Adaptable ATS with first rate support
While using Octo we have effectively gained control of all recruitment within the business so can successfully manage the hierarchy. The compliance of our onboarding for regulated roles has significantly improved and is auditable. We can monitor and manage agency spend easily. This is all while having managers being the ones responsible for their own recruitment as the system is so intuitive. I would happily talk to potential new users about the full benefits of Octo ATS as there is not enough space to give full details on this page!
PROSThis ATS does everything you need from an ATS, from attraction / application to onboarding. However where it stands out is the service that supports it. I have always felt like a valued customer. We have been able to continually improve our recruitment processes and practices as we have control of the configuration. If we are seeking development in the functionality the support team is honest in the capability and the timing the developments may take. The reporting is good and constantly being improved with dashboards and visuals that allow us to measure how successful recruitment is. The integration into our job boards for auto postings also is a real bonus and saves the requirement for an additional job board aggregator. While we don't currently use the functionality to interface with Oracle, which is our HRIS, this is a feature that is available. This allows for a much more agile and cost effective ATS compared to the integrated systems of larger HRIS's.
CONSI would like to be able to accept video applications rather than just CV's for a number of reasons and this is not currently available, but innovation and improvement is at the forefront of what the team at Octo do so I am confident this is a

Combination of Cost and adaptable to be a bespoke system that could continually develop.
Reasons for switching to Octo ATS
We wanted a more comprehensive ATS system that would support the whole way though recruitment not just being a portal for applicants on a job.

Changing how we recruit and attract candidates using Blue Octopus.
Greta service and support and the system is providing benefits to the suitableness in saving time for managers and paperwork to recruit, but also reducing the recruitment time.
PROSThe Business had no ATS system and it needed to move forward. Blue Octopus ATS provided us with the solution to support the HR Team and our managers, but also our perspective candidates. The system is easy to configure, introduce, administer and navigate around and is linked to the careers website and various job boards. Blue Octopus support is excellent and responsive. The system cuts down on recruitment time and administration and candidates now get a great experience from the business.
CONSThe user set it is time is consuming to set up and maintain and the authorisation and offer request are separate process.

Feedback on Octo ATS from a Recruiter Perspective
It is a lot more simple that previous ATS systems that I have used in the past I did raise some concerns with our account manager and she did raise them with the IT team and some of the requests have been implemented which is great
PROSIt is simple to use I adapted easily to using it and it fits currently with the needs of the business as it it also easy for hiring managers to use
CONSIt can be clunky and some of the templates are not in the correct place for ease of use and flow sometimes

Blue Octopus Review.
My experience has been great overall. I have learned how to use the system in different ways and this is all because I have been trained and assisted when needed. [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN] is fantastic!!!!
PROSOur account managers are so helpful and respond to queries instantly. [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN] is on hand always and is always there to help us improve our knowledge of the system. Could not get a better service with this. The system's recent new lay out is great. Candidates are easy to find (the searches work well). Love the way it gives a summary page and really like the fact we can adapt the applications to suit us. The new automatic emailing for a new user set up is fantastic and saves us time.
CONSI would really like the attachment limit to be increased currently at 2MG. We sometimes have large documents to upload. Also would love to be able to upload videos.

Octo has made our recruitment much easier.
Octo has made our recruitment a lot easier and has given us much more visibility of the vacancies we have across the business. A lot of our hiring managers are responsible for their own recruitment but with Octo we can still see how their vacancies are progressing. It's also allowed us to get more accurate reports and data.
PROSWe initially advertised on job boards directly but they're now all integrated into Octo and we're able to see a lot more detail on the progress of our vacancies across the business. Customer service is excellent, yet to find a problem or question that the team can't overcome! We received a full training video on how to use the system which has really helped us roll this out across the business.
CONSIt can take a bit of getting used to and took a while to get up and running, there was particular struggles around integrating our WordPress website but it was achieved in the end.

Great Customer Service & Support with Campaigns
We find Octo a great ATS for what we need, we have control over how we need the system to work for us, and look forward to the new UI and future feature releases
PROSI like the dashboard, as a SuperUser in charge of recruitment for my organisation, it gives me a great overall snapshot but also the ability to drill down to really interrogate our data which I love. I also most commend [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN] for the fantastic support they give to the recruitment team.
CONSA big item of feedback from our Hiring Manager users is the 'notification' of recieving new applications, or being able to see 'live' users who have yet to complete application - I have used other ATS that lets us monitor the 'drop off points' on the application and would quite like this functionality also.

Great product and service
ATS was implemented to ensure our multi-site business managers were able to have the visibility and control over who they were recruiting and where the talent was coming from, before this there was no process or visibility for this population.
PROSThe ease of scoring candidates and moving them through the system, easily customisable to suit the business needs and flow process and ability to build on the platform as the business evolves.
CONSVery little to dislike about the Octo platform.

Intuitive software, fabulous Account Manager
The recruitment process at ISD was very admin heavy, Blue Octo has completely streamlined the process meaning the HR team and Line managers can spend more time on value added work.
PROSThe software captures the approval sign off process very effectively. Once a vacancy is approved, the process to then turn it into an advert is seamless. The software is very intuitive and easy to use. Our Account Manager, Laura Cundall has been absolutely fantastic throughout the implementation of the software. Each step was broken down into bitesize chunks and NOTHING was too much trouble for her, she always tried to make all our ideas work and if they weren't possible, she explained why and offered an alternative solution. We couldn't rate her more highly - thank you for everything Laura!
CONSCreating an application form seems quite complicated but I'm sure with practice it will be fine.

Blu Octo review
The customer service was excellent right through from first viewing the system, signing the contract, working through the build, working through the implementation right through to go live and we still continue to receive excellent support
