The Odissa Jewellery Marketplace Using Ixxocart

Overall the software has benefitted my organisation by providing a useful marketplace for members to sell their products. The support team work and respond in a prompt and friendly manner and, when you get to know them better, even have a sense of humour; which is a good thing to have when they have to work with some of the ideas that I've thrown at them! :-)

Pros

Ixxocart is a great platform for building an online marketplace. It has many features as standard that are not available without paying extra for on other platforms and I like the fact that it's developing at an exciting rate with new features being added regularly.

Cons

The software may appear a little daunting to begin with as there's so much going on but, in reality, is quite user friendly and the admin area now has a useful search function in case you can't find something in particular.

IXXO is a game changer

The sales staff is always ready to solve any challenges. Follow ups are prompt and to the point offering alternative solutions. I never felt anyone was pushing extras on me. The support staff is professional, friendly and courteous, tickets are resolved timely.

Pros

This multi-vendor platforms is fully featured, integrated taxes, real time shipping, offers a plethora of vendor features for products. The platform is able to scale to a high volume of vendors without any changes or add-ons. The cost-benefit ratio of the multi-vendor platform exceeds Shopify Plus or any others like Megento, Woo Commerce that basically require custom coding for software features already available.

Cons

The number of features can be overwhelming at first.

Feature Rich and Great Value

I planned this business with care and really wanted something that was powerful, flexible, supported and developing constantly. I also did not want something that was free and unsupported or has 1 person that supported it. My future lies in my business and having the team at IXXO is like having my own IT/Engineering department without the expensive overheads. Take away the frustrations with lack of manuals and of course, my own inexperience and I would buy this product all over again. I highly recommend it to anyone serious about developing a multi vendor business.

Pros

It has a lot of features and after a year I am discovering more still. It allows me to control a lot of site function, adjustments, changes etc which gives me control of the experience for the vendors. I did my homework before going to IXXO as this was my first experience with a multi vendor system but not with e-commerce. There is a support which uses a ticketing system and the guys are quick at responding to questions and are very helpful with answering questions and suggesting solutions when I run into a challenge. There is a lot to it and you can build a really nice Amazon or eBay style e-commerce solution, it even has wholesale and groups for special pricing, a feature I will be using shortly. Initially, I thought about building my own, then realised there was no point when someone has already done it and better than could have specified. The guys are also good at customising the software for some special circumstance that my business needed.

Cons

The product is so feature rich and the development is continual that for someone who lacks experience with similar products to the process of learning the intricacies of the software is very frustrating. I like to self teach and will read anything that will help but the lack of up to date manuals is very challenging. Saying that, if I go back to support and asked the questions they will try and give me the answer fairly quickly, but by then I've spent time looking for it without success. However, because they release updates to the software, I sometimes find it intruiging to discover new features that makes you go 'wow, that's interesting' The flexibility that different vendors required when it comes to shipping is a challenge at the moment, basic shipping is built in but complex situations where different vendors have different practices with delivery options and price variations is the next task. These guys know their software really well and I have absolutely no doubt that by the time you are reading this they would have solved this as well. This tells the speed at which they solve problems.
