Wiise move from basic finance system

Wiise were very responsive with putting us in touch with a partner to help implement it. They were also very helpful with support (onnline) and willing to answer our questions quickly.

PROS

Wiise is pretty much ready to go out of the box. It was easy to set up (needed some help from our partners) but the script from Wiise allowed us to include our accountant, link to bank statements, set up pay by credit card button on invoices, customise our outbound documents and link to our email system (O365). It was easy to customise screens, reports and dashboards. Navigation is easy with the drill down from the dashboard and the search capability.

CONS

I could not get it to work easily with Hubspot but we turned on CRM in Wiise so it did not matter in the end. I does have links to D365 Sales bu we don't use that. I could not set it all up myself as it's an end to end businss system so we did need support from a trained partner.

Reasons for switching to Wiise

lack of functionality, lots of manual steps

Steep learning curve resulted in mistakes in the system in the initial stages which required efforts to fix once we became familiar with the system

PROS

1. Good workflow approval process.2. Audit Trail for the day-to-day process.3. Capabilities of exporting reports into multiple file formats.4. Quick Overview dashboard.5. Notification emails for approvals.

CONS

1. Help function in the system is useless. It doesn't help at all when you type something in help function it will take straight to online or goggle website which anyone can do directly typing it in goggle. 2. The import file function for General Journal is also pointless because it doesn't import all the data, some data you still have to manually add them line by line in the GJ which is quite a tedious job to do. 3. Attaching file function to Payroll GJ doesn't work unless the document is attached twice. The approver will only be able to view the attachment if the file is attached twice. Which to me doesn't make sense. It is the flaw to the system.

Reasons for switching to Wiise

Xero was not supporting the volume of invoicing and transactions flow each day.

FVS Services Group - Finance System Upgrade

The most critical element to a successful implementation of WIISE is the choice of business partner.

PROS

The underlying accounting system, being Microsoft Business Central is a high quality mid level ERP system; KeyPay is an excellent payroll system capable of handling complex awards, EBA's etc; together these 2 software systems are WIISE.

CONS

Finance reports out of the box when using a multi dimensional chart of accounts are not good; you must use Power BI, Jet Reports etc. to provide meaningful finance reports to be provided to Branch Managers, Supervisors, Senior Management etc.

Reason for choosing Wiise

Multi company, multi dimensional reporting requirements; really needed to step up payroll processing utilising the Workzone App to eliminate paper based timesheets etc.

Wiise

Wiise, the company itself, have been amazing. Their customer support have supported and continue to check in on us and continually offer assistance and help us resolve any queries or issues which have arisen. They put us in touch with a great Wiise Partner which has assisted us get to the next level and made our company see significant improvements in efficiencies and decision making.

PROS

Being a Microsoft product the integration of other Microsoft products is fantastic. The ability to make bulk updates to customers, suppliers, the chart of accounts and a huge range of settings as well as the ability to upload detail for sales invoices and supplier billing in Excel and publishing to Wiise in a matter of seconds is fantastic and possibly Wiise’s best feature. This has provided us with such significant improvement in reporting, not to mention the efficiencies!

CONS

The software took a bit of time to get use to using and understanding the settings. It’s really important that you find the right Wiise Partner to assist with the set up and integration. Without the right support, it can be difficult to get up and running.

Reasons for switching to Wiise

We outgrew our prior product. We needed a platform which would allow us to see more depth and work with the dimensions in more detail as well as improve reporting.
