get acquainted with the tool quickly. Updates tax rules when there are changes in a state.

The approach used seems inefficient. Error logging levels re address cleansing failures are cryptic at best.

There are sometimes outages, since we are using a cloud based product, and those do cause some orders to go through without the correct taxes being charged.

The best part of the cloud was not having to have a dedicated remote server for all our software. The old Vertex ran but required constant maintenance, monthly updates, SQL knowledge.

Great experience overall for a large enterprise in automating the tax engine seamlessly, the O series has been more comprehensive than the past series.

Does not work well with Firefox which is a browser our organization uses often, will often get glitchy or stop working entirely.

O-series is a very robust product. Very user friendly and intuitive.

They even have an estimate you can do before you file that will tell you about what your looking at which was awesome.

The price is a little steep and if not using for multiple returns its hard to justify the cost of it.

I am always a little intimidated with the use of new software.

It's functionality and availability was particularly helpful. I was impressed by customer support.

Pro Series is easy to use even on complex returns.

The attitude of the company whether it is tech support and sales is really bad. Don;t even have Americans.

And I can do it if I pay for a new license with exchange and c/c charges.

I love that it's completely cloud-based. I run a remote team from abroad and this facilitates that process very well.

We have had a positive experience with Proseries Tax.

Once you purchase the software, they automatically sign you up for auto-renewal, and don't let you turn it off. They give you a phone number to call that is available during limited hours.

What did you like most about this software is that it is very userfriendly and an easy tool for those familiar with turbotax.

I'm sure you've seen all their TurboTax and QuickBooks commercials and advertising. Those are the products they care about.

Costs and the fact that they made me pay for something I wasn't going to use until the following year.

Overall we like Intuit's software product, but as our practice grew we needed a more fully integrated product.

The professional version can be used with the Quickbooks integration which makes it very easy to use and import data if you are already using the Quickbooks software.

The software is very user friendly and easy to navigate (when it is running smoothly without glitches). The software guides and prompts you while completing forms.

Robust software that provides a straight forward easy to use interface for tax preparation across all 50 states and the IRS.

ProSeries Professional seems to be having more problems than they have had in the past. Trying to get through to their tech support is terrible.

We now use Drake for, I kid you not, less than a 1/4 of the cost. IT IS ASTRONOMICALLY BETTER.

Slow loading maybe, if I have to come up with something. Probably just for to poor networking though.
