Very Good Auction Platform

PROS

We are starting the implementation of the tool, but so far Auction Software has been taking care of all those details we have asked. Our crew is pretty happy about what we have shown them because it's a great improvement from our previous auction app. We were able to send our data using APIs and this new platform is processing it very fast, that means almost real time publishing for us, which is great because we normally have very big auctions, with hundreds of lots publishing at the same time.

CONS

I can't think of many cons with Auction Software.

Extremely satisfied customer this is now the 2nd project we have had built by auctionsoftware.com

This is my 2nd project/business built by auction software and we have been extremely demanding and every aspect has been built as requested. I have used 3 other software companies before going to auction software and we had nightmare situations with the other 3 companies that wasted a lot of money and time. With the other 3 companies either the software would not work or they could not debug and with other 3 companies used before Auction software they always had major issues with getting PayPal to work. . Auction software was excellent at debugging and making the software stable and THAT makes a huge difference and also Auction software's contacts with PayPal are excellent and they always get PayPal to respond next day and get the Payments working, THAT is worth it's weight in gold to us. What I like about our experience with Auction software is it's not ALL about money with them they ALWAYS want us to be happy. We still use them for development and maintenance and there is good accountability for hours but quite often we find the amounts we pay are more favourable towards us than actual hours worked, When it comes to work done for internal bugs for example, in those type of circumstances Auction software takes responsibility for liability for those hours and we are not charged for them and THAT say's a LOT about Auction software. They are not trying to squeeze us for every last penny, I find them to be VERY trustworthy and I could not imagine ever going anywhere else.

PROS

I liked the customization options as it is very flexible and can meet extremely demanding and complex requirements. I also liked that we did not need to spend a ton of money on branding design as it looked great straight out of the box. The support during and after development is absolutely great. The cost is a big factor for us and I find it's extremely good value for money. I had very bad experiences with other companies before using auction software and auction software turned things around for us simply because they can make stuff work and make the software stable

CONS

I didn't have any criticisms and I think that say's a lot

Terrible service and outdated software

We've spent tens of thousands of dollars with Auction Software and ended up going with another company. We were never given access to our own hosting which we were paying for and had so many code issues with the application they have developed for us which made it easier to start from scratch.

PROS

Existing features that eliminate the need to develop from scratch.

CONS

Outdated software running on old Ruby version that cannot be updated.

Vendor Response

Avi licensed our S/W "TopExpert.com.au" project in 2018, referred another customer "Ilia T"as well. In Feb (2019) emailed as below. "Hi AS, I hope everything is well. We've made the unfortunate decision to shut Top Expert down due to no traction on the business side". So, we gave backup in encrypted form to run on their server. It was clear from on-boarding and very well spelled in Contract small & medium product is cost effective to go live in 3 weeks. We give front end code (React.js / DB, unencrypted) , back end code in Ruby or Node (Encrypted) , It's like purchasing Microsoft Office for $10 and asking to give the code of the MS office since you paid for it. Also path to upgrade to large was rejected. It is unfortunate that the customer says our code is bad, wants our source code. Say to us No Traction and go to another development company. Using our software, $160M credit card transactions processed in 2019/20. Our Policy is same for all, check website - BuyNow - FAQ - Q&A- 8

Auction Software custom build

We started Blowfish (a B2B food surplus marketplace) in the fall of 2021. After months of discovery we felt it was best to work with an auction software company that was reliable and experienced. Everyone we talked to in the online auction industry mentioned Auction Software as industry leaders. Auction software has a robust development team that delivers. Our marketplace needed many customizations and Auction Software managed to provide us with everything we wanted. They are experts and i would highly recommend working with them.

PROS

- I was impressed with the overall quality. The ux / ui design is beyond what we expected. - inexpensive - Customer support and responsiveness is really good. We had a ton of customizations which required a lot of communication. Most of our communication was done through Casecamp which is their custom online project management tool. It was easy to use and was a big help. - Custom software provided a Project manager named [SENSITIVE CONTENT] who was very informative and helpful. [SENSITIVE CONTENT] was always available and an expert in the online auction space. Auction Software cares and want their customers to succeed. Blowfish would not be where we are today if we did not go this direction. We look forward to our continued success alongside auction software.

CONS

- Really not much in terms of cons. For the amount of money we spent we feel we have an amazing piece of software.

Successfully took on a challenging product

AuctionSoftware was not only affordable, but they were willing to step out of their comfort zone by working with 3rd party vendors for payment and shipping that they hadn't interface with before. Through the difficult parts of the project, our assigned project manager kept the team on task and communicated often with us to clarify requirements for the project to make sure we were satisfied with the implementation of our website. It was a pleasure to work with the entire AuctionSoftware team. I would highly recommend them for anyone that needs an eCommerce site developed for them.

PROS

- affordable - good communication - issues/bugs resolved quickly - project tracking was seamless in CaseCamp - team went above and beyond to ensure our satisfaction with the product - implemented new features that didnt exist in their base templates. This was a must for us and they delivered very well.

CONS

None really, the project took longer than expected to be delivered, but due to the complexity it was understandable. The CEO was very apologetic about the delays and worked with us and the team to ensure completion as fast as possible.
