That time has passed. Unless you are an expert, get on a platform that manages responsive code, security, and risks. The price was right and it got the job done if you needed an online shopping cart. Cons: The idea of self-hosting and maintaining your own code is now obsolete. My site was hacked several times and there was a constant threat that had to be managed. Adding new features and functions also required coding and knowledge of SQL. Graphically, OSC was not responsive without major code changes. There are now better alternatives like BigCommerce and Shopify just to name a few. Threat management and responsive site code is managed by the platform and there are many templates and integrations available.
