I’ve been using Parsio for over two years now, and I was one of the first users since I signed up through AppSumo. I was thrilled with the service, which worked extremely well until last November. I was using Parsio to extract data from certain emails I receive. However, the email forwarding feature no longer works, and Parsio no longer "receives" emails forwarded by Gmail. The customer service, which is extremely poor by the way, suggested I subscribe to a €30/month add-on to get the service working again. I’ve perfectly understood the move: Parsio intentionally degraded the service for AppSumo customers in order to force them into a paid monthly plan. I find that shameful and disgraceful. #### Ratings breakdown - Ease of use: 1/5 - Value for money: 1/5 - Customer support: 1/5 - Functionality: 3/5 #### Pros Parsio is simple to use and was working fine. Templating is simple. #### Cons Email forwarding no longer works. Parsio mailboxes aren’t receiving my emails (I use Gmail to forward them). Parsio replaces extracted email adresses with "email protected" in the extracted data, even though it still shows them in the preview. Customer support is terrible. #### Vendor response Thank you for sharing your experience—we truly appreciate your long-time support of Parsio. To clarify, there has been no intentional service degradation for AppSumo users. The issue stems from the type of Email Service Provider (ESP) used. Free-tier users rely on a free ESP, which we cannot control, while paid users benefit from a premium ESP. Unfortunately, free ESPs sometimes block incoming emails, which seems to be the issue here. We offered multiple solutions, with the premium add-on being just one option. The claim that we intentionally degraded the service is inaccurate and misleading. Let us know if you need further assistance.
